Jim nj. Obama and his sycophantic ideologues have always been LAZY CRIMINALS. Allowing unfettered border jumping merely requires NOT STOPPING IT, and further REQUIRING those who MIGHT STOP it to be TOLD to STAND DOWN. Holder and Obama's ridiculous lazy and clownish FAST and FURIOUS, required federal agencies to PROMOTE and ALLOW hard weaponry, that OBAMA and HOLDER wanted banned, to be put into the hands of MEXICAN GANGS, who in turn would create death and havoc. Then OBAMA and chinless HOLDER could blame the gun culture and the guns......it backfired.
Lazy pricks like Obama and Holder are not BIG IDEA men.

SBW, saw your post on the battle of Saratoga. You are correct, Burgoyne was doomed from the outset.
From what I remember the British generals, other than Burgoyne, didn't really by into the idea of a pincer movement of three of their armies.
And it wasn't just one battle. Two at Saratoga, but a prior one at Bennington that really pissed off all of New England.
Burgoyne had much misfortune on his trip south, losing his Indian allies after Bennington, logistics problems, but the ultimate reason he lost in the end was because militias from all over New England converged on Saratoga looking for revenge.
The British were outnumbered. Our militias were used to fighting woodsman style. If I remember correctly Gen. Washington dispatched some Colonial Troops to back up those already there and the swelling militias arriving daily.
Perhaps the best thing Washington did was including a 500 man contingent of riflemen under a Capt. Morgan (I think). The riflemen stood beyond musket range and made officers their targets. Take out the leadership and the highly regimented British Army was bereft of command.
The one thing that made the Brits so effective was taken away from them - leadership.
Isn't that a kick. Termites have the largest "city" in the world.
Gus,
I don't think that official Mexico is happy about this and is working with the US as much as possible. Mexico being used as a corridor so publicly is against their interests.
Mexico's interest is in having its' own people using the border as an escape valve. The Central Americans are going to make it harder for Mexicans to cross the border.

WEST ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - St. Louis County Police have confirmed that a 53-year-old woman shot at a Catholic Supply store has died. Police say around 3:20 pm Monday multiple sexual assaults and a shooting happened at the Catholic Supply store in a shopping center near the intersection of Manchester Road and Weidman Road in west St. Louis County.
But Oliver argued that Trump’s “weirdest unforced error this week” came during a Medal of Freedom ceremony honoring the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia (as well as the wife of one of Trump’s biggest donors). After naming Scalia’s nine children, Trump addressed Scalia’s widow, Maureen, who was in attendance. “You were very busy!” the president told her. “Wow. Wow. I always knew I liked him.”
“What are you doing, you strange, strange man!” Oliver exclaimed. “You’re essentially saying, ‘I like your dead husband because I like people who fuck a lot because I fuck a lot. Guess what? I just took a speech about your dead husband and made it about me fucking a lot. Sorry for your loss, come get your medal.’”
This is actually an interesting commentary about the mentality of the west. This hyperfocus on sexuality post sexual revolution and the way John speaks about it without any kind of reflection on the implications of his statement. As if it's so obvious that this is the way things are.
The arguably dangerous mentality that is so common in our media, here suggests in a completely backwards extrapolation of significance, that sexual intercourse is the end goal and children are merely a byproduct thereof. Children, in John's mind, are simply irrefutable evidence that sex occurred.
It's quite obvious, or at least it should be to anyone with a healthy view of sex and procreation, that Trump is referring to the building of a large family, which certainly is something to celebrate and be proud of, rather than the relatively insignificant mechanical process that makes babies possible.
Try it, you might enjoy it. The basic concept is like menstrual cycles. You plug in your birth date and it shows you where you are in the various cycles.
I have absolutely no idea if it's real, but I did have a bad car crash on a triple critical day. What's that? The chart shows syne waves of your various cycles, you may be a on a high for one, or more cycles, or vice versa, but a triple critical day is when all the cycles converge and meet at the midpoint.
Pass it on to the day crew. Let's see what they think of it.

So if you want to grade me as to the usefulness of this concept, I'm sorry to say that I'm at -91 on the intellectual scale and -4o on Spiritual. Otoh, I'm at 100 % on intuitive and 92% on Awareness. Don't mind the Aesthetic cycle at -81, I need a shower.
What many do not know, is that California Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed a bipartisan wildfire management bill in 2016, despite unanimous passage by the Legislature, 75-0 in the Assembly and 39-0 in the Senate. SB 1463 would have given local governments more say in fire-prevention efforts through the Public Utilities Commission proceeding making maps of fire hazard areas around utility lines. In a gross display of politics, this is especially pertinent given that Cal Fire and the state’s media are now blaming the largest utility in the state for the latest wildfires.
The Dead Kennedys were right in 1979 when they said that the encephalitic Governor Jerry Brown was a bad person and dedicated an entire song to his horribleness https://youtu.be/GoA_zY6tqQw
Rabid animals are, of course, no laughing matter. The rabies virus can infect the central nervous system, resulting in disease and death, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But that happens after a host of increasingly scary symptoms: partial paralysis, agitation, hallucinations, hydrophobia. A British man and two children died in Morocco after they were bitten by a rabid cat.
So it was not surprising that when people in the city of Milton, W.Va., saw raccoons behaving weirdly, they involved the local police.
Officers staked out the area where the suspect animals were hanging out, looking for any signs of the masked perpetrators.
But when they caught two of them, they realized they were dealing with a different kind of issue.
The raccoons weren’t rabid. They were drunk.
The raccoons, apparently, had been feasting on crab apples that had fermented on the tree, causing the small animals to walk around “staggering and disoriented,” police said.
“Turns out they appear to be drunk on crab apples,” police said in their official statement to the community.
I posted the drunk Raccoons three days ago, glad you're finally catching up :)
Hit Points? I don't follow? If you mean the biorhythm thing, the worst numbers are 0, where you're on the transition line. Triple critical, meaning a very bad day, is when the the 3 major cycles are all at zero.
Judge rules Federal anti genital mutilation law unconstitutional.
Actually, I agree with him.
Ig, I get why you’re saying that, but you are wrong.
Ritual genital mutiliation of little girls to enforce Sharia law is not the place to make a stand on federalism and reversal of decades of fed gov overreach, or restoration of constitutional norms.
Why don’t we start with any of the hundreds of thousands of real, damaging abuses of federal power that harm actual innocent and decent Americans, hamper the economy, or impede our national security, instead of drawing the line to defend 12th century rock worshipping butchers?
Because think that decision will be taken as a precedent to roll back any other fed outrage, I’ve got some bridges to sell you.
To follow up, Ig, I get the idea that we must obey the law, even when it is harmful to us or benefits horrible people.
But the country we're living in now, the principle appears to be, we must obey the law ONLY when it is harmful to us or benefits horrible people, and THAT is not the Rule of Law. That is a recipe for defeat and tyranny at the hands of our enemies.
Transgender groups must be interested in the FGM case.
It is pretty sickening to look at the mountains of laws & regulations the people of this country are choking on...& then see that cutting up little girls genitals can't be outlawed. THAT can't be done. ??????

The laws already are on the books in over half the states. And it's easy enough to write "female" into the law to make sure it can't be used to restrict traditional and harmless Jewish rites.
The point is more that apparently we're supposed to sit by and accept an endless parade of absurd overreaches by the Feds on every topic imaginable, but somehow THIS one little law is beyond the pale, and that is simply crap.

People who claim forest management means clearcutting or largescale logging are either lying or just don’t know what they’re talking about. Management = scientifically determining unhealthy tress to remove, prescribed burns, reseeding diverse species, salvaging burnt logs, etc.
This is being coordinated across national borders by very wealthy people in a way we haven’t seen before.
Clinton campaign strategists working for Tony Blair and sharing their "third way" messaging ring a bell, Rachel?
Oh, sorry, that was in another century, like, a hundred years ago or something, right?
As KK says, IHTFP (or is it, IFHTP? Maybe IFHTFP is more fitting).
So here's something for everyone to be thankful tomorrow: I don't have access to nuclear weapons. Because I am ready to burn the whole world to the ground just to make these progs (and their GOPe allies) shut the hell up.
JamesD,
I agree with the court’s decision and I understand you’re outrage. Would it have been better to leave that federal overreach on the mountain of abuses or is it better to get this one correct and hopefully start correcting other abuses? Everything can’t be undone at once. The process has to start somewhere.
I didn't mean to get you angry. I posted that Maddow quote and link so people would know what's up.
As far as I am concerned, iti's the Pro-EU people within May's government who are looking for any excuse to avoid Brexit; now it will be "foreign influence."
Gentljim, do you honestly and truly believe that decision will be taken as a precedent to reverse one single other Federal overreach? How much would you be willing to bet on that?
From where I sit it would have been infinitely better to leave that particular overreach on the mountain of abuses, and start the undoing with something that actually harms decent Americans.
I don't really give a shit about protecting the rights of Islamist butchers who mutilate little girls. Sorry.
Don't worry, MM. I'm just in a mood today (it doesn't help that I just had to spend ten minutes convincing my Mom not to skip dialysis today).
I'm just SO SO SO SO SO effing sick of the progs. And I'm sick of how much they make me hate them and occupy myself with anger over all the things they want to destroy in my country and the things they want to take away from me.
James,
My opinion on the decision has nothing to do with the activities the federal law prohibited. You’re putting words in my mouth and no, I wouldn’t bet on the feds correcting anything. I’m surprised this single judge got this one right.
The comments of Maddow do one thing: They guarantee that Maddow has become aware of the real multinational effort by the progs to globalize prog-ism. So she cooks up a fake story accusing Trumpism of the same.
On the dog ride today, I had the Money Honey on the radio, and she played a clip of Obama talking (we assume) about Trump being a "racist with mommy issues". I almost ran off the road laughing so hard.
The last person in the world that should be talking about someone else's "mommy issues", is Barack Hussein Obama. The guy has no self awareness whatsoever.
If you are into the science of politics, and elections then this is a very interesting read. More democratic Congresscritters from California than 36 other states combined. Additionally, the Dems control the coasts, while basically giving up flyover country and the south.
That Weakly Substandard tripe by Charlie Sykes doesn't even deserve to be fact checked. Who am I gonna trust: a bunch of pampered sellouts or Mark Levin?
I hope Romney and Kasich team up behind that so I can make up for having been forced by the sellout GOP to voting for those turds in the past. I'm still pissed off about that.
James "But the country we're living in now, the principle appears to be, we must obey the law ONLY when it is harmful to us or benefits horrible people, and THAT is not the Rule of Law."
And that right there is the whirlwind we are reaping having allowed Lois Lerner to use the IRS against her boss's political opponents.
Jame's statement is exactly where we are and there is no evidence that anyone intends to change it.
Marc Thiessen has an article up in the Washington Post which says Trump has failed to expland his base and needs to get suburban women back on board.
I can't read the article because it's behind the paywall. However, I know that the fashion magazines like Vogue are all anti-Trump, all of the TV talk shows are, and there is pressure in mainline churches to go left, all of which influence suburban women.
In addition, we have our merry band of Never Trumpers throwing brickbats and sabotaging him whenever they can, starting with people who purport to be Republicans but make their money writing for the Washington Post.
It's put me in a James D. mood, that is all I will say.
MM, thanks for posting fairly exactly how you and I remain friends in spite of how you insist the glass is always half full! The funny thing is, you know I will be delighted to furnish the Beefeaters if the day arrives when you can tell me "neener neener".
And that right there is the whirlwind we are reaping having allowed Lois Lerner to use the IRS against her boss's political opponents.
The gutlessness of the GOPe was never more on display when they had a chance to appeal to the entire nation, across party lines, by gelding the IRS about whom they had the goods on their Stasi like tactics. Instead they joined with the Uniparty-D to keep the instrument of tyranny in place; figuring that we regular citizens deserved to be ruled by our betters. Most of those craven sellouts, particularly big mouthed Gowdy, will soon be history.
Narc, "barged" implies a randomness that belies the political and economic motivations of Mexico and the US both in the 1800-1850 half century. Some of those motivations were precursors to our own Civil War.
Bad thing about lots of travel is the disconnect with the news.
(Hmmm, maybe it is a good thing:))
It IS a good thing. The one nice thing about being in the hospital for three days last week with not enough energy to flip the channels on the TV, let alone read anything, was not being constantly reminded of how much contempt and hatred half of our fellow citizens, most of our-called leaders, and all of our supposedly honest media have for me and people like me.
You know, I am mulling the fashion magazine treachery here, because this is one thing that is easy for non-newsy types to understand.
Michelle Obama was billed as a fashion icon on the pages of Vogue and Glamor. Almost every issue had a spread about her "fashion forward" (aka UGLY) clothing. She appeared in cutoffs and tennis shoes getting off Air Force One. She embarrassed the nation with her clothing on her trip to the UK. None of these mags said a damn thing. There is no arguing this.
Now, when we have a bona fide fashion model as a First Lady, who wears couture, is stunningly beautiful, and always appears perfect, she is totally ignored, while the magazines run smear articles on her husband.
This is propaganda, and it is easy to see. Suburban women read this stuff and then discuss it at the beauty shop. When at home they turn on MSNBC and hear Maddow and Joe the Murderer.
What I sincerely hope for is evidence that the these outlets and the newspapers as well are in the pay of America's enemies, such as China and Iran. It absolutely would not surprise me.
"However, that’s exactly who I’m thankful for this year — a president who has done what few “politicians” do, he’s sought to keep every promise he’s made to the people who voted for him."

I tried to post my biorhythm chart, but it won't show my chart.
But here's the numbers,
Emotional: 90%
Physical: 82%
Intellectual: -91%
Average: 22
Spiritual: -40%
Awareness: 92%
Intuitive: 100%
Aesthetic: -81%
So if you want to grade me as to the usefulness of this concept, I'm sorry to say that I'm at -91 on the intellectual scale and -4o on Spiritual. Otoh, I'm at 100 % on intuitive and 92% on Awareness. Don't mind the Aesthetic cycle at -81, I need a shower.

https://canadafreepress.com/article/ca-gov.-jerry-brown-vetoed-2016-wildfire-management-bill-while-ca-burned
The Dead Kennedys were right in 1979 when they said that the encephalitic Governor Jerry Brown was a bad person and dedicated an entire song to his horribleness

Sleep Well, henry
https://www.washingtonpost.com/science/2018/11/14/raccoons-drunk-crab-apples-cause-false-rabies-scare-west-virginia

Pin,
Norovirus, not good, if they are in a shelter they're already miserable.
Yes, they used to have biorhythm machines, just like the weight and horoscope machines.
I downloaded a calculator onto Windows 95 and used to play with it and then lost interest.
Should we be wary on certain days based on horoscopes or biorhythms, I don't have a clue, but many of us act on superstition anyway.
I just thought the day crew might be mildly interested in the idea.
Besides, tongue in cheek, I'm looking for an idea so I can become an Instagram guru and rake in the big bucks.

Posted by: James D. | November 21, 2018 at 05:43 AM

Protect bird eggs, salamanders, owls, Arctic ice, minnows, trees,......
can't build a road on the tundra...
Not little girls though. THAT can't be done.
Posted by: Account Deleted | November 21, 2018 at 06:46 AM
The feds CAN NOT outlaw cutting up little girls genitals but the feds CAN force us to pay for cutting up babies in the womb.
Mutilating genitals is a state issue
Scalping, beheading, chopping off arms & legs is a federal issue.

Oh, sorry, that was in another century, like, a hundred years ago or something, right?
As KK says, IHTFP (or is it, IFHTP? Maybe IFHTFP is more fitting).

JamesD,
I agree with the court’s decision and I understand you’re outrage. Would it have been better to leave that federal overreach on the mountain of abuses or is it better to get this one correct and hopefully start correcting other abuses? Everything can’t be undone at once. The process has to start somewhere.
Posted by: Gentlejim | November 21, 2018 at 08:24 AM

They won't ever shut up.
I didn't mean to get you angry. I posted that Maddow quote and link so people would know what's up.

Posted by: MissMarple2 | November 21, 2018 at 08:25 AM
Gentljim, do you honestly and truly believe that decision will be taken as a precedent to reverse one single other Federal overreach? How much would you be willing to bet on that?
From where I sit it would have been infinitely better to leave that particular overreach on the mountain of abuses, and start the undoing with something that actually harms decent Americans.
I don't really give a shit about protecting the rights of Islamist butchers who mutilate little girls. Sorry.

My opinion on the decision has nothing to do with the activities the federal law prohibited. You’re putting words in my mouth and no, I wouldn’t bet on the feds correcting anything. I’m surprised this single judge got this one right.
Off to bed. You all behave.

This is what Romney and Katshit would support.

Narc "Settlers barged into Texas,"
Narc, "barged" implies a randomness that belies the political and economic motivations of Mexico and the US both in the 1800-1850 half century. Some of those motivations were precursors to our own Civil War.
