The Phony Witch Hunt continues, but Mueller and his gang of Angry Dems are only looking at one side, not the other. Wait until it comes out how horribly & viciously they are treating people, ruining lives for them refusing to lie. Mueller is a conflicted prosecutor gone rogue....

....The Fake News Media builds Bob Mueller up as a Saint, when in actuality he is the exact opposite. He is doing TREMENDOUS damage to our Criminal Justice System, where he is only looking at one side and not the other. Heroes will come of this, and it won’t be Mueller and his...

....terrible Gang of Angry Democrats. Look at their past, and look where they come from. The now $30,000,000 Witch Hunt continues and they’ve got nothing but ruined lives. Where is the Server? Let these terrible people go back to the Clinton Foundation and “Justice” Department!

France to close 14 nuclear reactors by 2035 and all coal-fired power plants by 2022

President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that France would shut down 14 of the country's 58 nuclear reactors currently in operation by 2035, of which between four and six will be closed by 2030.

MissMarple2

daddy,

Where will they get their energy? Wind?

Seems pretty foolish to me.

Narciso79

They need a boulanger, after 40 years they got a petain.

James D.

it's sure going to make energy more expensive for the French.

That's the whole goal.

The point is to have the general populace freezing and cowering in the dark, while their betters live lives of comfort, luxury and ease.

It's the same goal the leftists have here. How else can they know how superior they are, unless they are living it up while we fester and die in misery and squalor?

Speaking of Mueller, there was a discussion @ AoS about what the latest fixation on Manafort is about. JackStraw is confident that Manafort has nothing on DJT so I'm wondering if Whitaker is directing him to scrutinize his other sketchy relationships, i.e. McCain and Podesta.

Tweets about anger at Mueller and previous crimes and criminals fall on deaf ears with me until further notice.

Just as is speculation about all that might be crammed through during the Lame Duck Session.

henry

Uh oh, a "muh russians" outbreak in the Muellerfest zone: (from the guardian article above)

A separate internal document written by Ecuador’s Senain intelligence agency and seen by the Guardian lists “Paul Manaford [sic]” as one of several well-known guests. It also mentions “Russians”.

Manuel Transmission

Re photojournalism, several years ago when Glenn Beck was still sane, his home town of Mt Vernon just across from us on the mainland announced that they were going to give him a key to the city. So a couple of the Seattle TV stations send crews up to film the threatened protest that was announced. So the resulting images of the THREE protesters were shot by the photographer laying in the street looking up at them standing on the curb. If there had been five or ten he might have just done a close crop, but you couldn’t obscure the background with just three, so he had to employ the sky. Pffft!

Momto2

MM - Someone posted a lovely video of Melania touring the Christmas decorations on Facebook. I did not read the comments. I remembered last year the outcry about the white trees (weren't they supposed to be lifeless and cold and awful - just like the Trumps or something?)

So this year I thought, "What could they possibly say about these lovely decorations to slam the First Lady?" I shouldn't have doubted their ability to be nasty and hateful about anything and everything...

Old Lurker

"In its ongoing climate crusade, the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano echoed dire warnings in its weekend edition that the present generation may be the last to be able to battle global warming effectively. “Climate change is the key challenge of our time. Our generation is the first to experience the rapid increase in temperatures all over the world and probably the last that can effectively combat the imminent global climate crisis,” the Vatican paper declares"

If you wouldn't trust the Pope to lead you across a busy street, why would you trust him to get you to Heaven?

MissMarple2

Momto2,

I don't read the comments, either. I ran across that one because someone re-tweeted it to make a point on how unhinged they are.

Good morning,

jim nj, thanks for that photojournalism post. I love photography! Sometimes when I take candid shots at family parties, I'll sneak up behind the subject, focus and then yell at them so they turn around and then I snap a natural unposed pic of my loved one or friend.

henry, I can't find a shred of truth in that 9:39. It's based on the salacious and unverified dossier!

And I love the presidents three part tweet. It made my day and gives me hope the truth will prevail.

Levin started off his show last night with how worthless the GOP is with cunts and cocksuckers like Mia Love, her patron Latter Day Saint Romney and Sassehole actively undermining their party's President. And even that stupid fuck Mike Lee has joined the pile on. I guess I failed to figure on the Uniparty-R being so dedicated to maintaining their place at the ruling class trough by selling us out but that's exactly what they've done and anyone claiming otherwise is lying.

It's DJT against the rest.

henry

Rocco, there seems to be a different universe on the left... as if two multiverses are colliding.

MissMarple2

Captain Hate,

I watched Mike Pence speak last night and although he was a good governor and has been a loyal and hard-working VP, he will not be able to replace Trump in 2024.

This is our one shot to roll things back. After President Trump, we have no one with both the skill and the charisma to lead the GOP. I am disgusted with the people like Romney and am beginning to wonder if they have skeletons in their closets.

MissMarple2

Old Lirker,

MM @ 10:02

I don't think Romney has a skeleton in his closet. I think he simply views himself as part of the Elite, and he views the MSM and the Democrats as his peers, and us as his inferiors, who need him and his peers to tell us how to live our lives.

He and Ryan and most of the GOPe are all of a piece. They will reluctantly hold their noses to speak to us when they need our votes or our donations, and as soon as they have what they need from us, they go back to mocking us.

The Infamous Ignatz

Mitt Romney is the skeleton in his closet.
Or his dog crate.

MissMarple2

James D.,

Maybe you're right. It does seem amazing to me that Romney never said one critical word about Obama after he lost the election, and now he seems to be in perpetual scold mode regarding President Trump.

By the way, Tom Cotton should be looked at suspiciously as well. He's making a big deal over that prison reform bill and Arkansas has the highest rate of incarceration in the states AND Cotton is backing privatized prisons. Gee, wonder who donates to him.

Captain Hate

Romney is the bratty piece of shit son of George Romney, who actively campaigned against Reagan; so his treachery is bred in the bone and encouraged by the ruling class elites of the GOP.

James D.

That's the tell, MM.

he barely said a critical word about Obama DURING that election. He never pushed back when Harry Reid lied about him. He didn't even push back when the MSM mocked his wife's illness.

But that's because he sees Obama, and Harry Reid, and even the reporters who ridiculed his wife, as HIS PEOPLE.

We are not his people. We are deplorable racist sexist unwashed scum who he is unfortunate enough to have to share a country with.

The Infamous Ignatz

--All the common religious sects seem to have basic truths at their core, east or west, where did they come from?--

No. As Ravi Zacharias never tires of pointing out all religions are, despite constant universalist calls to the contrary, superficially similar but fundamentally different and incompatible.

There is only in the end one basic question and Pilate asked it "What is truth?"
He washed his hands of the answer.

I and my family have had some experience with the way the news is framed. I may have posted on this a few years ago. Sheriff Joe spoke at an event here for a candidate running for sheriff in our county. We decided to see what he had to say.

We got there and there were a dozen news vans and maybe 25 protesters. It was all kabuki. It usually is with the left. It's all about framing the shot.

When the klieg lights went on the protesters got rowdy and chanted out some inanities. As soon as they went off the protesters stopped. Street theater as practiced since the Yippies.

C.S. Lewis speaks of the Tao in The Abolition of Man, one of my favorites:

“The Tao, which others may call Natural Law or Traditional Morality or the First Principles of Practical Reason or the First Platitudes, is not one among a series of possible systems of value. It is the sole source of all value judgments. If it is rejected, all value is rejected. If any value is retained, it is retained. The effort to refute it and raise a new system of value in its place is self-contradictory. There has never been, and never will be, a radically new judgment of value in the history of the world. What purport to be new systems or…ideologies…all consist of fragments from the Tao itself, arbitrarily wrenched from their context in the whole and then swollen to madness in their isolation, yet still owing to the Tao and to it alone such validity as they posses.”

The whole green economy is built on the need to raise the price of conventional energy so high that green power sources can be competitive.

Even then, they are heavily subsidized and the true cost is never taken into account. It is much more efficient to build one NG or nuclear power or clean coal plant than and distribute that power to hundreds of thousands or even millions of homes the to micro manage a few KwH fro 20,00 or 100,000 homes and government buildings, as California is doing.

They even stuck the ratepayers with the bill for the San Onofre shutdown. San Diego Gas & Electric, I believe, has the highest rates of any utility in the country. San Onofre was shut down by Boxer and her minions after Mitsubishi screwed up on replacing the cooling system, a $600 million screwup. Larry Agran, the dark lord of Irvine, NRDF, Sierra Club and the usually suspects were very successful in doing this in 2012.

San O generated power for over 2,000,000 homes and businesses.

Trump's trade war is showing dividends already:

“A shipbuilder had been scheduled to build another Type 002 carrier, the country’s fourth, in recent days but it was postponed ... amid the ongoing trade war with the US,” he said. “Beijing doesn’t want to upset Washington further – the economy has already slowed since the two countries started their trade disputes.”

That and they can't make good enough jet engines for the planes. (No word on whether the Chinese electromagnetic launch is any better than the US one).
