Jim Nj, of course you are correct, but it sickens me. OBAMA is a dirt bag. Everything Obama is, was and always will be, is a PUT UP. The man is a dysfunctional bi-sexual, COMMIE, Turkey basting FRAUD. Those OBAMA associated with, was drawn to or ever put in any position of power or authority, has been a lying COMMIE ASS-HAT or WORSE.

The "all 502 INTEL agencies" agreed the RUSSIA did XYandZ is the biggest LIE and COVERUP in history.
Brennan Clapper and OBAMA, were in CHARGE. If this RUSSIAN CAPER occurred, it's not as if OBAMA had not been warned. None of this INTEL BULLSHIT is TRUE. THERE ARE NOT 17 AGENCIES who all agreed. If so, WHY DID THEY NOT USE THEIR INTEL to STOP IT.

I'll try to be brief.
THE ENTIRE UMPTEEM SOOOPER DOOOOPER OBAMA CLAPPER and BRENNAN claims and their claims to speak for UMPTEEM agencies that none of us have ever heard of, was so pathetically weak, and chock full of bullshit, that an 8th grader should have had his/her BULLSHIT DETECTOR screeching full throttle.
OBAMA is a pussy girly boy. Claptard and AL QUDS Brennan are fucking GOOOFS.
So the 3 PUSSKATEERS tell AMERICA, that they have spoken to and are speaking FOR all of AMERICA'S INTEL OPERATIONS. All....(pick a bullshit number) 19 of them. Had no inkling of this INTERFERENCE during 8 years of being fuck ups. As soon as the CORRUPTION is about to be exposed, the group of SISSY GIRLS, suddenly know all about his RUSSIAN STUFF. And all 431 intel groups are in agreement, and CLAPTARD + AL QUDS Brennan are their SPOKESCLOWNS???

Right. I'm on board.

I need to go visit a brewery in ValPo so I'm willing make a little clockwise circle from Shapiro's to the brewery to Michigan City with a Growler and sandwich to go. I probably won't drive 10 over this time.

In addition to my sandwich I got a loaf of rye bread and a half pound of smocked chicken. I regret not getting any cheese. Even so my wife said it made the best sandwich she's had in a long time.

I also got a loaf of sourdough.

“(Mueller) received the documents, copies of which I still have, over a period of years and ignored a national security threat to the United States because of his political preference,” said Campbell, who said he is frustrated that the investigation into the Clinton Foundation and the other information he provided was apparently ignored years ago.

“These men were in charge of transport of nuclear materials (inside the United States) while committing criminal activity here in the United States and signing major US utility contracts,” said Campbell, referring to the information he provided the FBI on the American company Transportation Logistics International, also known as TLI, was the primary transport company for Russian enriched uranium sold to the United States.

“One teacup of what they were transporting both domestically and abroad could close down Wall Street or Washington,” Campbell warned. “(Mueller) ignored and delayed their arrests over years while I was risking my life undercover and interacting with these (Vladimir) Putin appointees both here in the United States and overseas.”

But Rep. Mark Meadows, chairman of the Freedom Caucus and member of the committee, said this time it will be different. He noted that the investigation is apparently ongoing with the FBI and DOJ and believes the information being delivered for Thursday’s hearing to be ‘explosive’ in nature and may help connect the dots.

jim nj

I'm still like what'd I do. That came out of left-field.

I'm feeling a little inhibited. The last thing I want to do is inflame anybody and I like JIB.

So I'm going to assume it's not me, but JIB.

JIB, I don't know what happened, but I'm worried about you.

But JIB, some things are more important than your feelings.

Tonight, the woman across the hall from me knocked on my door and told me I might need to call 911 for her boyfriend.

She confirmed that, and seeing the scene my first thought was OD.

I called 911 and told them the particulars to get an ambulance here. 911 asked me the problem. I said OD. She said he had a seizure. I reported that back to 911. Left her with my phone (she doesn't have one) to open the front door to the apartment building.

Let in the police, volunteer EMS, Fire Dept. EMS, Hackensack Hospital EMS.

Apartment is full with people. I'm in the hall outside the apartment. They're trying to sort out what is going on.

Somebody suggests Narcan, which doesn't harm if the diagnosis is wrong. Boom, he's conscious. Off to the hospital.

So, if I had some small part in saving the life of a 25 year old, I'm feeling blessed.

So, JIB, whatever is wrong, other people may have it worse.

Need to bring the hot-spot back to the library today.

Great job life saving, jim nj.

Am sure it was traumatic and had your heart racing, so hope you can get some sleep when you lay down tonight.

Ralph L

Doesn't it get confusing if a Japanese pilot/controller pronounces an R as L, or do they do that naming single letters?

Good Morning JOM--

i may catch hell or be roundly ignored due to the length of this post. no matter. to each their own.

when it comes to "being in the room" when conditions like Jack's activate, anyone --- and i mean anyone--- who uses their words, expresses a divergent thought or perspective, or who dares even to breathe air becomes a target.

jim-nj, me, Pin--- we did nothing wrong. i intentionally drew Jack out of his box. still, that wasn't wrong. his F-bombs are nothing i haven't heard from people with Jack's condition.

the psychological profile is very common, no matter age, station, economic status, work experience, amount of world travel, exposure to 'interesting' and 'accomplished people', career track, education.

the trap that affects all who become vulnerable to a certain, shall we say, force, is the same in principle--- the daily realities for each individual merely have different paint jobs. some have very ugly colors compared to others.

the trap is PROJECTION of the self-image based on a past which is long gone, whether it be the "golden-haired baby boy, or the "flaxened-haired apple of the father's eye", the high school champion, the college whiz kid, the dashing service man/woman, the "provider for the family", the multi-tasking mom, --- we all know those common but self-iconic profiles.

well, those fade during life and times which may not live up to those highlight reels--- no matter how many reels there might be.

one day so-and-so wakes up to find that the music from those highlight reels are but echoes of living and times that are not moving forward into new periods of life and its many challenges.

so the psyche fires up the highlight reels, the individual spends inordinate amounts of time living inside those to block the forces of one's life that are calling for change--- profound, personal, growth-inducing changes.

then there is that point where the highlight reel on Super 8 goes clickety clack or the reel seizes and the bulb burns through the celluloid. what now?

the condition ramps up and the downhill toboggan ride escalates, complete with flashpoint damnations and curses of the most vile nature--- such as what we witnessed from our friend, Jack.

make no mistake: Jack's vile outburst doesn't define the Jack with whom most of the people know as their friend. but the condition certainly limits an otherwise stable and reliable gent.

i know that at some point, no matter what pleasantries he and i may share from time to time Jack will take a run at me, and i'll have to show him to the time-out zone as i did yesterday and 3 months ago. that's my response to that condition.

protecting his character, his distinguished life, "he's a nice guy", "he's a vet so...", those are of no importance to me.

the man is facing a life and death battle with himself which many have fought- harrowed hell even--- and won. so can Jack.

it's common to us all who have been trapped the way that Jack has--- no matter what we've accomplished, if we lose the fight against the Condition, nothing of substance we've created in this same lifetime will matter.

i don't need acknowledgement. i don't need validation from JOM about this. i don't need to be elevated so that i stick around after one individual demonstrates his narrow belief that he speaks for some amorphous group who knew a "better", less pedestrian version of this internet blog.

sooner or later i rub people the wrong way. and here it is no different. i'm workin on it. :D

jim-nj, it really bothered me that Jack "threw shade" on your many, varied, and rich contributions to the linkage fest coming out of the night crew.

but i thought: being bothered is for sissies. time to strike Jack in his solar plexus, knock his wind out of him and sit him down in a chair to talk to him about what he's doing.

i can't control his reactions to me when i tell him the sober truth. i don't owe him a lie at that critical moment. Jack deserves the hard truth when he acts out in this specific way.

one thing is for certain, even though my association with him is through black and white wording on an internet blog, i'll always tell Jack the truth.

i expect the same from Jack. apologies are irrelevant.

embarassment, silent guilt and shame--equally so.

i know it sounds counterintuitive but those are
The Four Horsemen which brought Jack HERE-- and millions of others have been through what has engaged Jack with all of its Power, whether Jack acknowledges it or not in this late stage of life. we have ridden those same ponies to our respective and deeply personal ends, be it life or onto the only other option.

Godspeed, Jack. See you again soon, i hope.

Up earlier than usual. Find myself less than inspired by the impending Clinton Whistleblower testimony.

Shirley it will sit like a ppotamus on Hillary's head over the Christmas holidays. but, i suppose her vodka ramp up has been going on over the year since the records were seized in that raid down yonda.

Drip. Drip. Drip. The withering Dem counter-investigations will dominate the news cycle. More cover for the Clintons. So i'm less than inspired about the repercussions of the Whistleblower.

Ralph-- back in the day when my Paw was an air traffic controller, the controllers would f*ck with the Japanese pilots flying out of Honolulu.

the controllers would purposely use "Honolulu" instead of the airport code letters. all through the flight into OAK or SFO, the controllers would persist. they'd bet how long it would take for the Japanese pilot to break under repeated requests to confirm their flight information "out of Honolulu."

the breakdown was always can say: "We come out of XYZ! XYZ! Why you no listen! NO CAN HUNNA_RU_RU!!!!"

Paw tells the story much better than i. good thing no one can look that story up on FaceBook and grab all those pensions!

that was weird. here's the correct version of what i thought was correct in edit mode:

Happy Thursday, JOM. Traveling today. Carmel by the Sea. Two days away by our lonesome before the sojourn into Extended Family Land coming up at the end of the month.

Ralph L

I was conceived (as we all was) in Carmel, but born in Norfolk. I was a transcontinental fetus.

Jim nj, that was an OD, in case you need confirmation. You don't "boom, wake up " after Narcan with anything but narcs as the cause of your decreased state of consciousness.

God bless whoever gave him that in the face of her lie.

If your state lets you get it, get a syringe for yourself.
Next time--which could be tonight, her instead of him---you may not have the luxury of waiting for the EMT to arrive.

(and it is him, not you, and it did come out of left field. And that was plain hateful. Something is bad wrong there. If you are the praying type, keep him in your prayers. Please don't change a thing about your presence/posting style here.)

ralph, was that not TMI for you whenever you learned that??
Did they give you a room number??

You Southerners and your lineage obsession! ;-)

Sweet story. Honeymoon??

James D.

Somebody was talking about Giuliani and McCarthy and all the great people to come out of SDNY but I have to ask, what have they done for us lately? Were they really that great or were they just really good at PR?

Really good at PR. No question.

I posted earlier before reading KK's spot-on assessment above.

I think we are all old enough here to know what we are seeing, and most have "known" JiB long enough to care enough to tell him to stop taking whatever mind altering substance he is using and get some support in doing so.
AA is amazing thing, but not the only way.

And if you aren't drinking excessively or using, JiB--get thee to a neurologist, STAT.

On the Berry Field reference to Nashville, the old line, silk stocking firm there going far back is Bass, Berry & Sims. That's probably not a coincidence.

On the migration caravan, yesterday got the news that someone hubby works with had a child hit in a crosswalk and taken to icu. Police arrested the driver who so far turns out to have no drivers license, no insurance, and is here illegally.

Who should we feel compassion for? Invaders or their innocent victims?

Daddy, I always saw Rappongi as the “nightlife” district, less the “red light” district, but maybe it’s only a matter of interpretation.

Last time there I was told staying away might be preferable as there’s a Nigerian mafia taking over the clubs. Nigerian? Couldn’t confirm or deny that story.

This really is a 'must-read'. https://pjmedia.com/rogerlsimon/strasbourg-gangster-jihadist-makes-nancy-and-chuck-seem-clueless/

Not just for the term 'gangster-jihadist' but for this--

How many do we have? Well, we don't know--partly because Barack Obama made sure of that.

In its determination to secure a nuclear deal with Iran, the Obama administration derailed an ambitious law enforcement campaign targeting drug trafficking by the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah, even as it was funneling cocaine into the United States, according to a POLITICO investigation.

The campaign, dubbed Project Cassandra, was launched in 2008 after the Drug Enforcement Administration amassed evidence that Hezbollah had transformed itself from a Middle East-focused military and political organization into an international crime syndicate that some investigators believed was collecting $1 billion a year from drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering and other criminal activities.

Those are the first two graphs of "The secret story of how Obama let Hezbollah off the hook" by Josh Meyer, in my book the best investigative journalism of 2018 and deserving of the Pulitzer, assuming that award were ever given to something that merited it. If you haven't read the report, please do.

Besides being the mullahs' favorite terror army, Hezbollah has been known to be in league with the Mexican drug cartels from at least 2010, probably considerably earlier. That makes them easily classifiable as "gangster-jihadists" or "jihadist-gangsters," depending on your point of view.

Should this matter to us and affect our opinion about whether to build a wall, even if that only does part of the job, alas, alas, even if Nancy Pelosi is so terrified of her left flank that she doesn't dare support the border security she and Schumer both adamantly declared themselves to be in favor of but a few years ago, even if they can't stand the bright shining light of "transparency"?

((When I read that story about Trump vs. the intelligence community, everything Trump's former aide said rang true.

It's not up to the IC to decide if they trust Trump, it's the other way around.

Under Brennan the IC was corrupted, not all of it, but some parts of it. Enough of it.))

“Let’s put ourselves in Donald Trump’s shoes,” Morell said to Glasser. “So what does he see? Right? He sees a former director of CIA and a former director of NSA, Mike Hayden … criticizing him and his policies. Right? And he would rightfully have said, ‘Huh, what’s going on with the intelligence guys?'”

“And then he sees a former acting director and deputy director of CIA criticizing him and endorsing his opponent,” Morell continued. “And then he gets his first intelligence briefing, after becoming the Republican nominee, and within 24 to 48 hours, there are leaks out of that that are critical of him and his then-national security adviser Mike Flynn.”

“And so, this stuff starts to build, right? And he must have said to himself, ‘What is it with these intelligence guys? Are they political?'”

My dad was at Navy PG school in Monterrey for 2 years, so it wasn't tough to figure out where they were. My older brother was conceived in Florida and born in CA, so he's one in the other direction. My sister in Charleston and born in Key West. What's strange is that all our ancestors were in NC and southern VA by 1790 and moved nearer to each other over time. But my parents left as soon as they could and met in DC.

Guess we need his fingerprints.

I hope Trump assumed in 2017 that the senior civil service, not just the appointees, and a good bit of the senior military were partisans or thoroughly PC.

I saw that article yesterday, MM.

The utter lack of anything even remotely approaching accountability is so far beyond galling that the language doesn't have a word to adequately describe it.

THIS is why people hate and distrust government. Because no matter how badly government employees screw up, no matter how incompetent or careless or lazy or stupid they are, there are NEVER, EVER any consequences.

And yet, we pay their salaries, and their lavish pensions/benefits, and we are required to subject ourselves - and our children - to their authority and their "care" and at the end of the day we're expected to get down on our knees and thank them for the privilege of allowing them to have this power over our lives, no matter how they may abuse or misuse it.

I'm ready for the Apocalypse. Break the seven seals. Bring on the end times.

Suspected Terrorist Leading Migrant Group Demanding Entry Into US | The Daily Caller

A suspect in a 1987 bombing that wounded six American soldiers in Honduras is leading a group of migrants demanding entry into the United States.

Alfonso Guerrero Ulloa organized a march of approximately 100 migrants to the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana, Mexico, on Tuesday, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported. Ulloa delivered a letter to the consulate on behalf of the migrants, asking for either entry into the U.S. or a payment of $50,000 per person.

The explanation Brian offers makes sense to me.

This is about why Flynn plead guilty. He provides a time line.

I often stated, “One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the Wall.” This has never changed. Our new deal with Mexico (and Canada), the USMCA, is so much better than the old, very costly & anti-USA NAFTA deal, that just by the money we save, MEXICO IS PAYING FOR THE WALL!

Lanny Davis: Michael Cohen will ‘state publicly all he knows’ about Trump after Mueller investigation wraps

“At the appropriate time, after Mr. Mueller completes his investigation and issues his final report, I look forward to assisting Michael to state publicly all he knows about Mr. Trump — and that includes any appropriate congressional committee interested in the search for truth and the difference between facts and lies,” Davis said in a statement.

If Judge Sullivan was going to toss Flynn's case, wouldn't he already have done so, or couldn't he?

Michael Cohen will ‘state publicly all he knows’ about Trump

so much for attorney client confidentiality.

I never directed Michael Cohen to break the law. He was a lawyer and he is supposed to know the law. It is called “advice of counsel,” and a lawyer has great liability if a mistake is made. That is why they get paid. Despite that many campaign finance lawyers have strongly......

....stated that I did nothing wrong with respect to campaign finance laws, if they even apply, because this was not campaign finance. Cohen was guilty on many charges unrelated to me, but he plead to two campaign charges which were not criminal and of which he probably was not...

....guilty even on a civil basis. Those charges were just agreed to by him in order to embarrass the president and get a much reduced prison sentence, which he did-including the fact that his family was temporarily let off the hook. As a lawyer, Michael has great liability to me!

Today is my mother's 93rd birthday. I called her this morning and she was ecstatic. "Trump is going down, the NY Times editorial board said so". She couldn't be happier.

This is what we are up against.

Happy birthday for her Jane.

You don't want to disappoint her on her burthday.

Old Lurker

Have you bled to death yet, Jane?

Your mother sounds like my dem sister.

Did your mother hate Trump before he ran for president? My sister LOVED him. I have a distinct memory of her standing in my family room telling me how much she loved The Apprentice, how smart Donald Trump was about business and sales, and how I could learn a lot from watching it.

Beat ya to the new thread!

matt - deplore me if you must

I'm glad that I have been somewhat intermittent here lately. I love you all but can't stand the bickering. There are far more things that we tend to agree upon than disagree.

Civility is in short supply these days and JOM, with few exceptions has been very civil. Let's keep it that way. We can vent and argue, but in the end the people here are outstanding and care deeply about our country and even each other.

On a more political/justice note I find it deeply disturbing that Mueller has carried out a witch hunt for almost 2 years now while lawbreakers like Comey, Strozk, Ohr, Page et al have skipped. It offends my sense of justice and only confirms how corrupt the system has become.

I went looking for the video of Hillary apologizing to the Pakistani people after the Benghazi attack and Google has buried it so deeply I gave up. This is the monolith we are fighting. We are seeing the people rise up against the elite, but the elite are fighting back with every dirty trick they can find.

So we hang together or we hang separately.

Ralph L

Consider yourself deplored.

So good I'm repeating it all: Full text, WSJ editorial:
The Flynn Entrapment
A court filing shows the ugly tactics employed by James Comey’s FBI.
By The Editorial Board
Dec. 12, 2018 6:55 p.m. ET
Of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s many targets, the most tragic may be former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. The former three-star general pleaded guilty last year to a single count of lying to the FBI about conversations he had with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S. Now we learn from Mr. Flynn’s court filing to the sentencing judge that senior bureau officials acted in a way to set him up for the fall.
Not a rich man after decades in uniform, Mr. Flynn pleaded guilty to avoid bankruptcy and spare his son from becoming a legal target. Mr. Flynn’s filing doesn’t take issue with the description of his offense. But the “additional facts” the Flynn defense team flags for the court raise doubts about FBI conduct.
The Flynn filing describes government documents concerning the Jan. 24, 2017 meeting with two FBI agents when Mr. Flynn supposedly lied. It turns out the meeting was set up by then Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who personally called Mr. Flynn that day on other business—to discuss an FBI training session. By Mr. McCabe’s account, on that call he told Mr. Flynn he “felt that we needed to have two of our agents sit down” with him to talk about his Russia communications.
Mr. McCabe then urged Mr. Flynn to meet without a lawyer present. “I explained that I thought the quickest way to get this done was to have a conversation between [Mr. Flynn] and the agents only. I further stated that if LTG Flynn wished to include anyone else in the meeting, like the White House Counsel for instance, that I would need to involve the Department of Justice. [Mr. Flynn] stated that this would not be necessary and agreed to meet with the agents without any additional participants,” wrote Mr. McCabe in a memo viewed by the Flynn defense team.
According to the FBI summary of the interview—known as a 302—Mr. McCabe and FBI officials “decided the agents would not warn Flynn that it was a crime to lie during an FBI interview because they wanted Flynn to be relaxed and they were concerned that giving the warnings might adversely affect the rapport.”
We also know from then FBI Director James Comey that this was his idea. This is “something I probably wouldn’t have done or wouldn’t have gotten away with in a more organized administration,” Mr. Comey boasted on MSNBC this weekend. “In the George W. Bush Administration or the Obama Administration, if the FBI wanted to send agents into the White House itself to interview a senior official, you would work through the White House counsel, there would be discussions and approvals and who would be there. And I thought, it’s early enough let’s just send a couple guys over.”
If the goal was to set a legal trap, it worked. The two agents showed up at the White House within hours of Mr. McCabe’s call, and they reported in the 302 that General Flynn had been “relaxed and jocular” and “clearly saw the FBI agents as allies.” One of the agents was Peter Strzok, who is famous for his anti-Trump texts to his FBI paramour.
The FBI agents had seen transcripts of Mr. Flynn’s conversations with the Russian ambassador that were “unmasked” by Obama Administration officials. The 302 says that rather than flag this and ask Mr. Flynn for an explanation, the FBI agents decided before the meeting that if “Flynn said he did not remember something they knew he said, they would use the exact words Flynn used, . . . to try to refresh his recollection. If Flynn still would not confirm what he said, . . . they would not confront him or talk him through it.”
Keep in mind the FBI’s counterintelligence probe into Russia and the Trump campaign was still secret. Mr. Flynn had done nothing wrong in conversing with the Russian ambassador—it was part of his job—and he had no reason to believe he was in legal jeopardy. He initially claimed he misremembered what was discussed, which is more believable than that a highly decorated officer would lie to FBI officers he agreed to see without counsel.
Mr. Flynn’s lawyers are requesting probation and community service, though the facts suggest the judge should question the entire plea deal. Messrs. McCabe and Strzok have both been fired for misconduct, and their behavior reeks of entrapment.
If he does nothing else, President Trump has an obligation to former aides like Michael Flynn and to the public to declassify and disclose the FBI documents related to the FBI’s Russia probe.
