Hey guys. Remember Adam Housley? He used to be a Fox reporter but quit to open a winery.

Here is his page. Read the first 5-6 tweets ad tell me that we are closer to the truth about DC than anything seen on TV.

https://twitter.com/adamhousley

A friend of mine visiting her daughter and family out in California alerted me to it.

MissMarple2

Captain Hate,

I think that was the BEST anti-Romney screed I have read - even better than Senator Perdue's!

Captain Hate

Miss Marple,

Housley had a good response to what daddy said about the FBI agents not coming forward: if the MFM isn't reporting on anything and is being highly selective on what they report, who wants to have their family life turned upside down and be the next Linda Tripp? Everyone claims to support whistleblowers until they say something not popular. It takes a real act of principle to risk losing everything.

Yeah, but we had the House and all the House Investigative Committees and to my understanding we could have called up to testify all those tons of FBI Agents that DeGeneva told us multiple times were dying to testify. Did we call them? No. Not Chafetz, not Issa, not Gowdy, not Meadows. Nobody. The TV cameras could not have ignored that, so we let the TV cameras off the hook by not calling the FBI whistleblowers up to testify.

Yet already we hear the House Dem's are going to have hearings on everything and everyone that is trying to help Trump survive.

I do not think there are any honorable FBI agents who actually give a damn what has been done by their agency or the DoJ under prior leadership.

And I do not think anybody in the Administration from Trump on down, or in Congress, or in the Judicial Branch ever had any real intention to get to the bottom of any of it.

Name me an exception or two to the above and I will simply say those are the exceptions which prove my rule.

CH, they took oaths. They asked us to give them badges and guns and the power to legally destroy people’s lives.

They have to be held to a higher standard. That’s the price to be paid for the power and privileges they get. If they don’t like that bargain, they can resign.

daddy

Name me an exception or two to the above and I will simply say those are the exceptions which prove my rule.

OL,

Off the top the only FBI WhistleBlower I can recall who fearlessly blew the whistle on actual FBI corruption was Rookie FBI Agent Chad Joy in the Ted Stevens fiasco: FBI keeps agent who botched Stevens case and hounds out the whistleblower

Here, from a McClatchy story about 9 months earlier, before all the corruption was confirmed, is a description of how the FBI circled the wagons to publicly damn Agent Chad Joy and ride him out of town on a rail: Key players in Stevens corruption case contest whistle-blower allegations

As the Justice Department prepares its official response to the FBI whistle-blower complaint that surfaced in the case of former U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens, people with first-hand knowledge of some of its issues, including some named in the complaint, say it represents overblown concerns of an inexperienced agent...

...the retired second-in-command of the Anchorage FBI office, Robert Burnham, described Kepner as a top-notch, creative investigator. Joy, her co-case agent turned antagonist, was meticulous with numbers but inexperienced and uncomfortable with the discretion that agents in the field sometimes need...

Makes me wonder what with all the training Director Wray just made these 38,000 wonderful Agents go through, did they hold former Agent Chad Joy up as a figure for praise, or did they instead stress the discretion that agents in the field sometimes need when they worked for the Cardinal?

BTW, whats's Wray's nickname? I'm guessing its either "the "supercilious weasel" or the "Eraser."

Stephanie Nene Not Your Normal Granma

A man wanted to be dismissed from jury duty, but none of his excuses worked. So on the day of the trial, he asked to approach the bench. "Your Honor," he said, "I must be excused from this trial because I am prejudiced against the defendant."

"Oh?" the judge asked.

"Yes!" the man replied. "I took one look at the man in the blue suit with those beady eyes and that dishonest face, and I thought, 'He's a crook! He's 100% guilty.' So, your Honor, I couldn't possibly be on this jury!"

The judge replied, "Get back in the jury box. You are just the kind of juror we are seeking--a good judge of character."

The man protested, "How can you say that?"

"Because," the judge said, "that man is the defendant's lawyer."

Old Lurker

Cap'n,

a) me. Once in private to a boss/owner. Once before a large group to an important person.

b) lots of people. Honor is not an easy thing.

But swearing an oath to act one way and accepting money to do it does not permit turning a blind eye to obvious crimes done by one's employer. That does not demand doing it on the front page of WaPo, but it does demand doing something.

Old Lurker

James "they took oaths. They asked us to give them badges and guns and the power to legally destroy people’s lives."

AND they took money from the public for making that promise to the public.

Here's the first comment at Miss M's 04:41 about a 2nd Black Male being found dead of Drug Overdose at the home of that old white homo Donor tor the Dem's Jack Buck.

Some people may be upset from my response however, I feel as if he is not a murderer each individual is old enough to make decisions for themselves. Being that this is the second time it has happened we as a community need to see what are we doing wrong if anything that yet another young gay Male life was lost. I am sure Mr.Buck did not make them take the drugs, nor did he make them come to his house...

MissMarple2

I maintain we don't meed the FBI. Keep the finggerprint and forensic labs and disband the rest.

If we ARE going to keep it, require that interviews be recorded. Enough of this 302 BS.

Captain Hate

a) me. Once in private to a boss/owner. Once before a large group to an important person.

Good for you. But this didn't make your name known to the general public as it would an FBI agent naming names. You know damn well that the MFM would give him or her the Linda Tripp treatment, including unflattering portrayals on SNL, and pretty much ruin his/her family's existence. And the stalwart GOP would just go tsk-tsk.

Old Lurker

Daddy, the mistake we often make here is to assume that people on the other side, if they only knew "the truth" about X, or if the MSM would just tell them the truth about X, or if the elected leaders would 'splain the truth about X...then they would agree with us and X would be corrected.

That is simply not the case. A big chunk (that is a scientific term I learned in Statistics Class) of half our population is perfectly happy with X and regrets not getting more X faster.

That commenter in your 5:37 proves my point.

Captain Hate

A Kennedy relative that didn't receive top flight legal counsel? Good one, Connecticut.

Old Lurker

Cap'n, I know what you are saying but of course you are taking an even more dismal view of our people than even I do. If we cannot count on our FBI agents to object to crimes in the next cubical, then there is no hope that anybody else will fix it. "Not my business" (and all the associated moral decay just like that) has brought us to the edge of destruction. Cementing the notion that no normal person can be expected to speak up ties a cement block around our necks and heaves us over the brink.

daddy

Yep OL,

And the investigation of the former FBI Agent who coached Judge Kavanaugh's accuser about how to pass a Polygraph Test and how to lie is just blazing along even as we speak, right?

Extraneus

when did you ever put your professional status on the line by speaking out in public about things your employer did that you knew were wrong?

Never in my case, but I resisted every effort to discriminate on the basis of race or gender, and never obliged them once. My conscience is clear on that, and I had plenty of diversity in the organizations I ran.

Maybe once I retire for real (I'm still on the books until the vacation they won't pay me for runs out) I'll describe more about the disgusting insidiousness of affirmative action in a major Fortune 100 corp, but not until then, if then, as I still know a lot of people in my industry, and even more know me.

I will say this. I never once attended mandatory training on diversity and related bullshit. I ignored every email reminding me that, as a manager, I had to attend as a condition of employment. They never took it up the notch it would have taken to become a confrontation (which I would have lost).

When I was a first-line manager (department level), I had to hold an annual "equal opportunity" meeting, which involved showing a video and leading a discussion. Of the choices offered, I found a video called "The Story of O," the title of which was obviously a take on the S&M story, but it was great. It was an animated cartoon about a bunch of X's and the introduction of a single O. It was a nice story, actually, and the X's eventually welcomed the O into their midst. I showed it every year until I made it higher up and didn't have to do EO meetings anymore, since I managed managers.

Uh oh, I'm starting to reminisce about my former career. :-)

Captain Hate

The treatment of Chad Joy pretty much removes any incentive in the FBI for revealing wrongdoing. Director Wray, if he was this great leader, would address this moving forward.

"Tell me, Keyboard Kommandos, when did you ever put your professional status on the line by speaking out in public about things your employer did that you knew were wrong?"

i did, CH. 1991-1995. Non-stop. But the big one was revealing to the public, in Vermont anyway, of the connection between the University of Vermont's eugenics history--- dating back to the founding of the US Cooperative Extension Service up to and including the exportation of that model *wholesale* to Nazi Germany in 1936, as the bureaucratic model for their lebensraum campaign to eradicate ethic minorities in the Ukraine and as the managerial spine for their gauleiter "county by county" system of governance.

i lost *EVERYTHING* and was blacklisted from ever teaching or working in hire education.

i'm not a victim. my life was difficult for awhile. and the four years of hell yanking the king's cape in Vermont (the entire state is corrupt beyond belief) made me physically ill (70 hour weeks; no days off for 4 years; and living under the constant threat of violence, FBI "investigations" yada).

but, in the aftermath i was able to become clearer about my actual purpose, learn how to produce value and get paid for THAT, and heal.

"THEY" can only win if i quit.

that's my "rule." :D

at risk of being branded a "bullshitter", "serial poster" etc by the paint-by-number renaissance crowd, here is an addendum to the whistleblower post---

There is a connection between University of Vermont's "eugenics legacy", Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood, and the university's slavish engagement with Monsanto's bioengineering/biotechnology/food production research and development.

it is not the stuff of conspiracy or science fiction--- it's called "business as usual" for a university that is steeped in what was once called "the retired national security state" but is now referred to as "deep state."

CH: isolated for sure. when university types witness the public execution of a popular figure on campus, they shutter their windows and bar their doors. they feared for their jobs and FBI surveillance put a certain pallor on all off-campus/social contacts with people who were swearing "lifelong friendship" while the ramparts were being scaled.

the moment that standard went down, so did their eyes. the University has implemented some program models based on my handiwork, and their library dropped the name of their former president in the late 20s who was part of the "eugenics linkage" with nazi Germany.

I'm betting he's not going to sit there and whine about the Democrats for long. Then he'll recount some horror stories about illegal immigration, pausing for dramatic effect when necessary. Then he'll explain that he's been forced to declare a State of Emergency and will announce that the military is on the way and will protect the border once and for all. CH, another point about the FBI and us expecting agents to do the right thing even at the cost of their reputation, career, family, etc:

“when did you ever put your professional status on the line by speaking out in public about things your employer did that you knew were wrong?”

If by wrong you mean illegal or clearly unethical, I’m not sure I’ve faced that dilemma. But I’ve certainly spoken my mind on internal matters to the detriment of my career, rather than pretend I supported what senior management was doing. Both in my last job and my current one. I’m not claiming to be heroic. I don’t know what I’d do in a real whistle-blowing situation.

What?...no banning LARGE contributions from non-profits? Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood, NARAL etc. are businesses.

And how about let's put a dollar amount on partisan "news" coverage!

The WaPo, abortion groups, & leftist green groups are who won the Democrat elections in Virginia.

Captain Hate

I’ve certainly spoken my mind on internal matters to the detriment of my career, rather than pretend I supported what senior management was doing. Both in my last job and my current one. I’m not claiming to be heroic. I don’t know what I’d do in a real whistle-blowing situation.

Probably the right thing if you've done something in the past that was detrimental to your career. I faced something blatantly not following the rules when the departing execs at the third rate electric utility wanted to park their platinum parachutes in the company savings plan until they found a better place for it. I said absolutely not; that it violated the terms of the prospectus and they certainly could afford to pay someone to advise them on where to stick it. I was politely but firmly told by a friend at the next level that I couldn't fight it but I was still furious, even more so when dealing with those shenanigans cost the other participants.

After I left the company I met with an attorney about filing a class action lawsuit but didn't follow up beyond that because I was sure the guilty wouldn't pay and they'd probably make my friend the fall guy. So I passed on doing it but was sure I was right.
