Mrs. JiB was going through some old photo negatives, and glass plates from the 1890's that were in my grandparents possesions. We are just now getting around to them. Here are some photos of a football game being played in Southampton around the 1895-1900 period of time. Note football britiches but no pads and helmets.

We also have a very fragile standing chest/cabinet full of early-music recording cylinders from the initial Edison phonograph eara. They are so delicate that if you touch them they disinigrate into dust.

It's fairly dangerous on machines like loaders, skidders, dozers. It's extraordinarily dangerous on the ground like fellers, knot bumpers etc.
Overall it's a lot more dangerous than fishing. In fishing all you have to do is not fall overboard and not sink and you're ok.
In logging you are constantly around large vertical cylinders weighing thousands of pounds and rendering them horizontal from point blank range. And there are others around you doing the same. On top of that are guys on giant machines driving up to grab those cylinders and move them and all of it usually occurs on the side of a mountain.

But a word of caution - that writer has some specious claims there. He claimed that "Kenya did not even exist until 1963" although the name comes from a native name for Mt. Kenya.
As Wikipedia says, "The Republic of Kenya is named after Mount Kenya." "The mountain's name was accepted ... as the name of the country. It did not come into widespread official use during the early colonial period, when the country was instead referred to as the East African Protectorate. It was changed to the Colony of Kenya in 1920."
And "In 1920, the East Africa Protectorate was turned into a colony and renamed Kenya for its highest mountain." per the Encyclopedia Britannica.

Even your nom de plume character's author, Agatha Christie, referred to "Kenya" in several of the stories she wrote in the period of the 1920's through the 1950's.

Additionally, the certificate does not use the term 'African-American' as he claims, and oBOzo said he was proud of his *grandfather's* service in WWII, *not* his father's.

Given those major errors, I would not be surprised if the claims re the hospital names have a different explanation that he missed, too.

That is a perfectly true observation about the effectiveness of a Congressional Investigation, but those two, especially Gowdy, played the "but it will be different THIS time card" over and over for his own political gain.

I believe the theory is that what they call the "singularity" at the center of a black hole, in fact has no volume and consequently the finite mass contained in zero volume produces infinite density.
Obviously black holes can't have infinite mass or the entire universe's mass would be contained in one black hole, although the density of Ed Markey's head does raise the possibility we are in fact living inside one.

Everyone should have an OL in their life.
I now am less upset about the House investigations ending with no definitive resolution.
I was warned ahead of time not to expect much so when that occurred I wasn’t downhearted .
I do expect in the next two weeks some information via tweet or whatever as to where Huber and Horowitz are at in their investigations.
If nothing, then an official inquiry by the Senate to Wray and New Guy Whitaker as to what the heck is going on.

I think we will get a China deal and I think most caravan people are going to end up staying in Mexico or going home.
