On the tour today, when inside Notre Dame Cathedral I saw a machine advertising that if you stuck in a 2 Euro coin it would give in echange a gold colored coin, on one side St John Paul 2, but on the other side a smiling Pope Che. Love narrowly lost her re-election bid to Democrat Ben McAdams earlier this month – and Trump was quick to call her out for not embracing him more on the campaign trail. As she conceded, Love said she was initially surprised Trump “took a jab at me,” but she later wondered “what did he have to gain by saying such a thing about a fellow Republican?”
“This gave me a clear vision of his world as it is: no real relationships, just convenient transactions,” Love said. “That is an insufficient way to implement sincere service and policy.”

I recommend that President Trump issue White House Press passes to every reporter at the Mars Landing presser, and at the same time I want him to revoke every Press Pass to the White House of ever current White House Correspondent. Swap one gaggle for the other---America would benefit enormously on the informational side of the house, and NASA coverage would immediately tube.
It is comforting to reassure myself that African American NASA Scientists are all engaged in Muslim outreach as the probable explanation for their total absence from Mars Mission Control. Otherwise I would have to conclude that NASA is racist.
The Volt is a hybrid: it uses a gas motor to charge the batteries if you go past its (modest) range. And at highway speeds, one uses both the gas motor and the electric ones.
The Bolt is their fully-electric model.
I always thought that the Volt was a clever design, but a transition one.
This has quotes from the dems as well as an explanation.
Here is my explanation: Mary Barra withdrew from President Trump's economic advisory council. She sits on the boards of Disney and Stanford University. She is a Romney-type GOPer, if she isn't an actual dem.
I went looking for her donations but she gives them all to the GN Pac. However, I note the GM Pac supported Sherrod Brown.
Thanks, DrJ. A transition to fully electric? I've never been clear on the societal gains of either, in the sense of cost-benefit. (Which is a polite way of saying I think the cost-benefit is negative.)
Jimmy "(Which is a polite way of saying I think the cost-benefit is negative.)"
But, but what about all that free government money and tax benefits. And don't they get enough Al Gore carbon credits to fly their Gulfstreams? And don't forget being able to park in spots even better than ADA and get free charges. Oh. And being able to drive in HOV lanes all by oneself.
Yes, as transition to fully electric as batteries improved.
I too remain unconvinced by fully electrics, but they do offer an advantage that the emissions (neglecting manufacture and disposal) come from the utilities instead of many, many exhaust pipes. Now whether it is worth anything to remove CO2 from the power plants is another story.
Note that the Cruise and the Volt share the same platform. The Bolt is on a different one, I think.
Their perspective they point out that Bannon had found the hole in the bogus Russian diplomat ejection. The whole controversy with the leaked speeches, unlike Bannon who insists on making himself thr David stockman killjoy.

daddy,
Dittos on the press gaggle. I had forgotten what serious reporters looked like until I saw that group at NASA.

jimmyk,
The Volt is a hybrid: it uses a gas motor to charge the batteries if you go past its (modest) range. And at highway speeds, one uses both the gas motor and the electric ones.
The Bolt is their fully-electric model.
I always thought that the Volt was a clever design, but a transition one.

Malloch had a slin but well drafted volume on his experience

As I said this morning, Lewandowski and bossie latest is pretty good. From his limited perspective.

Silly boy.

jimmyk,
Yes, as transition to fully electric as batteries improved.
