Hey JOM music people. William Broad became a U.S. citizen yesterday. My in-laws were friends with his parents when they lived in the Tampa Bay area during the 1990s. My mother-in-law attended daily mass with his mother. Who is William Broad?

Brit Nile Gardner now on with non-hysterical Liz on FOX Business. Here's some of my transcript of his take on Brexit:
Liz: Nile, this isn't looking good. It looks like the UK is now stuck with the same "level of playing field" rules out of the EU, and no trade deal from the UK toward the US. Nile, this is not looking great. Trump seems to be right.
Nile: Yeah, I have to say you are right. This deal by Teresa May is an absolute disaster, and it is a hugely unpopular deal. An opinion Poll came out this morning which showed that less than 20% of the British public actually back it. Within the Conservative party, Teresa May's own Party, there is overwhelming opposition to this deal. We saw the resignation of 2 Cabinet Ministers today, the resignation of several Jr Ministers. We are already seeing Conservative MP's queing up now to condemn this deal as a surrender to the European Union. I think Teresa May has done an appallingly bad job in terms of the negotiations. She's given the EU practically everything they've asked for, and I have to say it fundamentally undermines British Sovereignty and the National Interest, including Britain's ability to negotiate Free Trade Agreements across the world, especially with the United States, and so I think all in all it's been a really bad day here. I do hope this deal will be defeated in the House of Commons when it goes for a vote on December 10th, and I think it is highly likely this Deal will be defeated. I think it is dead in the water.
Liz: So what's happening is, as it stands now, Britain cannot try to out compete the EU across the board. They have to adhere to EU Rules still indefinitely. This is no Brexit plan that Teresa May is offering. Is the momentum growing for a vote of "No Confidence" in Teresa May?
Nile: It certainly is, and all you need are 48 Conservative MP's to submit letters of "No Confidence" to ...Sir Graham Brady, and my understanding is that that figure is very nearly reached today, and I think it's very likely that you are going to see a Vote of No Confidence taking place within the Conservative party MP's, it could happen as soon as the beginning of next Week. I think Teresa May could be completely defeated here by this vote or she could be heavily wounded, in which case she has the option of either standing down or struggling to remain as Prime Minister, but it is very clear I think that the British People have lost confidence in their own Prime Minister. Her own Party has lost confidence in the leader of the Conservative party, and I do think the Conservative's need New Leadership in the UK, someone who actually fully believes in Brexit and is willing to stand up to the EU and get a deal that is in the British national Interest and Teresa May simply cannot do that.
Liz: This is a Deal that is actually good for the EU and not for the British people.
Nile: Yes!
Liz: That's what Conservatives are saying. You know what is interesting too, is that Northern Ireland now gets to abide by a different set of rules than the UK, and so that means that that is also shaking the very foundation of the United Kingdom.
Nile: Yeah, that is an extremely important point. This is a bad deal as well for Northern Ireland, which is why the Democratic Union is part of the DUP, who basically work in tandem with the Conservatives in order to keep the Conservatives in power at the moment. They're fundamentally opposed to this agreement because it is a very bad deal for Northern Ireland. Teresa May has handled these negotiations in an absolutely weak-kneed manner. It is the antithesis of how Margaret Thatcher would have handled these negotiations with the EU.
Liz: How would Margaret Thatcher have handled these negotiations?
Nile: Well Margaret Thatcher would have stood up to the EU. She would have got a deal that was in the British National Interest. She would not have sacrificed Britain's Sovereignty itself to another nation, and Margaret Thatcher...before her death...was a very strong supporter of the UK leaving the EU...

The President and the head of the Democrat Party, Nancy Pelosi, are arguing extensively over allowing immigrants into our country. Nancy of course wants free access to everyone who wants to come in, while Donald wants us to secure our borders and insure only the right people come in.
Instead of going to a costly, time-consuming nationwide vote on the matter, they agree to a 3-day ice fishing contest to settle the issue.
Whoever catches the most fish at the end of the 3 days will have his or her process implemented.
The two decide that a remote frozen lake in northern Wisconsin would be the ideal place. No observers on the fishing grounds, but both would need to have their catches verified and counted each night at 5 PM so they use a neutral park ranger station.
After Day 1, Trump returns to the station with a total of 10 fish, while Pelosi comes back with nothing.
Day 2 finishes and Trump catches another 20 fish, but Pelosi once again comes back with nothing.
That night, Pelosi and her liberal cronies get together and accuse Trump of being a “low-life, cheating piece of scum.” Instead of fishing on Day 3, they are going to follow Trump and to spy on him and figure out how he is cheating.
Day 3 finishes up and Trump has had an incredible day, adding 40 more to his total.
That night, Pelosi and her Democrat cohorts get together for the full report on how Donald was cheating.
Pelosi stands up to give her report and says, “You are not going to believe this. Trump is cheating because he's cutting holes in the ice.”
And this, my friends, tells you the difference between a businessman and a career government politician.
Well I know we American's are always supposed to be ashamed of President Trump and looking to the gifted Europeans to learn what to think and how to behave, so I wonder if anyone knows who has the lowest poll numbers today, Trump, Macron, Merkel, or May?
So my son got back from 16 days without showering from Ft Polk, which seemed appropriate to clean up what he said about working like Stormy Daniels for lunch money. I can see Avenatti looking for Hugh Grant on Sunset right now.
It was my great honor to host a @WhiteHouse Conference on Supporting Veterans & Military Families...

Trump should ask Pelosi to participate in an interview about immigration. Doesn't have to be a debate, just a friendly fireside chat about immigration. They could each choose a questioner who'd question them both.
It is our sacred duty to support America’s Service Members every single day they wear the uniform – and every day after when they return home as Veterans. From catch-up: Looks like Acosta's case is on the rocks
Speaking as a non-Lawyer, how come Jim Acosta's Complaint got an immediate review by a Federal Judge whereas Mark Steyn's defamation case with Climate Weasel Michael Mann is now entering it's 2nd Decade? Why is Steyn "punished by the process" yet Jim Acosta gets Carte Blanche' service? Why doesn't Acosta and CNN have to cool their jets for a decade?
Well, we got walloped pretty bad here in Amazonia (new name for Long Island City.) Took me over three hours to drive home. Same for Mrs. ---peter. Lots of tree limbs down. was so nervous while driving I didn't stop at the local liquor store to pick up the Beaujolais Nouveau.
Thanks Narciso for your 08:01 link. I do not know who is right or wrong but this last paragraph drew my attention:
Mr. Broidy resigned from his RNC role in April after it emerged that he paid $1.6 million in hush money to a former Playboy model following a sexual relationship. The arrangement was negotiated by Michael Cohen, Mr. Trump’s former personal lawyer.

So my son got back from 16 days without showering from Ft Polk, which seemed appropriate to clean up what he said about working like Stormy Daniels for lunch money. I can see Avenatti looking for Hugh Grant on Sunset right now.

Trump should ask Pelosi to participate in an interview about immigration. Doesn't have to be a debate, just a friendly fireside chat about immigration. They could each choose a questioner who'd question them both.

BREAKING: This is not a drill. Ohio is on the verge of banning abortion and other anti-abortion states will likely follow. We must all fight to #StoptheBans.

Hi, Garden Gnerd! Which one are you?
Posted by: daddy | November 15, 2018 at 07:32 PM
henry - we actually do have *two* anniversaries a year. The civil one was on the 14th. The church one will be on the 1st of December. If we forgot one, there was always the second. But who's counting?
I don't know how to take a photo from my computer and transfer it to Typepad.
Posted by: Frau Edith Steingehirn | November 15, 2018 at 07:34 PM
I don't believe the Gnerd was even a possibility for another 15 years or so after that pic was taken.
Posted by: Extraneus | November 15, 2018 at 07:35 PM
Frau, I remember you have two! On the pic...
Click on your name. This should take you to your typepad profile. (Yes you have one where ever you sign in from).
Click edit profile.
Under the box on the left, click edit (upload?) photo.
Then search your device, select a photo.
When it looks right, click the “save profile changes” button,

And here I thought we just learned from Bill Kristol that the greatest instance of political cowardice in American History was Trump's failure to order his helo to fly in inclement weather to the Somme Battlefield, regardless of weather or Security concerns.
Bill and Hillary Clinton tour canceled due to ‘poor sales’ — and (Juanita?) Broaddrick movie shadowing it?
Geez! I expected so much more from the gal that dodged sniper fire on the Bosnian Tarmac:(

Oh, gosh! Hope you feel better.
I find that 2 fingers of gin is wonderfully helpful.--
One of the major causes of pancreatitis is alcohol consumption so I'm not sure that would be the wisest choice.

BTW, took this icon pic about 10 seconds ago. The post Dog-Walk siesta.

This guy on for Levin says FL Agriculture Commisioner handles concealed carry. The Dem is anti-Second Ammendment. She's stealing it.
