Really too long for a Sunday but the NY Times Magazine takes us to coal country - in India. Lots of hand-wringing about the use of cheap, reliable coal as a power source in developing Asian countries; since it is the Times, there is no discussion of nuclear power as the baseload alternative.
I still want to see more done with thorium, oversold or not.

Historians note that during a two century period from approximately 2200 to 2000 B.C., a great famine occurred across the entire northern Mesopotamian area (from Asia Minor east to northern Iran), including the area of Aram and the district of Harran. Israeli Orientalist scholar, Dr. Afif Erzen in "Eastern Anatolia and Urartians" writes, "Archaeological excavations in the centres of both Transcaucasia and northwest Iran have shown that after 2nd millennium B.C., a severe draught forced people to retreat...The same situation also made itself strongly felt in the centres of settlement in Van Region." So, with a severe drought throughout the Harran-Van-Aram region in the Middle-Bronze II period (~2200-2000 B.C.), it is not surprising that Scripture relates that Abraham and his father, Terah, had been living instead in Ur of Chaldees. (Genesis 11:31)
Years of drought forced many to migrate to the southern Mesopotamian cities that were unaffected. Where might they choose to move in a drought? Why would they move such a long distance all the way to Ur in the very far reaches of southern Babylonia, not far from the Persian Gulf? Quite possibly this would have occurred for religious reasons since Ur was a major center of moon god worship with a large famous temple, the ruins of which are still visible today. Historical records do in fact indicate that in ancient times the two major centers of the pagan moon god were at Harran and Ur of Chaldees. The family of Abraham originally worshipped the moon god in their pagan state before Elohim revealed Himself to them.

For a brief time, the police department managed to label approximately 64,000 black males in Kansas City as suspects in the shooting. That’s exactly what occurred with this tweet: “We are still looking for one more subject of interest. The only description we have right now is a black male. So we ask everyone around the area to please be aware of their surroundings. And we continue to ask those who are not already @ThePlazaKC to avoid the area.”

If you are looking for reversal of neuropathic issues, Dr. Terry Wahl's The Wahl's Protocol documents how she reversed much of her debilitating MS with low inflammation nutrition that she is able to get her VA patients to follow with enormous benefits to diabetes, hypertension, reflux, depression, arthritis.
KK's program is amazing, but the ones above can have you eat at McDonalds and still be medication free.

"I've asked Jewish friends about this and they say Israel. I find that unlikely as they, according to the Bible, traveled to a land that they didn't know about."
got a good lesson on Judaic history from my doctor who is an ordained rabbi, torah/talmud scholar, hebrew speaking/writing BAD ASS!
he also practices the Essene traditions. MUCH of Judaic law and doctrine arose from Essene culture which originated in the Dead Sea region. they are self-attributing authors of the Dead Sea scrolls.
the Jewish diaspora into Egypt was a voluntary movement which entrapped them, cursed them into "the bondage of self", unable to remain true to then scant teachings. "their souls were like ghosts."
meanwhile the Essenes were "communing" and encoding the Natural Laws as bestowed upon them through study of the heavens and earth. they neither preached nor proselytized. as one of them, neither did Jesus. he demonstrated. his "gospel" was metaphorical, an elucidation of mystery using parables. very different from cafeteria style religious practice. but all of that was necessarily obscured in force by the Council of Nicea. (i digress!)
for the lack of a better term than the brain limiting one "religion", they began their quest to comprehend "the great Mystery" as the smoke and perma-fog from the volcanic upheaval began to lift. in a nutshell, that is the Essene culture's "creation story."
the origins of biological identifications of four-leggeds into two-leggeds was revealed to them but they didn't focus their look up on their feet and how they got them.
what propelled this creation forward--- to be able to live in barren wilderness where they found themselves at the time of the Great Awakening (lifting of their eyes to the heavens).
and on it goes from there.
they saw the sky for the first time because there was reason to look up. and wonder.
Jesus was the most gifted among the Essene in that new generation of upheaval. nothing more. he was a master of natural laws and could therefore heal and "perform miracles" (manipulate circumstances on the human "spiritual/material" plains).
the Essenes didn't "wander" like the lost Jews of Egypt. who did those Jews follow into "bondage?" i don't know. but it was probably famine induced.
the Jews may have wandered behind Moses. but the common understanding of the Essenes about those descendants? they wandered in search of something, possibly food during famine, INTO EGYPT.
some may scoff at the following: the Akashic Record has produced some interesting literature about the evolution of Judaica.
the mere mention of the Record will cause some faithful Jews to fly into a fit of indignation. i understand that.
but i'm not wired that way as a baptized at infancy Roman Catholic. anything i can learn and leverage to look at that paradigm from the inside out, even Judaism, helps me understand the stories that have been left untold "by the Great Religions of the World."
there is material to mine. there is material to feed my subconscious, in order to spawn the frailest of comprehension of life before their was imposed order on our understanding of the Great Law of cause and effect. (the Essenes mastered the Great Law.)
it's a puzzle box we can open if we study.
it has helped me settle much of my angst re Catholic dogmatics, Roman Catholic history, and the "Jews murdered Christ" nonsense.
you may find that journey an interesting one, jimnj, should it be that you've not yet ventured into the Akashic record.
i found it to be a critical asset in my investigations into things of great importance to me--- like the "land bridge" theory of how people "came" to North America.
it provides the crucial component of "imagination" ( thought outside the monkey box) by which to take a second look out of the conundrums set up by interpretive history and the petty (but lethal) political implications of "who was here first" kind of assertions.
always love reading your night shift propositions, jimnj. hope life is gifting you MADLY!

Still lousy weather here in Paris but got up early and did a very informative guided Walking Tour of the small Island Notre Dame sits on, which basically gives you the entire History of Paris from pre-Roman times to the present:
Ile de la Cité and Notre Dame 10.30am Read the stories in the medieval sculptures, and hear how this
superb gothic cathedral was built. We explore the history and architecture of the Island, view the medieval kings’ palace, the famous Conciergerie prison of the Revolution, the old streets, the flower market, quiet gardens, secret courtyards and the poignant memorial to the deported. Meet at metro Cité
So did that, and then plopped down at my Cafe as usual across the street from the Cathedral and was surprised to just see the street blocked off by police and then about 200 French Cavalry in very polished Military dress uniforms with swords and helmets just rode by in some sort of Military Procession. My guess is that some figure of consequence must have passed away and this is preliminary escorting of his casket but I never noticed any casket come by, so it beats me.
The Tour Guide Brad is one of my favorites and a good buddy to chat with. He was supposed to do the Tour on Saturday titled "Jefferson and Franklin's Paris," which starts at the Place De la Concorde near the US Embassy, but he said the protesters and the police were out in such force at that location that it was impossible to do the tour, so he hung around an hour at the meeting spot to make sure nobody waited all day in vain, then headed home. He said it was unlike the usual Paris protests which are sort of organized and march from A to B and give speeches etc. This he said was like a constantly shifting organism that just fluxed along leaderless and unguided. He says he has no idea what'll happen next, if anything. So overcast and dreary, 43F, but the view is great.

Fung's thesis is credible to a large degree. Where he is missing the boat is "vinegar".
even in a small daily amount, say a teaspoon, will affect metabolic acidity. that is an inflammation builder.
also, inflammation will choke off natural insulin production. concurrently pills and insulin injections DUMP so much insulin into the system that cells natural regulatory mechs are bowled over until the insulin can be absorbed by resistant cells. thus, more and more pill doses and larger injections are required over time.
Jung lists eating less sugar as a factor influencing weight loss. what most of the suffering fail to comprehend is that "sugar" (glucose) producing foods (even the sacred "kale chips" or a handful of cashews) should be all but eliminated from the nutritional routine.
eating at MacDonalds might be a catchy pitch point--- but anything one orders had better not have a bun.
the overbalance of glucose in the bloodstream, which goes unburned by resistant cells (insulin is the transport barge that carries glucose into the cells for energy) ends up with the liver storing the glucose-to-fat by product, while triglyceride levels of fatty blood press for increased storage of fat in burgeoning deposits of fatty tissue (belly fat issues?).
too many transport barges trying to enter the cell walls to present glucose supplies for energy and cell functions, triggers the resistance alarm (overload!) and the glucose conversion to fat for storage, along with all the rest of the fats and proteins which wont be processed until the glucose is dealt with.
thus, diabetic weight loss through radical fasting, starving the bloodstream of excessive glucose, and "wringing out the liver" so it's stored glucose supply can be processed to newly accomodating blood cells. simultaneously inflammation is reduced as system alkalinity rises to a healthy range (a few ticks above the acid-alkali boundary line).
this is why any regimen like use of vinegar will be counterproductive re inflammation healing. fresh lemon in a pint of water each morning will support balanced alkalinity and function in the gut better than vine-gar (the viking pronunciation HA! :D )
i appreciate Fung's work simply because he's making the effort to explain how metabolism is SUPPOSED to work and how poor teachers and low-information eaters (most of us) muck this perfect system by our "cravings" etc etc.
thanks for the links, a-mom. glad yer on the case.
me? study. study. study. there are now two generations in our family tree limbs, being ravaged at even earlier ages into metformin, who are two time losers when it comes to type 2: mexxykins and navajos.

The border bandito photo is definitely incomplete but the redditeers are going a little too apeshit about the staged angle.
The barbed wire fence is the actual US boundry. It is an east west fence that normally isn't there. This whole event is taking place in the TJ river channel as it crosses the border. BP leaves the area unfenced because the river of refuse will clog if chain link started catching and piling up the old tires and endless stream of diapers.
They left the lowest portion unfenced for that reason. To the left of the image of the fleeing mamacita is that opening. The only border protection is human at that location. It is most likely teargas in the image.
IMO it is possible that the cameramen encouraged a run at the opening. But more likely they chose the right spot to see action. If you want to see a volcano you don't set the camera up in Nebraska.

Barbara Streisand is fighting to stay relevant.
While at Paw's a coupla weeks ago had to endure an NPR interview with her about how "her music" reflects these "troubled times."
A snippet of one of her overdubbed recordings repeated the same screeching line over and over: "Dont lie to me! Dont lie to me!"
How many schnozz jobs has she had again?

The search for evidence of scripture among the papyrus of 5he day is a little odd, except for one particular peeved pharaoh I don't think it would have been a great concern from the period.

Women vote. Get over it.
And while we're on the subject, BraBra, most do what you wish you could do (without all the pharma you've been living on for 50 years): think for themselves.
Amazing the mind pretzels celebrities and other Hillary Dupes come up with to explain the Big Lie that Hildo was a lock for the coronation.
Lies breed lies and spurious correlations.

The search for evidence of scripture among the papyrus of 5he day is a little odd,
i still think we'll have much more luck for evidence of Scripture by scouring the cuniform baked bricks in the libraries of Ninevah and the prior capitals of Assyrian/Akadian/Babylonian/Sumerian civilizations. I recall reading that the exiled Jews had their sons schooled in writing in Babylon, which would have probably been in a cuniform script. I recall the many parallels in various Gilgamesh epics (ie The Flood) being much more relateable to Old Testament stories than anything I can recall from the Egyptian Book of the Dead or any of the rest of their writings I'm familiar with. My impression is that there are also many many thousands of cuniform texts still waiting to be translated, many more so than the papyrus shreds we have yet to examine, due to baked clay tablets surviving the milleniums much better than papyrus. Also cuniform I am told is a much more difficult text to decipher, as well as it not having been deciphered until a hundred years after Champollion's great achievement.

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2018/11/the_escalating_assault_on_citizen_journalism.html
"An all too typical headline this week from ABC News -- “Conspiracy theorist becomes key figure as Mueller builds case” -- delegitimizes Corsi even before the article begins.
Corsi is not a journalist; he is a “conspiracy theorist.” The media are not opposed to conspiracy theorizing in general -- Michael Moore did win an Oscar -- but rather to theorizing that has the potential to harm the progressive establishment."...
"Corsi’s case is instructive. The first major “conspiracy” he helped bring to life was the media conspiracy to suppress John Kerry’s dubious war record. What prompted Corsi’s partner, John O’Neill, to launch the Swift Boat project was the Kerry campaign’s use of the “band of brothers” theme to position Kerry was a war hero.
An attorney and swift boat veteran, O’Neill ran down the 19 officers featured in a photo with Kerry from his Vietnam days. Almost to a man, they challenged Kerry’s war record. Only two of the 19 supported Kerry for president."...

Isn't it odd that MUELLER seems to be finding criminals who have nothing to do with RUSSIAN COLLUSION, but not finding criminals that DO HAVE SOMETHING to do with RUSSIA??
It's almost as if he has NOTHING.

"Corsi and Loomer are two victims out of many. As I argued in an earlier piece on American Thinker, “First They Came for Alex Jones,” the progressive establishment is picking off those citizen journalists with the least institutional support. The left applauds the silencing and the respectable right pretends not to notice.
Perhaps when the left’s street-level agitators assault the homes of the George Wills and Peggy Noonans of this world, our right-leaning betters will understand how thin is the line between “conservative journalist” and “far-right activist.”"

I have no problem with that. He wouldn't need to do it if he weren't being bled dry as part of an illegitimate, illegal witch hunt that should have been killed before it began.

Corsi's the cousin of a friend of mine. I'm no special pleader of his because he can sound nutty at times but I'd be cautious about buying the MFM spin about him. Those jizzmops would sell him, and us, out whenever they consider it useful.
Btw with this weather being so nutty, I probably won't be coming to Indianapolis on Wednesday. I'm sure there will be future opportunities.
