For well over a decade, female students in Dartmouth’s Department of Psychology and Brain Sciences (the “Department”) have been treated as sex objects by tenured professors Todd Heatherton, William Kelley, and Paul Whalen. These professors leered at, groped, sexted, intoxicated, and even raped female students.
Aww, what the hay, here's paragraph 2's and 3 since your interest is whetted.
2. These professors ensured the young women in the Department were vulnerable to this sexual harassment by conditioning faculty mentorship and support on students’ participation in the alcohol-saturated “party culture” they perpetuated. Among other things, these professors conducted professional lab meetings at bars, invited students to late-night “hot tub parties” in their personal homes, and invited undergraduate students to use real cocaine during classes related to addiction as part of a “demonstration.”
3. Dartmouth has known about bad behavior by these professors for more than sixteen years. Dartmouth’s supervisory faculty, administrators, officers, and employees (such agents, unless referred to by name or position, hereinafter referred to as “Dartmouth”) have received complaints of pervasive sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination perpetuated by Professors Heatherton, Kelley, and Whalen since at least 2002. But Dartmouth did nothing and ignored these complaints, thereby ratifying the violent and criminal acts of its professors.

and for iggy too ... iran is funding sunni islamic terror groups to build an expeditionary army to topple the saudi regime. they liquidate them after they are done or fail in their primary mission.
progressives like it because chead saudi oil goes off the market and everyone else likes it because the saudis go away.
Qatar isn't really a country anymore ... about 9 tenths of the population are foreign laborers and the royal family is sitting on a rather large sea of oil. pretty sure the iranians can come up with a deal then alter its terms ...
A funny story about that Susan Zirinsky, who is taking over CBS News, per MM's 10:37 link.
I don't see it, but apparently Mrs K resembles Susan Z. to the extent that once many years ago she was in an airport, and Dan Rather came up and said, "Susan!" and gave her a hug. (I know, disgusting.)
(Now if she'd had her wits about her she would have said "What's the frequency, Kenneth?")
I might have thought it's just the mentally ill Rather, but apparently a few others have made similar comments; once when we were traveling we struck up a conversation with someone who happened to work for '48 Hours,' and that person said she noticed the resemblance. (Mrs K is many years younger and more attractive, incidentally.)
Qatar? Well I understand that Qatar and Iran share a gas field. I have heard that Iranis send money to Qatari banks for safe-keeping, so an economic relationship seems OK. I don't know how much further, or deeper, the relationship grows.
The relationship with Turkey that seems to be a defense pact. Qatar has a very small armed force and in the past has relied on the the US and UK having an airbase near Doha.
I think the problem in Qatar is too much money with such a small population. 300,000+ citizens, the other 86% of the population is foreign born.
Al-Jazeera self-censors itself on Qatari internal affairs, but digs into everybody else's with stilted reports.
Qatar seems to fund a lot of groups that seek to overthrow other governments. Kind off a more physical means of Al-jazeera's efforts.
I don't know what motive Qatar has for what it does, but it does seem to have an out-sized influence in the ME. Punching above their weight, so to speak.

The difference in traditional media mentions of AOC and Dan Crenshaw is a pretty easy measure of media bias.
===============================
Boy, if this isn't true. AOC is shoved in our faces constantly, even though she's dumb as a box of rocks while you have to seek out Crenshaw on Twitter or conservative web sites.
AOC has an undergraduate minor in economics from Boston University. And THAT, right there my fellow patriots, is the radical truth that will save our Nation.
AOC: Let's leave Lincoln out of it. Further, you are a marxist, not a radical. Marx published his manifesto in 1888.
the various brands of "marxist" philosophy as applied through communist political nationalism have been tried over and over again, undivergent from the basic DNA set forth by Marx 130 years ago.
the chief result of marxism has been failed nation statehood, most recently Venezuela.
be that Venezuela represents a government cabal trying the same things one more time as other failed communist states (predicated on marxist philosophy), and you are advocating the same--- that isn't radical at all.
This Jasmine story reminds me of Matthew Sheppard except for the part where the murder victim was totally innocent. And there was no Twitter around to debunk St Matthew.
Crenshaw at least has done something for the country, sacrificing an eye in the process, and demonstrates some measure of humility.
AOS seems to me to be self-centered and convinced that her lunatic ideas are THE answer.
I also make note that she has no compunction about calling President Trump a liar while making up her own set of facts.
As freshmen congressmen, one would think that both would get a little bit of air time while news stories would focus on more senior members, committee chairs, etc.
AOS is being followed because she is attractive and is pushing a radical agenda.
KK-the relevant marxist theories in play today are not from the communist manifesto. In fact I think it's the least relevant of his works.
The Human Development Society comes from his early works and that is what is in play in both ed theory globally and the UN's various initiatives. They were supposedly not translated into English until the 50s although that turns out not to be technically true as I have tracked them to a British conference in the 30s.
No argument MM, except that as freshmen congressmen, nobody should be paying attention to either one.
Re. media bias, water is wet. Nobody called out Pelosi (who I’m convinced has actual senile dementia) for her “equal to the president” nonsense either.
I foresee disruption at the State of the Union speech. The three prima donnas of the dems (AOS, the Palestinian, and the Somali) will try to grab the spotlight.
Buckeye,
I love thatbline and wholeheartedly agree. My state Senator is going to introduce a bill for Indiana to join the compact to bypass the electoral college. It should die without getting to conference. Infuriating nonetheless.
I’ll be calling her office to let her know what a dipshit she is.
rse: fair point. just going back to the source of what's evolved into what your citing. fair point to make as well instead of getting into the weeds over all of the theoretical mincings. thanks. -Kev
Like many things the MSM does to promote the left and attack Trump, the effect is likely the opposite of their intent. Though the immediate goal is just ratings. Nothing like a clown show for that.

With all of the success that our Country is having, including the just released jobs numbers which are off the charts, the Fake News & totally dishonest Media concerning me and my presidency has never been worse. Many have become crazed lunatics who have given up on the TRUTH!...
...The Fake News will knowingly lie and demean in order make the tremendous success of the Trump Administration, and me, look as bad as possible. They use non-existent sources & write stories that are total fiction. Our Country is doing so well, yet this is a sad day in America!
...The Fake News Media in our Country is the real Opposition Party. It is truly the Enemy of the People! We must bring honesty back to journalism and reporting!
-- as freshmen congressmen, nobody should be paying attention to either one.--
Why?
They may or may not go further in politics but deciding they're irrelevant until they've been around longer doesn't seem to make any more sense than ignoring Lew Alcindor when he was in high school.

JUST IN: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is working from home as the first arguments since her cancer surgery begin. It is believed to be the first time that Ginsburg has missed arguments for a reason outside of recusal.

This Jasmine story reminds me of Matthew Sheppard except for the part where the murder victim was totally innocent. And there was no Twitter around to debunk St Matthew.

Another Bob,
Crenshaw at least has done something for the country, sacrificing an eye in the process, and demonstrates some measure of humility.

Posted by: Account Deleted | January 07, 2019 at 06:48 AM
KK-the relevant marxist theories in play today are not from the communist manifesto. In fact I think it's the least relevant of his works.
The Human Development Society comes from his early works and that is what is in play in both ed theory globally and the UN's various initiatives. They were supposedly not translated into English until the 50s although that turns out not to be technically true as I have tracked them to a British conference in the 30s.
Posted by: rse | January 07, 2019 at 06:49 AM
No argument MM, except that as freshmen congressmen, nobody should be paying attention to either one.
Re. media bias, water is wet. Nobody called out Pelosi (who I’m convinced has actual senile dementia) for her “equal to the president” nonsense either.
Posted by: Another Bob | January 07, 2019 at 06:51 AM
Although, there might be an argument that AOC’s election despite her obvious rank stupidity is (in a backhanded way) newsworthy.
Posted by: Another Bob | January 07, 2019 at 06:53 AM
Another Bob,
I agree neither should be getting much attention, other than the usual feature on incoming freshmen with a paragraph or two on each.
The overblown coverage of AOS does hit you in the face, though. 60 Minutes? Really?

Buckeye,
I love thatbline and wholeheartedly agree. My state Senator is going to introduce a bill for Indiana to join the compact to bypass the electoral college. It should die without getting to conference. Infuriating nonetheless.
I’ll be calling her office to let her know what a dipshit she is.

POTUS should stop going to the Hill for that. Do it on TV. Or deliver a printed copy..

“60 Minutes? Really?”
Like many things the MSM does to promote the left and attack Trump, the effect is likely the opposite of their intent. Though the immediate goal is just ratings. Nothing like a clown show for that.
James D, great idea at 6:38.
