I don't know the latest but I bet it's YUUGE.
OH, SHIT: 12 dead in CA bar shooting?
We deplore this toxic masculinity and the failure of these "men" to respect women as empowered equals:
"There were at least 50 people that all tried getting up at once and running out the back door. I ended up getting caught in the ground and stumbled over by multiple people," Whittler said. "I got hit in the head by a stool that was being picked up to throw through a window, until some guy came up behind me and grabbed me and said, 'Get up. We have to go.'"
She said multiple men around her blocked the group with their bodies "ready to take a bullet for every single one of us."
OK, we don't deplore this. Most guys would do the right thing, which is why this is funny.
MORE CRAZY: Antifa at Tucker Carlosn's home. Even some libs object, so there's that.
OK, avoiding headlines in the morning looks like a winning strategy.
IT WILL ONLY HURT WHEN SHE LAUGHS: The Notorious RBG falls and fractures three ribs. She walked this off in 2012 but she is now 85. Obviously, pneumonia is a major concern. Not a doctor, but it must be a positive sign that she spent the night at home and finally threw in the towel in the morning. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
The Supreme Court says 85-year-old Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fractured three ribs in a fall in her office at the court and is in the hospital.
The court says the justice went to George Washington University Hospital in Washington early Thursday after experiencing discomfort overnight. The court says the fall occurred Wednesday evening.
Ginsburg was admitted to the hospital for treatment and observation after tests showed she fractured three ribs.
Ginsburg broke two ribs in a fall in 2012. She has had two prior bouts with cancer and had a stent implanted to open a blocked artery in 2014.

On the Abrams refusal to concede, I thought all along she was creating a suppression narrative as a means to drive black turnout going forward. If you listen to her rhetoric, she does believe that the political process can be used to restructure society.
It's a reminder that Tuesday the National Academy of Sciences released a report on Citizen Science: Enhancing Opportunities by Design" that essentially operationalized using learning to create new mindsets in citizens and then to have them work together to "solve problems".
I really hate when I write something and then within the next day or two there is a release of a report or paper showing exactly how the Bipartisan political class intends to manipulate the voters.

I still like and respect Sessions. He is a good man even if ultimately he wasn't the man for the job. He did some good work. Had he not recused, he would have been besieged from the beginning and probably wouldn't have gotten anything done.
I think the departure was mutually decided but both parties agreed it was better to let PDJT fire him.
There is no date on the letter, which indicates to me that it was likely submitted weeks or even months ago.
Sessions would have been a great AG in easier, more properly ordered times. Peacetime if you will. But he's not fully equipped for what is essentially wartime.
I will repeat that Sessions was Trump's earliest and for a long time almost Trump's only serious supporter in Congress. I doubt Trump would be president today without that support.
I see no evidence to revise my long-held opinions of Sessions the man simply to fit the current narrative. He wanted to support his department and there's nothing wrong with that, generally speaking. Unfortunately this department is filled with enemies. It's not going to be easy for anyone to clean those stables.
Now, it's for a new chapter.

Sessions work product in "deregulation" was absolute crap. He may be a nice guy, but he seems mediocre at his chosen profession -- no doubt why he spent his life working for the government.
That is based on viewing his work (and dealing with the predictable consequences of his stupidity o9n a daily basis), not on current narrative.

From rse's link:
many Republicans had come to think of the House as increasingly useless.
This is the Paul Ryan legacy and what happens when you have an extremely weak Speaker of the House ideologically opposed to what put him in a position of power.

Old Lurker,
I still can't get over all of that stuff in Gregg Jarrett's article which I posted at 5:38 and will re-post here for reference:
https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/gregg-jarrett-trump-did-the-right-thing-by-telling-jeff-sessions-youre-fired
I wish I had seen this months ago. I wouldln't have entertained much of the "stealth Jeff" theories had I seen it laid out like that.
A few months ago I realized I just couldn't follow all of the legal stuff and names in the Mueller/Rosenstein/FBI mess and chose to just observe. I didn't want to become obsessive and I realized I just didn't have enough information.
Sessions hadn't worked for the DOJ for many years. Perhaps he didn't realize how politicized it had become. Maybe he just was too timid and unable to deal with all of the problems. Who knows?
At any rate, President Trump made the right decision, as far as I am concerned.

From the Greenfield article:
Republicans have slowly learned what the Left knew all along. If you don’t fight, you can’t win. If you only fight when the odds are absolutely in your favor, you’ll lose most of the time. And if you only fight when the odds are in your favor, but not when they are against you, your ranks will be filled with faithless establishment mercenaries who will desert you at a moment’s notice once you lose.
I would really like the Republicans to learn this faster.

Regarding the 4D people:
I follow some of the Q people but rarely bring any of their stuff here because, as I said earlier, I cannot keep up with all of the signs, codes, etc. and I am never sure whether stuff is true or not.
However, what IS true is that there are people who get into those discussions who bring up off-the-wall theoriess to make serious poeple waste their time chasing possibilities and refuting those nitty theories.
I am more than willing to admit I could be wrong, but I think that had President Trump wanted to name Rosenstein, he would have gone ahead and done so, since the guy has already been through confirmation.
This seems to me to be one of those nutty theories thrown into the mix to get a lot of people wasting their time.

....Great bravery shown by police. California Highway Patrol was on scene within 3 minutes, with first officer to enter shot numerous times. That Sheriff’s Sergeant died in the hospital. God bless all of the victims and families of the victims. Thank you to Law Enforcement.

Another Bob,
In support of your position, are many of the points in Gregg Jarretts article, but the one that struck me was this: He recused himself on the very first day.
Now, I remember when that was announced and he said he had done so after consultation with DOJ ethics officials (a suspect group if you ask me, anyway, given what we have learned). That means he had to have done so during the transition or he wouldn't have recused himself on the first day. AND he didn't inform the President, either.
Why not? Because President Trump would have appointed someone else who wouldn't need to recuse.
I also am mindful that he turned down Homeland Security secretary, and insisted on DOJ.
So there is that niggling suspicion in my mind that he simply wanted to run his own program.

The reason I have been so tough on Trump on the DoJ front is that as the CEO, he should have fired the guy on day one on two grounds: accepting only "part" of the job while getting paid for the whole thing; and failing to discuss such a major, certain to be problematic, unilateral action with his boss ahead of time.
Shame on Sessions, sure. But more shame on Trump.

If, for the next two years, Democrats simply obstruct and investigate, Trump might be forced to rely on his pen and his phone to get things done, and most of the things he chooses to get done might best be accomplished by the DOJ.

Acosta must have watched hours of Rather, and Donaldson shouting questions to Nixon and Reagan. When you consider the 95% negative, constant reporting of the Trump administration by CNN/MSNBC, there is no doubt they are the "enemy of the people" by not being fair, balanced, and neutral.
