Fixed what for who, MR?

If it is for me, then you completely destroyed the context of what I was saying with your fix.

Fox chyron says prosecutor tells judge, "Remains a possibility that Flynn is continuing to cooperate at this point".

Well, who would know if it's true or not? Not the prosecutor? How about Flynn? Cryptic nonsense, but I'm not about to turn up the sound to see what they're talking about.

D

I find when people agree with an opinion stated that it provides reinforcement in one’s views.
Very helpful to me.

I don't believe I've attacked Tom R personally. I respect his service to the country, and have no reason to think he's anything but a fine family man and decent human being. I've attacked his arguments, primarily as being without any evidence or falsifiability. I've called him out when he has appeared to just ignore a point rather than address it, or answer a question with a question.

And on the matter at hand, if, as seems to be the case, Flynn's plea is accepted and there are no consequences to the perpetrators of this injustice, I think we can safely put the 4D theories to rest.

MissMarple2

I want to point out that the Turkish guy denies he was ever working for the Turkish government or on behalf of them.

His attorney says he is adamant about that and will not change his position.

Narciso79

Yes it's a joke, Manafort didn't have the power, papadopoulos barely knew where the White House commissary was.

Why is the Judge bringing up other charges other than ruling on the plea deal and proceeding with the sentencing?

Who knows?

We never will, because the people whose salaries we pay are never, ever going to tell us.

Talk about a major misstep by Judge Sullivan! After basically insinuating @GenFlynn may have committed TREASON - which the Fake News Media JUMPED on (including @FoxNews on Outnumbered), he comes back and says mea culpa! WTF?!

Jane

Gawd I leave for 2 hours and the world changes.

Went to a 10:40 Dr's appointment and left at noon when there was still one person in front of me. I should send her a bill. Did meet with an assistant who told me it's not unusual for anesthesia to screw with your mind for weeks - which is a good thing, because I no longer think straight, remember nothing and feel like I'm in an alternate universe since my surgery.

Do it. Because if you tell them they schedule too many appointments per day, or that they don't allocate a reasonable time for appointments, they'll look at you like you have two heads. So if you can't get even by causing a scene in the waiting room (I have...a, uh, friend who may do that occasionally), then by all means bill them.

Porchlight

I can't believe it. Now the MSM and the left will happily say "even the judge suggested Flynn is guilty of treason" and it will never, ever be corrected in the public record.

Sullivan needs to issue an official statement of apology.

Totally off topic, but you can imagine how excited I am to have this federal commission decide that creating growth mindsets in students, more positive psychology practices, social and emotional learning emphasis integrated into academics, a positive school climate, and fostering connectedness are the key to preventing school shootings.

Let's use all those Russian psychological processes in other words and then wonder why certain students view school as a place of psychological manipulation they explode against.

Good Morning!

Judge Emmet Sullivan, a veteran of the bench who received his judicial appointments from Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, admonished Flynn at a hearing on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., for lying to the FBI, which he said was made worse because of where it occurred.

"In the White House! In the West Wing. By a high ranking security officer who up to that point had an unblemished career of service to his country,” the judge said. “It's a very serious offense. ... Arguably, this undermines everything this flag over here stands for! Arguably, you sold your country out!"

Judge Sullivan never fails to disappoint.

Why do you think there is a disconnect for you on this?

Another Bob

I cannot wait for Tom’s next pronouncement.

Old Lurker

Why would anyone ever have any expectations from a Judge like Sullivan who, having had months and months to prepare for this day, knowing that all the political lenses in the country would be focused on him, and having probably spent an hour getting the knot to his tie which would show above his robe just so, would come out and suggest from his throne that Flynn was perhaps an agent for a foreign government from inside the WH and perhaps a traitor?

But there I go, being overly pessimistic again.

...a judge who doesn't even know the basic facts of one of the most important cases ever before him.

Unbelievable, but par for the course for Emmet. I expected the delay. I had zero faith he would do the right thing and he's justified that faith. I recall that Senator Ted Stevens tried to get his Trial moved from DC to Alaska but Judge Sullivan overruled him. Ted had lots of reasons, including so that defense witnesses who couldn't easily travel to DC could travel to the trial in Alaska, and also so that Jurors could first hand see his dump of an A Frame "chalet" in Girdwood, but Judge Sullivan overruled all that, suggesting that pictures would suffice and travel problems could be overcome.

Senator Fails in Effort to Move His Corruption Trial to Alaska

NYTimes: AUG. 20, 2008

WASHINGTON — Senator Ted Stevens, the six-term Alaska Republican, was spurned in his effort Wednesday to have his corruption trial, scheduled for next month, moved to Alaska from here.

Judge Emmet G. Sullivan of the Federal District Court here rejected arguments by Mr. Stevens’s lawyer, Brendan Sullivan, that the senator needed to be in Alaska to campaign for re-election.

Mr. Sullivan also argued that it would be a hardship for most of the witnesses from Alaska to travel to Washington, more than 3,000 miles away...

Nothing more fair for a Conservative than a DC Judge and DC Jury, and if I recall correctly, at least one critical Defense witness was unable to attend due to the prosecutors lying to him about when he might be needed in DC.

Jane

Never mind Clarice I saw it! Thnaks

Old Lurker

MM, you know I have a bunch of Beefeaters with your name on it.

sbwaters

From a distance it looks like Sullivan rattled both cages -- prosecutor and defense.

The prosecutors understand they look like heavies for continuing to threaten Flynn -- as evidenced by Flynn’s unwillingness to withdraw a plea.

The defense understand to they can be threatened more by a judge than by the prosecution.

I’ll bet that outside factors [Huber, Horowitz, other research, revelations, and bruising politics] will nudge this off center within 90 days before the next status hearing.

Sullivan’s treason comment caught both sides off guard and they now realize the court is neither playing games or willing to be played.

Another Bob

Many of the 4D Twitterati seem demoralized.

Porchlight

Sullivan’s treason comment caught both sides off guard and they now realize the court is neither playing games or willing to be played.

Since the treason comment was wholly unfounded and the judge apologized for it afterwards, I'm not sure I agree with this take, sb.

daddy

Thank goodness the punishment isn't the process.

Old Lurker

sbw, are you writing the comics for your paper now?

"Sullivan’s treason comment caught both sides off guard and they now realize the court is neither playing games or willing to be played."

All Sullivan revealed is that as he drives the getaway car after the thugs have beaten the mark to within an inch of his life, the Judge still has the power to back over the body a few times before leaving the alley with the thugs popping corks in the back seat.

As Daddy and James know, Swamp Critters gotta be Swamp Critters.

Jane

Bad bad day.

daddy

And I just want to get it on record that the conservative consensus was that Judge Sullivan was going to toss the case.

So what's the new Conservative consensus?

James D.

TOday is the first day that I really believe President Trump might be forced out of office.

It's clear that he has absolutely NO allies, and minimal if any control over the Executive branch thanks to the deep staters lurking everywhere there.

There is nobody at DoJ or FBI or anywhere in the federal judiciary who is even remotely honest or decent; they're all either traitors or cowards.

He has precious few reliable supporters in the Congressional GOP.

Half of the voters (and probably 2/3 or more of the general population) of the country believes the garbage the MSM pumps out incessantly about him and his supposed "crimes".

I think the Dems will impeach, and I absolutely cam imagine that 20 GOP Senators would vote to remove him alongside all the Dems. Can't you?

Start with McSally, Rubio, Collins, Sasse, Romney, Burr, Scott, Alexander - that's 8 right there who'd do it with no prompting at all, probably.

Old Lurker

"I can’t waste time choosing a mythical residence or playing silly reindeer games."

Okey Doke.

daddy

This 90 day delay probably also binds Trump's hands on releasing all the stuff everybody has been begging him for the love of God to release, if his original strategy was to release it for maximum effect around the time of Flynn's case getting tossed.

Please don't turn into another Governor Schwarzeneggar on us President Trump, even tho' not 1 guy in a thousand in DC tries to give you the slightest bit of help.

Also in three months, a true Trump obsessed hater will be AG of NY State and she knows damn good and well that all of Trump's tax returns are filed with her state as attachments to Trump's state tax returns, and she was elected on a plank of burying Trump and all his heirs.
