Good morning - raining here in West Tennessee where I've been for 4 days. My sweet mother-in-law passed away at age 88 and we are cleaning out 88 years of saved things. Amazingly, she lived a very frugal life - working at Walmart until well into her 80's - is leaving each of her 4 children a substantial inheritance. So she not only saved cool whip containers and sugar packets, she saved a,great deal of her $.
A wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be greatly missed.

How do you impeach a president who has won perhaps the greatest election of all time, done nothing wrong (no Collusion with Russia, it was the Dems that Colluded), had the most successful first two years of any president, and is the most popular Republican in party history 93%?

We've got 4 floors of my parents' and grandparents' stuff, plus 2 floors of a large chicken house in the back yard. There are a dozen old steamer trunks in the upstairs, most of the furniture from the 4 bedroom lake cottage and my great aunt's apt. downstairs. It depresses me just to walk over there where I used to love to visit and investigate.

RalphL,
We have so many steamer trunks from my great-granfather, grandfater, and great aunt, that we use them as night tables in our bedrooms, and for the TV in our living room. When we renovated the family home in Southampton, Mrs. JiB and friends spent 2 weeks rummaging through those trunks, and came up a full library of books, magazines, newspapers, etc. Not exactly a treasure trove but one of amazing lives lived.

SMART ARSED ANSWER OF THE YEAR
A teacher at a polytechnic college reminded her pupils of tomorrow's final exam.
'Now listen to me, I won't tolerate any excuses for you not being here tomorrow.
I might consider a nuclear attack or a serious personal injury, illness, or a death in your immediate family, but that's it, no other excuses whatsoever!'
A smart-arsed guy at the back of the room raised his hand and asked,
'What would happen if I came in tomorrow suffering from complete and utter sexual exhaustion?'
The entire class was reduced to laughter and sniggering.
When silence was restored, the teacher smiled knowingly at the student, shook her head and sweetly said,
'Well, I suppose you'd have to write with your other hand'
What a sad story! Thank you Janet. I can't figure out how to shorten it.

Stanford College Republicans: Today, the 116th Congress was sworn in, and all day long, the media was salivating and fawning over the “remarkable diversity” of the new Democrat members. It was a day of “firsts,” we were told incessantly. It was indeed a day of many firsts. While the new Democrat majority offers many members of note, we wanted to highlight a few “firsts” who are examples of the “diversity” that was sworn in today. Here are our Top Most “Diverse” (Ridiculous) House Freshmen.
#1. Ilhan Omar: the first person who married her brother to commit immigration fraud ever to be elected to Congress. Omar is also the first open supporter of female genital mutilation to ever be elected to Congress. Such amazing diversity!
#2. Rashida Tlaib: One of the first Muslim Brotherhood-linked and anti-Semitic candidates to be elected to Congress. She also claims to be a “Palestinian.” Wonders never cease.
#3. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Where do we even begin? Let’s just say she is the first person elected to Congress who lied about being from the Bronx, and thus, made up her life story. She’s also an overt Marxist, in case you forgot.
#4. Abigail Spanberger: The first substitute teacher from an Islamist school (nicknamed ‘terror high’) ever to be elected to Congress.
#5. Donna Shalala: Rep. Shalala was HHS Secretary from 1993 to 2001 under Bill Clinton and worked from 2015 to 2017 at the Clinton Foundation, and in 2016 she admitted in an interview that some significant Clinton Foundation donors received “courtesy appointments” in the Clinton State Department. To top it off, apparently she can’t let go of politics: at 78, she’s the oldest female House freshman in history.
These are just a few examples of the “firsts” that the media has been celebrating today. If you are looking for corrupt politicians who show an open disdain and animosity for American principles and values, you can always count on the Democrat Party.
after winning a special election at the age of 78, James B. Bowler of Illinois became the oldest known freshman Member to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. He surpassed his freshman colleague Dr. William Neal of West Virginia, 77, who had held the title for the previous seven months.
Back to ballot harvesting: The only reason that NC Republican is in trouble is that harvesting is illegal in NC. California Democrats did the same thing but it's legal there.
Tim Eyman, the conservative gadfly who has been sued into oblivion by our Commie AG, just delivered 352,000 signatures (240,000 required) to place a referendum on the fall ballot. This is his signature quest of forcing a $30 limit for our state license tabs. Not bad for a disgusting Blue Hell. The tags were knocked down by him years ago when we had outrageous fees that forced a lot of people to drive crappy fume spewing junk to avoid multi hundred dollar fees. Of course, the blue slugs found numerous schemes to circumvent the first version. I suspect this one has a few additional caveats to reduce their options next time.

Jack, that accident is being called a homicide. Does the FHP already know something about driver fault or something else?
The traffic here is terrible, not complaining, just a fact. When an area starts to be heavily built, the state of Florida just builds a new road! A new road is being built a few miles from here on US 41 to access the new Atlanta Braves spring training facility, due to open this spring.

Think of the categories:

Frequency of crossing the aisle.
Stabbing the President in the back.
Entertainment by ugly people.

All fatal car accidents are investigated as homicide.
RalphL,
We have so many steamer trunks from my great-granfather, grandfater, and great aunt, that we use them as night tables in our bedrooms, and for the TV in our living room. When we renovated the family home in Southampton, Mrs. JiB and friends spent 2 weeks rummaging through those trunks, and came up a full library of books, magazines, newspapers, etc. Not exactly a treasure trove but one of amazing lives lived.

Had never heard these creepy #metoo tales about SPLC's uber creepy Morris Dees.
It is from a divorce proceeding so salt shaker recommended but it is the testimony of his adult step daughter not his ex. Besides he's a nutcase, greedy, unscrupulous prog and an obvious creep so the tie does not go to the creeper.

If you are looking for corrupt politicians who show an open disdain and animosity for American principles and values, you can always count on the Democrat Party.

at 78, she’s the oldest female House freshman in history.
Does that mean a male started later (assuming binary sexes)?
Posted by: Ralph L | January 04, 2019 at 12:26 PM
Ralph, only non-males matter. It's a diversity thing.
Posted by: henry | January 04, 2019 at 12:28 PM
Maybe she's older than this dude was:
after winning a special election at the age of 78, James B. Bowler of Illinois became the oldest known freshman Member to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. He surpassed his freshman colleague Dr. William Neal of West Virginia, 77, who had held the title for the previous seven months.

#5. Donna Shalala:
What the hell has happened to the conservative Cuban-American community in Miami, to have Shalala win that district? Perhaps narciso79 knows.

Ilhan Omar: the first person who married her brother to commit immigration fraud ever to be elected to Congress.
Could she be deported if this were proven true? And who would investigate? That would be popcorn-worthy.
