We are going down to Jupiter/Juno Beach on Monday to play a round of golf at Seminole Club. Be interesting to hear the scuttlebutt at the club since a lot of those old codgers caught in the sting are probably members.
Doesn't Kraft have a significantly younger squeeze since his wife passed? Maybe his wife was the only thing that kept the old goat tethered to reality. Pretty embarrassing if true but still just a gossipy pseudo event for the MFM to fixate on while they ignore the predations of Clenis.
JIB, nothing funny about it--these are low capital outfits and family and friends from the old country help each other into the business. They know how to open and run them , the suppliers, etc. In DC(and I think NY) this is true of most of the best greengrocers--Korean.Often these people pool money to help one member of the pool open shop, When that becomes profitable the recipient kicks in for the nest one.
Our dry cleaner in Southampton was started by an Armenian family. They owned it for over 50 years, then about 10 years ago they sold it to a Korean family. At one time there were about 8 in the shop. Then 4 broke off to operate cleaners in Hampton Bays, and East Hampton. Just like you wrote.
Re Russia, I think we're closer to the period after the time of troubles in the early 16th century when even Poland had taken advantage of them, the time of the sienkowitz novel I mentioned early in the week this was when Sweden was a major power.
Kraft could have had a high-end call girl visit him at his own place or hotel room whenever he wanted. His main crime was going the seedier route, for whatever reason.
I actually have read Quo Vadis about 3 times. First time in high school, second time when I got it out of the base library in Berlin, and third time about 20 years ago.
You have to get your mind adapted to the flowery language, but it really is a very good book, and amazing when you realize the author was Polish.
On this day in 1630, English colonists in the #Massachusetts Bay Colony first sampled #popcorn, when a Native American named Quadequina-brother of the Iroquois chief, Massasoit-brought a deerskin bag of popped popcorn to dinner as a gift.

I find the Muthana case quite interesting, and think it's falls under a JOM "core competency" as it swerves into US v. Wong Kim Ark waters :)
There's a good write up at American Thinker stating it may be used to argue illegals from southern border are hostile enemies so don't fall under birthright citizenship per US v. Wong Kim Ark decision.
However, I agree with Jane that a lower Ct will probably rule she was considered a citizen at one time, so she is still now. Though, I think taking up arms with ISIS is actively renouncing citizenship.

There is far more ENERGY on the Right than there is on the Left. That’s why we just won the Senate and why we will win big in 2020. The Fake News just doesn’t want to report the facts. Border Security is a big factor. The under construction Wall will stop Gangs, Drugs and Crime!
Incredible 6 Nations game in Cardiff as Wales goes up 16-13 on England with 10 minutes to go. There will maximum use of Ben-Gay after this game. Punishing is an understatement.
MM,Trish Regan on Fox Business has been reporting on Venezuela every night in recent weeks and has spoken to the families of six Americans who have been detained.
What I said that according to SC precedent she would probably be let in, so it was important to update the law which goes back to the 60's, pre 9-11. The Congress has that job. The SC does not like to change laws.
Video at link. This gentleman has kept a memorial site for 10 US flyers killed in a crash near his home. He and his friends were playing and he believes the pilot went into the trees to avoid hitting them. Worth watching.
Hubby just returned from his Saturday kayak club paddle. He said,I babysat the 93 year old guy, because he was getting tired and it is really hot today. The British couple in the group also babysat the old guy. Hubby, the old guy and the two Brits were separated in the mangroves from the larger group. The mangroves are dense, like being in a tunnel. So,they finally rejoined the group and a couple of airboats flew by them, causing some choice words back and forth. Some guys in the second airboat mooned the kayakers. Hubby then ended the story with, did I mention I stepped in a fire ant nest? I said, sounds like a fun time! :)
I didnt think Wayne's comments were so outrageous:
I finally read it, and neither do I. He didn't like gay sex in movies, and probably didn't like gays, either. Big deal. Everyone doesn't have to like everyone else. He didn't approve of race-based preferential treatment. So what? Neither do a lot of people.
Anyway, off with his head, just like the Confederates and the Founding Fathers. After the country splits, maybe he can have another airport named after him.
Oh,hubby said the kayakers were mooned by some good old boys in a fishing boat. I guess that makes the story better. :) The airboat guy was just obnoxious.
I know, Jane. I've had some gay friends, too. As long as they're not throwing it in your face and forcing you to imagine gay sex (which a lot of straight people find revolting), it makes no difference to me either.
Marlene, I recently learned that the wake your boat leaves is considered part of your boat so if your wake were to tip over a kayak or if someone is injured because of it, that boat owner is liable.
I can't see a Democrat controlled House with all their muzzie members, socialists, etc. ever passing a law like that. That's why she should be treated like an enemy combatant until we can get a House that will have the common sense to pass a law that removes citizenship if you join organizations that sponsor terrorism.

Marlene,
Thanks! I don't have cable and have to read all of my news, so I didn't know. Glad to know she has it in the spotlight!

Re: Kraft, I would think most males would be sympathetic. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to jerk off while wearing 6 super bowl rings.

JIb,
What I said that according to SC precedent she would probably be let in, so it was important to update the law which goes back to the 60's, pre 9-11.

Ext,
There are 2 types of gays in this world: Gays that are gay first and people second; and gays that are people first, and gays somewhere down the line.
I've had a lot of gay friends in my lifetime, and all the good ones were in the 2nd group.

Jane,
I can't see a Democrat controlled House with all their muzzie members, socialists, etc. ever passing a law like that. That's why she should be treated like an enemy combatant until we can get a House that will have the common sense to pass a law that removes citizenship if you join organizations that sponsor terrorism.

The U.S. has provided critically needed aid for the people of Venezuela. Now is the time for Venezuelan military to allow aid through the border. As Interim President Guaido said today “Those who accompany us to save the lives of Venezuelans are true patriots.”
