James,
All I'm saying is that all that hate wears away at you. If you can't let it go - particularly about dead people, it will destroy you. (Or maybe it would just destroy me.)
I apologize if it sounds like preaching. There is a lot of hate around here, and certainly not just from you. I know how destructive it can be, so I worry, but I probably should have just kept my mouth shut.
Didn't someone from Cowtown plunge in a small plane in Lake Erie a few years ago? I remember feeling bad for everyone because they seemed like nice people.
CH, I met Fleming once, he did seem like a nice guy.
He transitioned into a light Cessna Jet as I recall from something quite a bit slower. Even though there are a number of small jets certified for single pilot operation, generally best to fly with a second pilot on board until you have some experience and familiarity with the aircraft.
Faster you go, the quicker the transitions, and workload goes up big time.
He only had 56 hours in type, and probably a big chunk of that was with an instructor getting checked out before being certified single pilot qualified.
I'm sure I've told this before but my second cousin used to be part of Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's security detail when she was lieutenant governor of Maryland, and she attended the reception of my cousin's short lived first marriage and sat at the table where I was. Even though she's a doctrinaire lib (my very conservative second cousin would constantly ridicule her) she was very personable and pleasant to talk with.
Great article and pics on Ranil Singh's funeral. LEO murdered by illegal immigrant.

If nothing else, it’s tiring to get worked up all the time at all these people who we (deservedly) hate. I’d rather not think of them at all. The problem is they won’t let us ignore them. They’re constantly shoved in our faces (as with the latest worshipful show about JFK Jr).
Rear Admiral Cuck with the lefty talking point of the day:
It’s pretty clear that what’s driving Trump now isn’t a governing strategy. It isn’t a re-election strategy. It’s a “hold enough of your base to stop the Senate from convicting when the House impeaches” strategy. Trump must expect that the Mueller report will be very bad for him.
Well, I have the Christmas tree about 1/3 undecorated. It occurred to me that I should label the ornaments that were hand-made by my grandmother when she was in Pioneer Women down in Brown County after they retired. Then I realized I should label the antique ornaments that came from my parents' tree, one of which is definitely WWII (clear glass with painted stripes) and one of which is from te 1930's.
So I thought I would take a break before I did that.
I had some relatives on Mother Hate's side of the family that had a farm on Kent Island. I was never sure exactly how I was related to them (their last name was Goldsborough, if that means anything to your wife) and when I went to ask about it everyone who would know was dead and my brother is useless on things like that.
Has Trump hate driven otherwise sane people nuts or has it simply revealed those who have been irrational leeches from the get-go?
Ignatz,
I think it falls into 3 categories:
1. Those driven nuts because they didn't think he could win and didn't think she would lose.
2. Those revealed to be total grifters and crooks.
3. Those who think if they get rid of Trump THEIR preferred candidate will have a chance.
I appreciate finding out about all 3 caregories. It makes my support for President Trump seem well-reasoned and firmer. All 3 of these categories need to be out of public life.
CH, I met Kathleen when she was interning at a friend's law office, and , I agree, she was very personable.

But this presentation was just a week after the famous inicident with his nephew down in the Palm Beach compound. The press were only interested in that subject. and flooded the zone. We were at the MassPort facility, which had a restaurant. He commandeered it and he and I had lunch. At least he was honest about why, to avoid the press.

yeah, and if you spot it you likely got it.
"hating" public figures is a far cry from the debilitating habit of speaking of others- judging them- as if they aren't in the same room as oneself.

Police search for a bearded white man as they try to establish a motive for the deadly shooting in Houston.

---Why the death of a 7-year-old black girl became a national story about race and violence

etc.
We have @ 20 shootings a week in Chicago that get zero coverage from BBC/SkyNews/Guradian/etc, since it is Black on Black violence. But now that the perps have been arrested
