Kamala Harris calls for paper ballots in elections: "Russia can't hack a piece of paper" http://hill.cm/IbulSgo

This means the democrats have already figured out a way to do so.

Harris believes in voter fraud?

You don't have to pig out on red meat or bacon if that bothers you--lots of other choices on keto.

Fish, chicken, eggs, cheese--you name it. I had smoked whitefish and cukes and tomatoes and homemade keto buns(almond flour) and butter for breakfast. Sometimes I make birch bender's wonderful paleo waffles with Lakanto maple flavored syrup and butter.Or just a lovely omelet with stuff inside.

That's the one I missed, too, henry. Who the hell has that memorized?

Julie Kelly does a pretty good job of showing their similarities.

henry, I missed that one and another which is too embarrassing to reveal, lol.

Harris is trying to push the "Russia hacked the election" hoax. Trust me, either they have a plan to cheat with paper ballots (I can think of at least two wayas) or this is a fake suggestion that she knows her pals in Congress would stymie, while she looks oh-so-pure.

At ceremony today in the Oval Office, Pres Trump is signing Space Policy Directive 4, to establish the US Space Force. @CNET today quoted USAF Chief of Staff @GenDaveGoldfein, saying the directive establishes Space Force within USAF, instead of separate branch of the military.

Texas Sheriff from Agency Historically Linked to Drug Cartels Denounces More Border Security

The article also makes no mention of the dark history that follows the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office itself. Since taking command, Guerra is working to improve the public’s perception of his agency. The image was severely tarnished by his predecessor Guadalupe “Lupe” Trevino, who just finished a five-year prison sentence for taking campaign money from a Gulf Cartel-linked drug lord living in the county. Trevino’s right-hand man, former Commander Jose Padilla, also spent time in prison on bribery charges involving cartel funds. Around the time of Trevino’s downfall, the Panama Unit–an entire street-level narcotics task force made up of nine Hidalgo County Sheriff’s deputies and the sheriff’s son–also went down for escorting drug loads and selling some of the protected cargo. Former Hidalgo County Crime Stoppers program coordinator James Flores also went to prison for helping stage drug raids and busts.

Before Trevino, Brigido “Brig” Marmolejo, another Hidalgo County Sheriff, also went to prison in 1994 for taking money from a Mexican drug lord. According to prosecutors, Marmolejo took a monthly $5,000 bribe and additional sums from Homero Beltran Aguirre. The money was meant to earn preferential treatment for Beltran Aguirre, who at the time was housed at the Hidalgo County Jail. Marmolejo would let Beltran Aguirre use his office for conjugal visits with various women.

The sheriff says we don't need no steenkin' wall.

Democrat pollworkers keep boxes of uncounted ballots in their car trunk just for such occasions.

Jim-that's why they must follow the desired template or be fired. I don't think anyone disputes that a Lauren Resnick, Linda Darling-Hammond, Boulding, or Michael Cole are smart.

As were Leontiev and Luria. Cole was the exchange student of the first and translated the biography of the other. It is their templte being executed and globally.

The funniest take I ever read was ed profs who refused to push the constructivist math on their ed students so the PI told the Ed Dean to get some sociology profs to push it. In Atlanta (later to gain infamy for its cheating scandal) a nobody cultural anthropology prof at Ga State suddenly got to travel the globe in 5 start luxury after agreeing to be the reference for APS teachers who didn't want to change what they were doing).

It's also not a matter of concluding that the desire is to rewire the brain. I just quote people's own admissions about the intentions of their required practices.

That Kirsten Powers "apology" was singularly "lacking in grace.

And why the hell bring black teenagers into it? There weren't any black teenagers involved (The behavior of the black "adults" is another issue, I suppose). Is there some recent instance of the entire national media, powerful public figures, and Hollywood condemning and vilifying black teenagers for being insufficiently polite to a strange old man behaving strangely?

I must not have been paying attention when Publius was discussed in Civics class.

Dragging over from the other thread...

...the worst kind of "studies" ever--people's recall of what they ate the preceding month.
I think my data is pretty high-quality. I have a scale on my person most of the time, and 90-95% of the food that I put in my mouth is weighed or otherwise measured to fairly high-precision. The small amount where I'm estimating (usually from eating homemade food that other people cook) I'm reasonably confident that I'm not so far off. I record everything*.

All of my data is at MyFitnessPal (which has HUGE privacy implications I know...) So there IS high-quality data out there, if we can figure out how to pull it out of the mass of crappy data, and how to analyze it. What I see when I look at my data is that there's a lot more carbohydrates than you think in "high-fat" food, and a lot more fat than you think in "high-carbohydrate" food, and it's really hard to get enough protein. I have a "recall of what I ate" in my head, but if I actually look at the numbers it doesn't match. For a whole lot of reasons... When you think of the sandwich you ate you remember the meat and the cheese, but not the bread. A few fries on the plate vs an entire dish of fries. The teaspoon of sugar in your coffee which you stirred in vs the half cup of sugar in the soda that you drank as it came. I've seen diabetics get all riled up over six corn kernels in a salad, and not pay attention to the tomatoes or carrots...

I am a person who knows, most days, EXACTLY what I eat, down to a tenth of a gram. Compared to my "recall of what I ate"? Let's just say I KNOW that "what I recall" is a load of nonsense.

*I suspect that a good part of the 130lb weight loss is that having to measure and record everything is a pain in the neck because it turns every meal into chemistry lab. In other words there's all the calories that I don't eat because eating is now annoying.

Here's story about some White and Black kids that came together in NOLA, have you heard anything about it?

The White kids were in NOLA for a wedding. They saw a homeless woman being harassed by some Black kids and tried to intervene. Even more Black kids poured off a bus and beat one guy so bad he was unconscious and his front teeth fell out in his gf's hands.

Anyone know anything about this? This seems to be the first time I can remember that a couple of Democrat lawmakers are concerned about National Security.

""We shouldn't require less information to … to register a car than to register an aircraft," U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) told WFAA. "If you are a foreign national … you can register an aircraft here and the government doesn't know anything about it. Come one. It's laughable."

Have we heard a word from Barr since his confirmation 5 days ago?

Captain Hate

Time for me to stop cutting Kirsten Powers slack because she's attractive.

Here's nearly an hour of hoax hate crimes and it's only volume 1:

CH, she was a lot more tolerable back in the days when she appeared on Fox; I don't know if you've listened to her lately, but she's completely around the bend.

Here's the guy they say is Barr's pick to replace Rosenstein:

Captain Hate

Thanks, box; I only remember her from Fox and even then she was good for at least one WTF per appearance.

Barr's pick for Special Counsel re: matter of intelligence agencies attempted coup 2015-2017

It's Time for Congress and State Legislatures to Make Hoax Hate Crimes Themselves Hate Crimes, and Felonies to Boot

As Infobee and John Hayward argue -- what is a hoax hate-crime if not an effort to create waves of hatred and possible violence against a race or group?

BTW, Rush Limbaugh read this thread and pointed out, rightly, that we'd be living in a different, more dangerous world if Smollet's plan to get this fake attack on camera worked.

Apparently the camera he thought would film the attack was pointed in the opposite direction.

But if he had gotten this basic fact right, we'd have seen coverage of this staged attack of MAGA-hat wearing white men (wearing gloves and ski-masks to hide their ethnicity) beating up and tying a noose around the neck of a black man.

This would have of course created -- what's that word? -- Backlash against white people, especially those wearing red hats, and put their lives in danger from bad actors seeking racial vengeance.

From Ext's 12:54 above on Kirsten Powers lamely pseudo-apologizing for smearing the hell out of the Covington kids:

CNN contributor and USA Today columnist Kirsten Powers invoked her Catholic faith in an apologetic Twitter thread Monday in which she said her tweets directed toward Covington Catholic High School boys — whom she accused of "disrespecting an Indigenous elder" on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial last month when in fact he approached and confronted them — were "lacking in grace."

When did she become a Catholic? I thought she was an Evangelical Christian, converted after meeting her post Anthony Weiner squeeze and attending his church in NY City.

Powers spent most of her early life as an atheist but love changes her into an evangelical Christian. After having dated a religious Christian man, she started converting to Christianity as she was introduced to the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City.

Naturally she started out as an Episcopalian before becoming an Atheist, which makes sense, but it's tougher keeping up with her Church life than it is keeping up with her love life.

18/19. Amendments. I picked 26.

It might be a multi-generational gap in education. I remember we had world and US history but also seperate Civics courses, mock legislative processes, and mock trials in high school.

Anyone know what common-core teaches vis a vis Civics?

BTW, the 27th Amendment. Completed forgot about this one. From 1992.

"No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened."

Too bad Odumbo. No Mosque on the lake for you:

Judge rules Obama Center lawsuit can proceed
A federal judge today said a lawsuit meant to prevent the construction of the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park can move forward.

That was the only one I missed too. I vaguely remembered the ERA being the proposed 27th Amendment, and of course failing to get ratified.

Good point, Ralph.

Here we go.

Trump reportedly pressured Whitaker to intervene in Cohen probe

When Whitaker was newly-installed as acting AG, Trump asked him whether Manhattan federal prosecutor Geoffrey Berman — a Trump pal — could be put in charge of the investigation into Trump’s hush money payoffs to a porn star and Playboy centerfold, The New York Times reported.

There is no evidence that Whitaker intervened with the investigation underway in the Southern District.

But he did tell colleagues at the Justice Department that the New York prosecutors needed “adult supervision,” the paper reported.

Whitaker, who once told associates that his role at Justice was to “jump on a grenade” for Trump, knew he couldn’t put Berman in charge, since he had already recused himself from the probe because of conflicts.

The commander-in-chief soon “soured” on Whitaker, and complained about his inability to make his legal problems go away, according to the report.

The Whitaker anecdote was part of a larger story detailing Trump’s efforts to discredit special counsel Robert Mueller, the Justice Department and FBI to try to derail probes into Russian election meddling and possible collusion with the Trump campaign and other subjects.

Whitaker earlier this month told the House Judiciary Committee that Trump never asked him to interfere in the Russia probe or any other investigation.

New York Rep. Jerry Nadler, the committee’s chairman, suggested after the hearing that Whitaker had not been truthful, and said the committee would issue a subpoena to grill him again under oath.

(1) Isn't it weird that in America our flag and our culture offend so
many people, but our benefits don't?

(2) How can the federal government ask U.S. citizens to pay back
student loans, when illegal aliens are receiving a free education?

(3) Only in America are legal citizens labeled "racists" and "Nazis,"
but illegal aliens are called "Dreamers."

(4) Liberals say, "If confiscating all guns saves just one life, it's
worth it." Well then, if deporting all illegals saves just one life,
wouldn't that be worth it?

(5) I can't quite figure out how you can proudly wave the flag of
another country but consider it punishment to be sent back there..

(6) The Constitution: It doesn't need to be rewritten; it needs to be reread.

( 7) William F. Buckley said: "Liberals claim to want to give a
hearing to other points of view and are then shocked and offended when
they discover there are other points of view."

(8) Joseph Sobran said: "'Need' now means wanting someone else's money.
'Greed' means wanting to keep your own. 'Compassion' is when a
politician arranges the transfer."

Online petition seeks to sell Montana to Canada. ‘Just tell them it has beavers.’

"selling Montana to Canada for $1 trillion to erase the national debt"

That would just barely cover this year's INCREASE in the National Debt.

I had a lot of associates at Big Engineer-Constructor who worked on our Caracas Metro project. [Little known fact, Caracas has a subway system, that is how wealthy a country it was or could be again]. They bragged about the cleanliness, cosmopolitian nature of the city, cultural abundance, etc.

Then one time, the son of one of our executive VP's hit a "grifter" with his car in one of the lesser barrios. Our Venezuela representative told us to get him out of country immediately, which they did. Common problem was to get a Yanqui to hit you with his car and demand a million dollars but settle for $5K. Problem there is waiting in jail for the conclusion of negotiations.

In another situation, they demanded $50K for a kidnapping of one of our pipeline project crews. They put the money in a satchel, gave it one of our spanish speaking engineers who flew down via Panama City, where he when to a bar got drunk and lost the satchel:)

President-Elect Jim,SunnyvaleCA

CH: "The old BOHICA approach no longer applies."

OK, I concede your point.

What's the statute of limitations on obstruction?
That's kind of an interesting question, right? Suppose you commit a crime, a single act on a particular date. Then going forward you commit another crime, obstruction of justice, to prevent you from being brought to account for the first crime. If you succeed in that obstruction by committing new crimes every day, that should reset the SOL clock on the obstruction crime each day, right?

Here's an interesting thing that popped up. I follow the Q posts on Twitter (as does ChiTown) but I don't post them here because I have never been certain of their veracity, plus they are often in code which has to be decoded by the Anons, and it's just too confusing if you don't regularly follow.

Well, two days ago Q said that Dan Coats would be leaving. This caught my eye because he is a former Indiana senator. He is currently DNI.

Coming home on the radio I heard CNN quoted as saying there were lots of rumors Coats was leaving. The reason is that he tries to tell Trump what to do.

Now, these rumors could be swirling around Washington OR CNN follows Q and decided to post it as fact with their own spin.

I found it significant enough to post the information here. We will see what happens.

It's like how they treated running the government and the White House. Destructive and aiming to destroy traditional values.

Horrible people, and it's a horrible design for a building.

Lurker Susie, That was great!

Cathy, I could never ever do what you did. My biggest problem under Keto is that I don't eat enough. 50 lbs took me 8 months. I bet I could have done it in 6 if I ate more. But I'm very happy with this lifestyle. I'm never hungry, and I love the food. And every once in a while I cheat. Maybe once or twice a month. But it's perfect for me. Never been happier with my meals, and never wish I could have X or Z. I'm sure I'll be on it for life, and I'm pretty sure Keto will slow itself down (like it did last month) as I'm pretty close to what my goal should be. I never thought I would lose this much, so I guess I'm close to my goal!
