« Mitt Is Back | Main | And Here Comes The Boom! »

January 03, 2019

henry-this is what ryan did on his way out that I was referring to yesterday. https://e-pluribusunum.org/2018/12/20/senate-passes-evidence-based-policymaking-bill-setting-up-historic-win-for-open-government-data/

The false analysis of it by the ed lobby makes it appear it will be used as another effort to tout gdpr as the solution. As usual the right and left pincers are coordinating the panopticon function.

A bill to eliminate the electoral college.

I’ll use whichever fork I want. Do need no stinkin’ Mitt Rumblys.

Trump 3. Mitt -50 (after 1 day)

"Like many, I thought Donald Trump was a joke when he announced his presidential campaign.

Through most of the primaries, I was surprised that his campaign didn’t collapse.

I voted for him enthusiastically, given the alternative, but had only moderate hopes for his administration.

As it has turned out, Trump is fighting for the good, in a way we have rarely seen modern Republicans fight, 90% of the time, while the Democrats are fighting for evil in about the same proportion.

So call me a convert.

And oh, by the way–freshman Senator Mitt Romney, to whose losing campaign I donated, should sit down and shut up."

Don’t need no. — autocucumber thinks I need Rumbly.

Higher taxes, government expansion, more "free" stuff.

I trust Mitch McConnell will hold the line on this crap.

rse, it is clear to me the privacy train has sailed. All that bill does is make govt data slightly more convenient for hackers.

you and i--- we get a brand new year to receive our hearts' desires.

As Hillary Clinton enters 2019, does she reflect on how she blew through $1,200,000,000 and lost the 2016 presidential election?

I'm going into 2019 giddy over that historical fact, the likes of which no Hyena Media can spin.

And, i'm giddy over Peter Strozk and Andy McCabe having FAILED to deliver the goods to make that all that cash a winning fix.

Sure, they still need to get hung by their necks, along with the rest of them, for me to be ecstatic in vindication. but as i wait for justice to grind their bones, i think about what those three people spend their days enduring, the *LOSS* of their status and prestige.

it's shortening their lives. still walking around and not in jail, i want them to at least turn ashen gray eating prison chow, groveling for prison power and privileges, incessant meetings with their lawyers trying to get out.

enduring until the end: they lost.

MM: i was delighted to read the Nobel regrets yesterday. the link is repost worthy!

are you feeling better?

Here's one more article. https://e-pluribusunum.org/2018/12/21/congress-made-open-government-data-the-default-in-the-united-states/

If the fact that france and germany have already done this is not a red flag of the real intent, how about the fact that an open data executive order was bo's very first act on his inauguration day in 2009.

Account Deleted

the only way i'd associate a fork with MittRo is if it were to declare him DONE, arriving in the Senate DOA.

what a putz. he slurs the leader of the GOP, the POTUS; and now, as new accomplishments roll of the conveyor belt, he'll be forced to enjoy one more shitake sando after another.

didja think it through, MittRo?

who's advising you, Debbie Schultz? (haven't heard a peep outta her mug, have we?)

what was the price of that committee seat MittRo?

Will you be voting for removal, Mitt?

You're going to lose, Mitt. You ALWAYS do. Even when you win. You're on the down escalator and don't even know it.

Chords for today.

Hope your days are golden.

Of course, now I have to get caught up on stuff I meant to do yesterday!

I had a pleasant thought this morning.

Not likely we will ever hear another thing that comes outta Bob Corker's mouth.

Has @SpeakerPelosi and @BradSherman?Check the Jail records, they probably called their friend.

This is a scandal in the Chicago mayoral race due to the alderman facing federal charges being closely associated with a couple of the candidates.

So they haven't voted to reopen the government, They just wasted their time on anti American BS.

Good morning - raining here in West Tennessee where I've been for 4 days. My sweet mother-in-law passed away at age 88 and we are cleaning out 88 years of saved things. Amazingly, she lived a very frugal life - working at Walmart until well into her 80's - is leaving each of her 4 children a substantial inheritance. So she not only saved cool whip containers and sugar packets, she saved a,great deal of her $.
A wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry. How wonderful to leave such a legacy of love!

Another Bob

Ran into references to this “International Crisis Group” outfit. (One of their people was arrested by the Chinese recently.)

They’ve been around for years, injecting themselves into situations where they have little to no effect but garnering some publicity for themselves and thumping the globalist drums.

Decided to see who was running the outfit. All the usual kinds of international prog suspects, including a 30-something white woman with a title “Special Adviser on Gender” (rolls eyes). https://www.crisisgroup.org/who-we-are/our-people

Their list of trustees is a bit of a whos-who: https://www.crisisgroup.org/who-we-are/board

Completely useless sink of resources. Pure exercise of egos.

This caught my eye because my entire school was taken to see this movie, which probably wouldn't be allowed today because of its religious theme.

The author of the book was a Hoosier, General Lew Wallace, who had been a Civil War general.
Some fascinating pictures in this article.

Momto2,my condolences.

As I have stated many times, if the Democrats take over the House or Senate, there will be disruption to the Financial Markets. We won the Senate, they won the House. Things will settle down. They only want to impeach me because they know they can’t win in 2020, too much success!

How do you impeach a president who has won perhaps the greatest election of all time, done nothing wrong (no Collusion with Russia, it was the Dems that Colluded), had the most successful first two years of any president, and is the most popular Republican in party history 93%?

Buckeye, might want Irish coffee this morning.

Corker opens pie hole:

Republican Sen. Bob Corker said yesterday that the ongoing partial government shutdown is a "made up fight." He added that the Democrats and Republicans debating the border wall issue are "purposely there to create a fight."

Sheesh Momto2 you sure have been thru a hell of a lot in the last year. And you are always positive and upbeat. You deserve a really good 2019!

Well it is an emergency IMO, build the Wall now.

Very interesting article at Surber.
The Syria decision may pay dividends electorally beyond being the right thing for the US.
They argue that her support of wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as her bombing of Libya, tipped enough voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin to allow Donald John Trump to score the biggest upset in American history.

We've got 4 floors of my parents' and grandparents' stuff, plus 2 floors of a large chicken house in the back yard. There are a dozen old steamer trunks in the upstairs, most of the furniture from the 4 bedroom lake cottage and my great aunt's apt. downstairs. It depresses me just to walk over there where I used to love to visit and investigate.

Now hes gope, so caveat emptor:

Jack, that accident is being called a homicide. Does the FHP already know something about driver fault or something else?
The traffic here is terrible, not complaining, just a fact. When an area starts to be heavily built, the state of Florida just builds a new road! A new road is being built a few miles from here on US 41 to access the new Atlanta Braves spring training facility, due to open this spring.

We have so many steamer trunks from my great-granfather, grandfater, and great aunt, that we use them as night tables in our bedrooms, and for the TV in our living room. When we renovated the family home in Southampton, Mrs. JiB and friends spent 2 weeks rummaging through those trunks, and came up a full library of books, magazines, newspapers, etc. Not exactly a treasure trove but one of amazing lives lived.

Captain Hate

Excellent, henry; we can have some real entertainment.

Had never heard these creepy #metoo tales about SPLC's uber creepy Morris Dees.
It is from a divorce proceeding so salt shaker recommended but it is the testimony of his adult step daughter not his ex. Besides he's a nutcase, greedy, unscrupulous prog and an obvious creep so the tie does not go to the creeper.

A teacher at a polytechnic college reminded her pupils of tomorrow's final exam.
'Now listen to me, I won't tolerate any excuses for you not being here tomorrow.
I might consider a nuclear attack or a serious personal injury, illness, or a death in your immediate family, but that's it, no other excuses whatsoever!'
A smart-arsed guy at the back of the room raised his hand and asked,
'What would happen if I came in tomorrow suffering from complete and utter sexual exhaustion?'
The entire class was reduced to laughter and sniggering.
When silence was restored, the teacher smiled knowingly at the student, shook her head and sweetly said,
'Well, I suppose you'd have to write with your other hand'

What a sad story! Thank you Janet. I can't figure out how to shorten it.

Stanford College Republicans: Today, the 116th Congress was sworn in, and all day long, the media was salivating and fawning over the “remarkable diversity” of the new Democrat members. It was a day of “firsts,” we were told incessantly. It was indeed a day of many firsts. While the new Democrat majority offers many members of note, we wanted to highlight a few “firsts” who are examples of the “diversity” that was sworn in today. Here are our Top Most “Diverse” (Ridiculous) House Freshmen.

#1. Ilhan Omar: the first person who married her brother to commit immigration fraud ever to be elected to Congress. Omar is also the first open supporter of female genital mutilation to ever be elected to Congress. Such amazing diversity!

#2. Rashida Tlaib: One of the first Muslim Brotherhood-linked and anti-Semitic candidates to be elected to Congress. She also claims to be a “Palestinian.” Wonders never cease.

#3. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Where do we even begin? Let’s just say she is the first person elected to Congress who lied about being from the Bronx, and thus, made up her life story. She’s also an overt Marxist, in case you forgot.

#4. Abigail Spanberger: The first substitute teacher from an Islamist school (nicknamed ‘terror high’) ever to be elected to Congress.

#5. Donna Shalala: Rep. Shalala was HHS Secretary from 1993 to 2001 under Bill Clinton and worked from 2015 to 2017 at the Clinton Foundation, and in 2016 she admitted in an interview that some significant Clinton Foundation donors received “courtesy appointments” in the Clinton State Department. To top it off, apparently she can’t let go of politics: at 78, she’s the oldest female House freshman in history.

These are just a few examples of the “firsts” that the media has been celebrating today. If you are looking for corrupt politicians who show an open disdain and animosity for American principles and values, you can always count on the Democrat Party.

Ralph L

at 78, she’s the oldest female House freshman in history.

Does that mean a male started later (assuming binary sexes)?

Ralph, only non-males matter. It's a diversity thing.

Maybe she's older than this dude was:

after winning a special election at the age of 78, James B. Bowler of Illinois became the oldest known freshman Member to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. He surpassed his freshman colleague Dr. William Neal of West Virginia, 77, who had held the title for the previous seven months.

Jim Eagle

#5. Donna Shalala:

What the hell has happened to the conservative Cuban-American community in Miami, to have Shalala win that district? Perhaps narciso79 knows.

Ilhan Omar: the first person who married her brother to commit immigration fraud ever to be elected to Congress.

Could she be deported if this were proven true? And who would investigate? That would be popcorn-worthy.

Back to ballot harvesting: The only reason that NC Republican is in trouble is that harvesting is illegal in NC. California Democrats did the same thing but it's legal there.

It's become less Cuban American, the younger generation is just as prone as any other cohort.

Hollary carried that district by 20 points

Manuel Transmission

Tim Eyman, the conservative gadfly who has been sued into oblivion by our Commie AG, just delivered 352,000 signatures (240,000 required) to place a referendum on the fall ballot. This is his signature quest of forcing a $30 limit for our state license tabs. Not bad for a disgusting Blue Hell. The tags were knocked down by him years ago when we had outrageous fees that forced a lot of people to drive crappy fume spewing junk to avoid multi hundred dollar fees. Of course, the blue slugs found numerous schemes to circumvent the first version. I suspect this one has a few additional caveats to reduce their options next time.
