Bern, baby Bern is in the Dem 2020 race. Mike Bloomberg may be dialing up his contemplation. As to Bloomberg's prospects, is the nation ready for a brash self-made New York billionaire?

Good morning - I'm still catching up and reading the latest on Smollett.
I saw this on Twitter:
Investigators wanted to meet with him today but he stepped out because he is meeting with a crisis management office. For real.
Which prompted this comment:
amazing how he gets to tell cops when he will come in. Why no FBI agents with a predawn raid on @CNN

--is the nation ready for a brash self-made New York billionaire--
The nation was ready for the first brash, self-made New York billionaire because he spoke for many millions who had been rendered voiceless.
The dilettante Bloomberg speaks for the goddamned commie megaphones that have run our country into the ground.
They don't need or like him and we don't want nor can stand him.
A sawed off, patrician, arrogant punk with no natural constituency, zero natural charm and a truckload of misguided self regard.
I don't even have to say it do I?

LOL TM. Brash? Bloomberg? I'll have to think about that. :)
Perhaps more pertinent - is the nation ready for a Jewish president? I'd like to say that it is, but recently elected Democratic officials seem to have other ideas.

My opinion (like assholes, we all have one:) is that RR is a "wet-finger-into-the-wind" kind of guy. That is why he wore his Morning Suit and cufflinks Trump gave him to his first argument before the Supremes. As a family man he doesn't take chances, at least that is the way I see it.
I would discount the Jordan & Gohmert imbrigilo, there seems to be more to that feud than the FISA application.

Responding to TK from the last thread.
Isn't your main gripe that words shouldn't be twisted? How do you read what I write and conclude with that PS BS?
What was BS?
When you say something like this:
Cates main point seemed to be that Rosenstein isn't a coup plotter. I agree with that.
You are now agreeing to a point I have been making for months here. If Rosenstein was a Black Hat trying to destroy Trump, he wouldn't have done anything to thwart McCabe's coup attempt. That prompts me to respond with:
PS If you now agree with CH and me welcome to the team.

My grand-father assisted Charles Blair McDonald in building the course for The Furness-Withy streamship company. McDonald knew my grandfather from building the National Golf Links, in Southampton.
We had a winter sports shop in Bermuda since the turn of the century up the start of WW2.

rse: "Jim did you see my reference on the previous thread that today's post starts to answer your math question as to the why on deliberate dysfunction."
This was the thesis that Common Core, et al, want to fundamentally rewire the brain? Clearly our educators are not, in general, smart enough but presumably they can hire smart people.
The thesis that the intention is to hobble the US by producing dysfunctional kids has the virtue of being within dumb educators' capabilities. Also, fits the world view that everything is America's fault. Like in the days of Pres Carter. Just neutralize America and the world will magically rise to health. Then came Russian invasion of A'stan, Olympic boycott, etc and the outlook was reassessed.

Anonamom, from the last thread: I do NOT find it hard to cook for a family this way either,
The key word in that statement is "cook." If I did the cooking, it wouldn't be hard, though my family might complain about all the red meat. I can cook, but don't have the time to do it every day.
As for "bacon, bacon, bacon": I hate to be the spoilsport here, but I have read that heavily processed meats like bacon and hot dogs might be problematic. This was from a pro-red meat source (don't have a link) claiming that studies finding an association of red meat with disease failed to distinguish between processed and unprocessed, and only the processed were responsible.

Kirsten can't look at the situation any way other than with her self-hating identity politics, all the more sad considering that, in size order of offensiveness, there were three elements at the Covington event:
- A group of black adults shouting racial insults and threats to some white kids.
- An adult Indian aggressively walking up to some white kids and trying to provoke them.
- Some white kids wearing hats supporting the President, who did a pretty great job handling the situation.
