I guess this is good news for the 'Keep Hate Alive' crowd exemplified by Paul Krugman - a growing number of us think the other party is evil and stupid. Also corrupt, racist, sexist, and terrible at ballroom dancing. As I have said before, there is no money in moderation; its the angry and energized that write checks and buy books.

Often a country can unite against a common foe. However, that is more successful when the foe is external. Right now the Democrats view the legacy white patriarchy as the root of all evil in this country. it's going to be hard for them to get all of us on board with that.

We seem to have a straight line voting pattern that fits with what Democracy Alliance calls the New American Majority. I noticed that the abrams campaign uses that same term.

I should probably capitalize that as she is now going to be perpetually campaigning and undermining Rep's at every level as in the way of her desired change. She is a very bright woman, but she has fully embraced the MH vision.

All of this blah, blah, blah is because I wanted to tell you all some exciting news -- I am so happy. I applied through Senator Inhofe's office for a pass to tour the White House for the Christmas Holiday Decorations tour (for myself, daughter, grandchildren, and sister) and got approved and so the six of us get to see the First Lady's decorations. I am so thrilled. Makes me smile just to type this. :) So, just wanted you all to know how lucky I feel.

Those are the cute ones, Ext.

The left is 5'11" oldest daughter. Stud volleyball player at the Middle in local high school in her day. Won a couple of sectional and regional championships and was always in the local paper sports pages. Homecoming and Prom Queen. Straight 'A' student. Class President every year till they made her resign when she graduated at mid-term her senior year to go I.U. a semester early. She graduated from I.U. in May and I moved her up to Chicago a couple of weeks ago for her first 'real' job. Black eyes and brown hair. She's the one that makes my chest pump with pride.

The middle one is my 16 year old who always thought she'd be the next 'Middle' till genetics got in the way. She's 5'5" and done. She got a gene that gives her emerald eyes, sandy blond hair and springs in her legs. She'll never be Homecoming Queen, Class President or graduate from H.S. early. I don't care a whit. She's the one that makes me smile.

The one on the right is my youngest at 14. About 5'10" and 155 lbs. He got the black eyes/brown hair gene and is gonna be a big'un. A carbon copy of the oldest in every way except for gender. Smart, big and handsome he checks all the boxes my Dad didn't get to check. I was pushing him out the door the other day to get on the bus and he pushed back a little and was definitely sizing me up! Loves soccer and is learning that being big helps in what is truly a contact sport. I have a track coach constantly begging me to make him do track 'cause 'he's built for the long distance relays and we need him.'

My only regret out of the lot of them is that not a single one of them has ever expressed the slightest interest in basketball.

I'm from Southern Indiana so that's a big deal...
