The Infamous Ignatz

--So what do you guys think is the worst part of the Jussie Smollett Hoax?--

The effin Chicago Po-lice chief whining that lil Jussie made all real victims of hate crimes feel poorly.
How bout all the deplorable people the little prick actually smeared with his bullshit lies?

DrJ

JamesD, heartfelt condolences.

MissMarple2

Iggy,

When I was discussing this Smollett thing with my dem friend today, she agreed it was horrible and a tragedy, etc. etc.

Then she brought up how hate crimes were on the increase, because she had seen that bogus story on TV.

The Infamous Ignatz

James,
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 2;
To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die...

It was your mom's time and her struggles are over. God bless.

The Infamous Ignatz

Maybe she meant hateful little POC progs making up hates crimes, MM. :)

This is the first time I actually read what Smollett told Robin Roberts of Good Morning America:

... “I turned around and I see the attacker masked and he said: ‘This Maga country [bleep]’ and punched me right in the face so I punched his ass right back. We started tussling and it was very icy, we ended up tussling by the stairs, fighting, fighting, fighting.”

A second attacker, Smollett said, started kicking him in the back. “Then it just stopped and they ran off. I saw where they ran off … Then I looked down and I see there was a rope around my neck. I noticed the rope around my neck and I started screaming. There’s a [bleep] rope around my neck!”

What a brave, brave man he is.

He added: “It feels like if I had said it was a Muslim or a Mexican or someone black, I feel like the doubters would have supported me a lot more. That says a lot about the place that we are in our country right now.”

Very brave.

MissMarple2

daddy,

ChiTown suggested to me yesterday that this sounded like a Ben Rhodes script.

daddy

Fuck the Pentagon; it's long past time to bust some of those pricks down to size.

One word in praise of the Pentagon if it's still true, is that many if not most of the Active Duty Military hated being assigned to the Pentagon---definitely so in my Dad's day and also of the guys I knew when I was active. I hope that hasn't changed. "Orders to the Pentagon? Ugh!"

henry

Daddy, through it all the sandwich was unharmed.

Narciso79

Perhaps bill Ayers, since he was all about chaos, van Jones hes also from oakland?

Jane

I am really sick of typepad. I have to sign in every time I post. And often it takes 3 tries. When/if I do get in, it always takes me back to the first page. Is TM sending me a message?

henry

Oh not only was the sand which unharmed... he was on his phone the whole time... it too was not dropped or harmed in this epic exchange of punches. There was Jussie, sandwich in on hand, phone in the other hand, and puchning back with the other er gripping hand (yeah, that’s the ticket). Jussie is either a Motie or an economist.

daddy

Daddy, through it all the sandwich was unharmed.

And the telephone he was holding in his other hand as well, Henry.

A very brave man, indeed.

MissMarple2

Jane,

It always does that when you sign in.

You can get around having to go through every page by posting something on the first page and then hitting the "post another" thing that comes up after you post.

I log in through my Twitter account which is quicker than having to fill bout all the information (name, email, etc.) but it still does that.

Also, I can never predict when I will be logged off, although every time there is a new thread I can count on it.

Narciso79

Anyways getting back to the ostensible subject, the designated apparatchik from the Giffords foundation came from the brennan center and has no expertise with firearms then again he didnt have any with free speech, the answer in both was hulk smash!!

They've lost sight of who they work for &/or why they exist at all. They become insular & they rot.

The only good thing is that Jussie must not have been wearing Nike's, 'cause what with all that "tussling, tussling, tussling," and "fighting, fighting, fighting," if he had been wearing Nike's he might have exploded right thru his sneakers, and who knows how much more punishment he would have received if he was on the ground like Zion Williamson and unable to punch their asses back, even if his attackers had been Mexican's, Muslim's, or Blacks.

Yes, it's human nature, and the profound desire for power, perceived or real.

Which is why Comey and McCabe and now this Fry guy from the IRS must be charged and tried for their crimes. Letting them walk sets a horrendous precedent. No more Lois Lerners! The only hope for minimizing abuse of these bureaucracies is the threat of individual cupability for lawbreaking.

clarice

Sundance thinks there's more on the Fry story. (He has a point--this is the second IRS employee leaking confidential stuff--the first was re Manafort BTW. Maybe they just are Lois Lerner wannabes.)https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/02/21/irs-intelligence-analyst-john-fry-charged-with-leaking-cohen-financial-records-to-creepy-porn-lawyer/

daddy

I suppose the positive thing about this IRS Leaker that nobody can find a picture of, John Fry, is we can be confident that he never previously ever leaked anything to any unauthorized personel, just like that Senate Custodian of Top Secret stuff who got the hand slap for only leaking stuff that one time to that 25 year old NYTimes reporter he was banging.

I think the GOP's refusal to penalize her was a major reason we got DJT.

Stevie Wonder and Tiger Woods meet at a fundraiser.

Woods turns to Wonder and says: "How is the singing career going?"

Stevie Wonder replies: "Not too bad! How's the golf?"

Woods replies: "Not too bad, I've had some problems with my swing, but I think I've got that right now."

Stevie Wonder says: "I always find that when my swing goes wrong, I need to stop playing for a while and not think about it. Then, the next time I play, it seems to be alright."

Tiger Woods says: "You play golf?"

Stevie Wonder says: "Oh, yes, I've been playing for years."

Woods says: "But, you're blind. How can you play golf if you're blind?"

Wonder replies: "I get my caddy to stand in the middle of the fairway and call to me. I listen for the sound of his voice and play the ball towards him. Then, when I get to where the ball lands, the caddy moves to the green or farther down the fairway and again I play the ball towards his voice."

"But, how do you putt?", asks Woods.

"Well," says Stevie, "I get my caddy to lean down in front of the hole and call to me with his head on the ground and I just play the ball towards his voice."

Woods asks: "What's your handicap?"

Stevie says, "Well, I'm a scratch golfer."

Woods, incredulous, says to Stevie: "We've got to play a round sometime."

Wonder replies: "Well, people don't take me seriously, so I only play for money, and never play for less than $10,000 a hole."

Woods thinks about it and says, "OK, I'm game for that, when would you like to play?"

Stevie says, "Your choice, you pick the night."

Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation.. Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. And, after a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, 'Kin ya swallar?' The woman shakes her head no. Then he asks, 'Kin ya breathe?' The woman begins to turn blue and shakes her head no. The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue. The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth. As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to his table. His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I ain't niver seed nobody do it!'

@JussieSmollett - what about MAGA
Several local news left MAGA out of his hoax.

Well, Jussie continues maintaining his innocence.

"Lawyers for “Empire” star Jussie Smollett accused Chicago police of carrying out an “organized law enforcement spectacle” against Smollett hours after the police superintendent claimed the actor staged a hate crime to boost his career.

"In a statement to WGN News and ABC 6, Smollett’s attorneys said their client was an innocent victim who was being targeted by city officials with unwarranted legal action."

How do his attorneys think he can beat this? Guess they're going to blame the brothers. :)

daddy

Before I forget, I think it worth mentioning that at least one if not both of the Nigerian Brothers were also employed over there at FOX on that "Empire" Show. Jussie is apparently back there tonight reading his latest script. I wonder if the 2 Nigerian Brothers will be treated more harshly by the Network than they treat Jussie?

Buckeye,

No, I hadn't heard of Jan Janszoon. Looked him up. Fascinating story.

I think this is headed for overtime. China will offer to buy more stuff from us. I don't see them agreeing to fundamentally rebuild their economy by no longer stealing technology.

daddy

Porch,

I've never read Tristram Shandy which I suppose I should be severely embarrassed about but oh well:(

On the other hand, I did read Giles Milton's White Gold: The Extraordinary Story of Thomas Pellow and North Africa's One Million European Slaves and found it wonderfully interesting, and I believe the primary subject, Thomas Pellew, a young Brit boy captured at age 11 and held for 23 years before freedom, is the grandfather of a famous Brit Admiral. That may possibly be who Narciso is thinking about.

I also just Wiki'd Jan Janszoon--- another fascinating character. I knew Iceland had been raided by Islamic Pirates, but I did not know it was by Janszoon and other Europeans who had converted to Islam. Another interesting piece of the puzzle. And years back Frau suggested I needed to read "Jewish Pirates of the Caribbean," another book I've got in the garage but haven't got to yet. I miss our Frau:(

From MM2's link to German government getting involved with industry,

"Wait! The US gov’t got deeply involved in the medical industry and public education. How are those two doing these days? Or the 2008 bank bailouts (at the cost of trillions to taxpayers). Or green energy (sic) “investments” made by Obama? How much was wasted there? Etc., etc."

The market beats central planning every damn time! Let’s see which industry sectors German government intervention will begin to (or further) ruin. Once gov’t gets its hooks in, they never back off until forced to. That will happen in Germany, too.

What could go wrong? Demonstrating once again that you can vote the Socialists in but you will have to shoot your way out.

In the comments, connecting one more dot,

I truly believe the globalists plan was to take manufacturing jobs away from US totally. The purpose was to destroy our middle class. It would have to happen to bring about NWO. Trump actually stopped this dead in its tracks.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-fed-pivot-insight/a-fed-pivot-born-of-volatility-missteps-and-new-economic-reality-idUSKCN1QB0IK

I feel more comfortable about this policy. Trump was correct to argue withe the FED governors. Raising interest rates and selling off portfolio assets had never been done before. Both tighten the money supply.

A wait and see approach is a better stance. Inflation isn't rampant. And while the economy is growing, unemployment is at historic lows, there are many who would still like to rejoin the economy.

We're also seeing some industries failing in the US. Employees impacted by that will need to find new jobs. Sears employees, Payless Shoe employees, laid-off media workers, etc.

While the economy is doing well, we're still going to see contractions in industries that have lost the ability to compete.

The unemployment rate has become detached from being a leading indicator of inflation.

The idiotic minimum wage levels will destroy more jobs than anything else and the FED will have to learn to consider that.
