Per Politico:
Trump White House urging allies to prepare for possible RBG departure
After an ailing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg missed oral arguments, the Trump team began early groundwork for another potential confirmation battle.
I like this detail in their lede:
The White House is reaching out to political allies and conservative activist groups to prepare for an ailing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s possible death or departure from the Supreme Court — an event that would trigger the second bitter confirmation battle of President Donald Trump’s tenure.
"Second" bitter battle? OK, the Kavanaugh brawl dialed it up to Bork-Thomas levels, but the Gorsuch nomination was filibustered and the Republicans went nuclear. Critics later observed that Kavanaugh was sufficiently controversial that Republicans might not have chosen to go nuclear in his defense, but post-Gorsuch the die had been cast. Ah, well, water, bridge... We do have video of the Resistance brainstorming session that led to the Gorsuch filibuster.
The talking point should be Wall is protection we can't avoid not to have. Democrats just hate America, IMO.

Reading Janet's Tammy link I happened upon another one where that other Californicate scrunt, Jackie Speier, hauled trash from a national park and dumped it at the White House. In addition to this being a spiteful whore way to try and make a nonexistent point, whatever happened to all the green dickweeds hectoring to haul the GD trash which you produce back with you and dispose of it properly?
Remember the huge contrast between the respectful way the Tea Party people kept the mall free of trash during their rallies and the disgusting lowlifes and fuckheads attending both coronations of Gaylord Focker?

If you really want to see a trash nightmare, go to the border. Many areas I hiked and camped as a Boy Scout are unrecognizable now. Plastic bottles, diapers, wrappers, poop, etc is everywhere.
During a ride along the BP agent told me, as we got out of the truck to track a group, "You will not see an untouched portion of this land. The illegals have destroyed everything." He wasn't kidding.
The Sierra Club never seems to mention that when they set out food and water for the invaders.
As a citizen, good luck not going to jail if you tamper with a protected Manzanita on government property. If you are a fence hopping, trash spreading invader you can burn down thousands of acres of them without a peep.

Hello?!...What was the carbon footprint of that stunt?
http://tennesseestar.com/2019/01/10/house-democrats-dump-trash-from-national-park-service-at-the-white-house/
"California Democratic Reps. Jared Huffman and Jackie Speier delivered bins of trash to the White House’s front gates on Tuesday donning the words “Trump’s Trash.” With the help of volunteers, the Bay Area congressmen gathered the garbage from two sites at Golden Gate National Recreation Area over the weekend and flew it across the country to Washington D.C., reported The Hill."
On her Instagram acct. Rep Jackie Speier had the nerve to call President Trump's effort to secure our borders a 'stunt'.
Jackie Speier - "It’s time to end the @POTUS political stunt and get to work "

Garbage is everywhere.

The minute I heard about the appointment of a special counsel I knew this was all about Uranium One. Why else would Mueller & Rosenstein be leading this “witch hunt”? Notice how hard they are trying to keep Trump from having any interaction with Putin. What are they afraid he will tell them?9
Why would a 72 year old man, who already served an extended term as head of the FBI, want to interview for the position again? And why on earth would Rod Rosenstein accompany him to the interview. Conveniently he was appointed special counsel the next day and continues to have more power than Chris Wray.
This isn’t rocket science... it’s clearly [a] nuclear scam cover-up.

....I do have a plan on the Shutdown. But to understand that plan you would have to understand the fact that I won the election, and I promised safety and security for the American people. Part of that promise was a Wall at the Southern Border. Elections have consequences!

The NY Times article (which seems to have been triggered by the leak of the transcripts of Lisa Page’s testimony) about the DOJ and FBI opening up an investigation into Trump over concerns he was an agent of Russia moves the needle to almost fully pointing to “Rosenstein is a White Hat” .
A few weeks back there was discussion on this (and IIRC CH said that Jack Straw over at AoS said the same thing) that the main reason Rosenstein appointed Mueller SC was to protect Trump from McCabe who was leading the bogus investigation. If Rosenstein was a Black Hat he would have just allowed McCabe, Strzok, Page and everyone else part of the Obama criminal cabal to continue on with the bogus investigation.

"If Rosenstein was a Black Hat he would have just allowed McCabe, Strzok, Page and everyone else part of the Obama criminal cabal to continue on with the bogus investigation."
not necessarily so. let's take a different look.
if appointing Mueller as SC was designed to centralize CONTROL of investigative process (witholding evidence, burying evidence, etc. which is Mueller's historical pattern), then removing the investigating authority and perogatives from McCabe--- even removing him entirely from the FBI--- Rosenstein increased the power AGAINST the President.
to the public, removing McCabe shielded Rosenstein and Mueller from "the bad apples run amok."
McCabe crapped the bed.
something had to be done to minimize risk and exposure after Comey was torched.
in the wake of McCabe's failed schemes, and subsequent revelations, the cabal needed to centralize its investigative power and cork the FBI under Wray, going forward.
Rosenstein was the prime mover in this entire Special Counsel debacle, even to the point of acting unconstitutionally. that was HIS action.
His motive? WGARA?
i am now of the firm opinion that Mueller's investigation is a sandbagging operation to fortify their coverup of many different cabal directed activities.
further, once Mueller has released his report, and the US AG gains access to all work product, the administration will have a fighting chance to reverse engineer- in detail- what the investigation was hiding from the American people by not investigating the obvious (Steele and related players).
i am of this opinion because what we learned from Nixonian folly was the crime isn't the crisis (although these under Obama are devastating!) making incident--- it is the coverup.
the enemy is making a big big mistake in broad daylight. Trump is not interrupting that. this isn't 4D--- it's the art of war.
fire away.
Hope you're feeling rested and renewed, Tom R. Most of all, that you're full of piss and vinegar for the fights ahead!
MAGA!
Kev
