Wow. Would have thought this would be the kind of high profile case they effectively couldn’t settle.

Indiana governor, because we have a workforce program.

The Redpill Mill is running 4-10's for the Holiday.

From a henry link several threads back:

The rate of violent crime in Nashville-Davidson County is 1,102 per 100,000 residents.

In 2016, FBI data said 81 people were murdered there.

Usually, high crime rates correspond with low income levels and high unemployment rates. But Nashville is an anomaly. It had one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, at 3.6 percent, in 2016.

Another Bob,

Pope Che has driven me away from the Church. I joined under Pope Benedict.

I don't know what to do. The Protestant denominations around here are mostly just as liberal, if not worse. I guess I am going to have to investigate independent churches.

Ig, if everybody in the world would just do what my youngest sister and I see so clearly what they should do , we would all live in peace and harmony. ;-)

(You know damn well I've posted links for MM at her request at least five times in the past three years. I am entitled to what is known as ritcheous anger at having her moan about being all on her own today, even though I do get what she's saying is that her doctor is not on top of things, so she can't look to him for support or advice. What else is new?)

UPDATE: Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx has officially recused herself from the Jussie Smollett case, according to Chicago police:

Anyone know what might be the reason for this recusal?

Oh the Post will settle. Absolutely

Katy Perry traded Russel Brand for Orlando Bloom. She's still on le coq carousel.

Probably ties to the smollett family I'm guessing

Please drop your anger. All I meant was that I was going to have to go to your links because my doctor was clueless.

I thought I had made that plain when describing what was on the television in the waiting room, as well as him not knowing about keto or anything else.

I have paid attention to what you said, or I wouldn't have asked him about it!

Why do you think I flagged you about what happened?

I am sorry you are upset, but I was NOT pissing and moaning, but rather trying to point out that doctors often don't know what's going on.

I apologize for getting you upset. I didn't mean to do so at all.

They should trade Shemp to MSNBC for some office supplies.

Posted by: Dave (in MA) | February 19, 2019 at 04:24 PM

You damn near destroyed my Acer with that one. If the keyboard is not waterproof.

Foxx used to be chief of staff for this preckwinkle person who wants to free all the ex cons in Chicago, sounds like the ones that nearly torpedoed st. Louis and went after greitens

They need those office supplies what use can you make of shemp?

Video of recounting of what was said.

Yes, very few practicing physicians are on top of how to stay healthy. They are too busy being compliant with government and third party payer regulations to do much reading. Look at yours as your employee, not your parent, and adjust your expectations accordingly.

Ashley WHO???

In his book McCabe says he PLANNED to tell the gang of 8 about the c/i investigation of Trump, but when Nunes showed up he didn't This week he;s on TV saying he DID tell them.https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/mccabe-rosenstein-wanted-nunes-barred-from-meetings-with-congressional-leaders

Your analogy is confusing---
Was Stalin's goal peace and/or harmony?
I've never read anything that indicates that.

Goodnight, MM.

He can't keep his lies straight:

I'm announcing my candidacy from this girl's bedroom. What's your name, sweetheart?

That is monsterous Jim_nj

At this point, it seems more likely that McCabe is the Russian asset.

They are not just reluctant - it's a political hot potato. The EU doesn't want its' people back. It wants somebody else - like the US - to hold on to them or kill them.

They'll then accuse us of barbarous acts.

What they should do is arrange for a swap in custody from the SDF forces to Syria and pay the Syrians a few dozen million Euros to feed , house, try them, find them all guilty and shoot them with EU supplied bullets.

Yes, jimnj they want us to be the bad guys. Have the Syrians take custody--I don't think we'd need to pay them anything.we just let them know where they are and tell them we/re leaving..come and get them.

This is audio of Gorka interviewing Sara Carter. Worth the 11 minutes of your time.

Among other things, at the end they talk about why the unmasking investigation has been stymied: Obama converted en masse political appointees into civil servants so that they couldn't be pushed out. They are the "fifth column that is countering, that is slow rolling the congressional oversight function that is required by law of the intelligence community," says Gorka. Carter is very determined to stay on them, and she seems convinced that this will blow up within the year. I hope so.

What are the chances that Bezos' estranged wife will have any sort of input in a WaPo settlement talk?

Also, did Sandmann and his lawyers have a choice between filing in DC and KY? I assume they did. I imagine the jury pool is more favorable in KY.

What happens to the legal strategies when you represent a minor? Parental consent? Oh My!

Selling assets to pay down debt is usually a bad idea, unless the buyer pays more than they’re worth.
Well, not really, especially if the debt was for the acquisition of the asset, and the asset is no longer needed.

But, interestingly for the discussion of selling a state, there was some talk about Nevada during the Bundy standoff. Apparently Nevada was allowed into statehood before it qualified, and there was not much homesteading allowed, because the federal government was supposed to SELL those vast federal lands and the funds raised were specifically targeted to pay off debt from fighting the Civil War. Instead the feds just held on to the land, and the debt. And they weren't charging the Bundys enough rent ever through generations because the government is a terrible landlord and should have just sold the land to the Bundys.

We joke about selling a state to the Canadians, but the federal government selling off enough land (to Americans) in the western US so that the percentage of government ownership in the west were brought to be equal to the percent of government ownership in the east, that would make a damn good down-payment on paying off the federal debt. (Although the cronycrats would manage to steal a lot of it. Isn't it Diane Feinstein whose husband has the contract for selling off excess post office property, and has managed to become a mega-gazillionaire from the skim? Maybe when Trump retires in 2024 that can be his post-president job to bust heads and get the maximum amount of money for the Treasury.)
