Per a new filing from Team Mueller, Paul Manafort lied when he was supposed to be cooperating with the Federal investigation into anything that can be pinned on Trump.
Maybe Manafort really can't tell truth from lies, or maybe Mueller has an expansive definition of "lying". Either way, this has to be yet another red flag for anyone advising Trump about maybe negotiating a live interview with Mueller.
Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn. Another day, another 4-D move by Sessions and his WHITE HATS.

I just interviewed a master's grad from my alma mater, generally considered top 5 or better in my field of engineering.
This candidate had taken no fewer than three soft headed courses in climate change BS.
This once fine institution is apparently now perfectly happy to treat those courses as worthy of their master's degree in engineering.
I actually hired him, but it's been an interesting pathway. We discussed, during the interview, the shortcomings of his education and the practical coursework he will need to audit in the coming two years. And i hired him at a lower salary as a result, and he accepted. I think he's actually got promise--it could not have been a fun thing to have blow up on you during the interview, and he not only handled it well but did all the necessary follow up steps to chart his new course.
So hopefully this ends well but I'm about to have a conversation with some professors at UT.

Hannity starts off with FISA talk and the lack of releases. He believes that the damning evidence will be withheld for two years because it will be more valuable in the 2020 election cycle.
His inside sources tell him that it will bring everyone down. They got the goods on all the swampsters. EARTH SHATTERING!!
He said it cannot come out under a Dem controlled House.
Part of my decision to limit my political comments stems from the reaction to my post election blues about the severity of having lost the House. Maybe 4D Part II, Wait & See Boogaloo will mature into fruition in 24 months. Maybe not.

Update on my tire. One of muy neighbors is part of the family who owns our local oil business, and has a car repair biz. He came over with his air bottle blew it back up so I could drive the little mile to the station and shop where he found a fully embedded 1/12" sheet metal screw on the inside tread of the tire. Able to plug it, and in checking the rest of the tires found them all underinflated.
Lesson learned to pass on, check those tire pressures every time you fill up. I have been driving so much back and forth to Canterbury I kept putting it off. Makes a big difference in ride comfort as well as mileage as TK will probably attest. Now I remember that I had gone on the beach one Sunday and forgot to reinflate at the air station. Getting old sucks!

Because DoJ and FBI are not Trump controlled and never have been. That’s been a big part of the problem all along!
The Dems in the House will have plenty of allies in the executive branch and among the GOPe to wreak havoc and ruin lives of loyal Trump appointees.
It’s the President and a tiny handful of appointees and maybe half (if that) of the congressional GOP contingent against all the Dems and the
Full MSM and the vast majority of the federal bureaucracy and the other half of the GOP congressional membership to boot. You’ll pardon me if I don’t feel good about those odds.

Hannity sets the tone for one hard core subset of people who already support Trump. He will never cause a fence sitter to land on Trump's side of the fence, and he will do nothing for somebody like MM's daughter except solidify her hatred for Trump.
MM, I am not mocking anybody at all. I just happen to think the opportunity to make great changes has passed, and the historians can work out when the point of no return was passed. My guess is the goose was cooked when Clinton was not countered effectively, if it was not already cooked even then by the post 1960, certainly post 1970 public schools then colleges. Trump brought us hope that that was land on the horizon but alas it was just a storm cloud.
I will grant that there are around 60 million of us who thought it could be saved and that Trump might be the one leader who just might pull it off, but that leaves 250 million who don't want it to change, or want it to change for the worse, or simply don't care. Those 60 million can fill all the rallies between now and 2020 but in the end, they will be but 60 million and key states will be newly gone.

Old Lurker,
Trump doesn't operate in the normal way, and he has surprised people with a lot of actions they didn't expect. I am going to come down on the side of him surprising you.
He has telegraphed a couple of things. One was his statement at a press availability on his way to Marine One, when he said that he would never forgive Obama for decimating the military, plus there were other things he would talk to them about later.
Second was the 3-part tweet this morning, which indicates to me he knows a lot about Mueller which isn't public yet, and that he is going to release information.
The FISA declassification has been held up due to objections by the UK and Australia. What if Trump decides they can go to hell and does so anyway?
I am having a martini and am quite content with how he is operating. I suggest you read that Daily Mail article with the interview he gave to Bosse and Lewandowski that I posted earlier today.
Do you think Obama and Hillary are smarter than Trump? I don't. You can sit on the ledge and preach doom and gloom, but I am looking forward to a lot of this stuff coming out.

Its not like they don't have the Alums or parents who do this without a sweat but its idea that they want to be inclusive and have everyone participate so you can say some day, "I paid for that brick or window or door." I am all in favor of endownments, in fact I pushed our board to require each family to make a contribution to an endownment each year when I was President of the board in Florida. Fell on deaf and empty pocket ears.
Their travel budget is a big expense item. Going to China to recruit students, holding hospitality events in DC, NYC, LA, Denver, et. al. is expensive but it seems to work. And to be perfectly honest, what they want to do for this Student Center has me reaching for the check book. Just a beautiful concept, expecially its location on Campus.
Posted by: Jim Eagle | November 27, 2018 at 04:46 PM
MM "Do you think Obama and Hillary are smarter than Trump?"
Your mistake is thinking this is Trump vs Obama & Clinton. Obama & Clinton are only figureheads for a vast global movement away from individual liberties and freedom (and the personal responsibility and consequences that demands) so that the cannon fodder of the masses can be leveraged by those who want to control everybody and thus all the global wealth. I keep stating that that motivation is as old as human history, is a product of human nature, and our two centuries were simply a random aberration in the course of the human experience.

Manafort either has refused to continue to tell the lies that Mueller wants to hear; or has refused ever to tell the lies Mueller desires.
This latter day Inspector Javier will persist-say what he wants--or else; or simply "or else" if you refuse to answer.
Trump would be a fool to sit down with Mueller; Mueller has that old FBI habit of taking notes--with his version of what was said--which may or may not reflect what the interviewee actually said. Then if later the interviewee does not recall things exactly as recorded by Mueller, then he's a liar! If Trump deals with Mueller at all, it should be through written answers to written questions. That will throw Mueller off the old FBI game.

That is one reason he surrounded himself with military. Mattis, Zinke, Kelly, et.al. Doen't take Bill Nye type intelligence to figure this out. He will not go quietly. Not right away but when it comes to fish or cut bait, he will.

Sadly, we've lost quite a few GOPe, TK. In return, we got Graham 2.0 and a bunch of other stiffened spines. And Romney in the Flake trade, of course.
Btw, did you guys see that Flake is still refusing to vote for judges until the Protect Mueller bill gets passed? (Which Trump would surely veto.)

I do not trust Graham 2.0.

Hell, I don't trust the 115th Congress. Why stop at Ms. Lindsay?

I think Trump is counting that as an overall win in the midterms since successfully draining the Swamp includes weakening their political power.

Still no Russians in sight in the endless Mueller investigation. Did Manafort tell Mueller that he would find some actual Russians for him as part of his plea agreement?
Posted by: boatbuilder | November 27, 2018 at 06:02 PM
I think most people here are under the belief that Manafort doesn't have any Russian collusion-related dirt on Trump and that the crimes he committed occurred long before he became Trump's campaign manager.
If that is the case AND assuming the reports are true that Manafort was caught lying to Mueller and violated his plea bargain, then the "lies" could be related to Manafort's business ties with the Podesta brothers and/or Oleg Derispaka, who are both bigger fish than Manafort.

My guess, Manafort didn’t confirm today’s Guardian fiction, because it didn’t happen. That fiction was Mueller’s magic link to Russian hackers he already indicted with no evidence. I suspect Mueller is a tad miffed at being shown s clown instead of hero at the end of this movie.
Note, Schiff will keep pumping the “Muh Russians” til hell freezes over. Given a solar minimum instead of global warmening, that will be sooner than he expects.

Jack--here you have been calling Obama an idiot, a fool, etc. for years, and yet he was way ahead of you on the importance of inflating tires properly. You should have listened to him as he is the smartest man in the world, just like he keeps telling us. And you still left out the part about how it will solve our energy problems. Obviously you are blinded by your right-wing hate-filled rage. :^o

If you are a Mel Brooks fan, then you will appreciate that Nellie Ohr is the Mastermind behind all of this.

The only thing the DOJ couldn't have investigated, that Special Muler has investigated, is the only thing Muler has found nothing criminal about.

He decided to go down in history as a joke. Kind of surprising.
