Vegan Cory Booker Says Meat Eaters’ Days Are Numbered
Geez, Booker with more raw tofu for his base. Team AOC already put a ten year "sell-by" on America's flatulent cows so I think these New Age progressives are serious. Serious, thoughtful, relatable, and totally in touch with Middle America. (Ooops, did I leave out "electable"?)
American descendants of slaves identifying themselves with the hashtag #ADOS have been openly critical of 2020 presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Cory Booker over the past weeks.
Some prominent black political commentators are now speculating that these critics are Russian bots.
The creators of the hashtag -- Antonio Moore, an attorney in California, and Yvette Carnell, a political commentator -- are neither Russian nor bots and are demanding an apology.

Trump's former lawyer Dowd said that Mueller was really done with Trump around April of 2018, and had no idea why it kept going.
That is because Dowd probably doesn't know what Rosenstein tasked Mueller to do in the redacted parts of the SC appointment letter. If he does know the scope of that then he is just repeating his line in the kabuki script.

Not being a 25th Amendment expert, I found this snippet from "Milhouse" over at Legal Insurrection that seems to sum it all up …
That is simply insane. It makes no sense. Removing a president under the 25th amendment is harder than through impeachment. It requires the same people who are needed for impeachment, plus more.
Impeaching and removing a president requires: a simple majority of the house, plus two thirds of the senate.
Removing a president against his will through the 25th amendment requires: two thirds of the house, plus two thirds of the senate, plus the vice president, plus a majority of the cabinet. If you have all of those on board you don’t need the 25th, you can simply impeach and remove him.
The purpose of the 25th is (1) to remove a president who doesn’t object but can’t resign because he’s in a coma or a straitjacket; or (2) to reluctantly remove a beloved president without having to embarrass him and harm his place in history. Neither of these apply to Trump. He would certainly object to his removal, and those seeking it don’t love him.

With what they have on McCabe already, I think he may be a primary suspect in the IG investigation. He is in deep doo doo. Writing a book is not necessarily a great idea if you are under investigation. It speaks to the incredible arrogance at the top of the FBI and DoJ at the time.
To take a prima facie fabulist dossier as hard evidence without through investigation of the charges and present it as fact to a FISA judge is a felony. To meet and discuss and plan actions in support of that application reeks of conspiracy.
That Ohr himself has misgivings about it should have given pause to any reasonable attorney.

Sometimes a big trophy user can launch the rebirth of an entire submarket, creating jobs and real estate taxes far beyond what is given up in reduced taxes for the trophy who goes first.
Back in the day, Sears could rent anchor stores in new malls for close to nothing for terms of fifty year and the landlords were happy to get them because of the rents they could get from all the small stores who would not be there but for the anchor.
Same thing. Some times.
But very often abused, especially when the user is already there and the area is established, but they threaten the politicians with "leaving" unless they get new after-the-fact concessions. Politicians often lose those negotiations.

The Obama islamist resettlement plan at work:
Harry Lewis
44 mins ·
From the Almanac of American Politics (2018), the discussion of Minnesota politics (in 2016, Hillary Clinton won Minnesota by a razor-thin margin of only 1.5% of the vote) shows that the emergence of a radical Muslim female member of Congress has national implications for the 2020 presidential election: "In 2016, Hillary Clinton was able to win [Minnesota] by only 1.5 percentage points. The narrower margin had less to do with Trump’s gains compared with 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney – Trump added only a few thousand additional votes statewide in 2016 – but rather because Clinton’s vote total fell short of Obama’s by more than 178,000. Obama won 28 Minnesota counties, Clinton won only nine. Many of the counties that shifted from blue to red were small, but the shifts were often massive: A half-dozen counties saw their margins of victory shift toward Trump by between 20 and 36 percentage points. Even some counties that remained Democratic in both elections saw their margins shift sharply toward Trump, including St. Louis County (Duluth), with an 18-point swing, and Carlton County (on the outskirts of Duluth), with a 25-point shift to the GOP. Clinton’s salvation was her continued edge in the more populous Twin Cities region. The margin in Hennepin shifted eight points in Clinton’s direction, and in Ramsey, it shifted toward her by four points; suburban Washington and Dakota counties also remained Democratic, by marginally wider margins. (The regional exception was Anoka County, which went for Romney by two points and Trump by nine.) Both 2016 candidates saw lower raw-vote totals in the five Twin Cities counties, but Trump’s decline was three times as big as Clinton’s. Outside of the Twin Cities, it was a different story: The Democratic vote haul in these predominantly rural areas fell by 155,000, while the GOP’s rose by 82,000. This divide has been quietly fed by partisan divergence on social issues. Ultimately, the election showed how dependent on the Twin Cities the DFL had become – whereas 57 percent of Democratic presidential votes in 2012 came from the Twin Cities, that figure rose to 63 percent in 2016. Expect Minnesota to become an increasingly contested battleground state in the near future."

Good morning,
Narciso, coals to Newcastle: I just happened to do a little research on aspirin the other day and learned that Beyer invented aspirin and Heroin at about the same time. The name Heroin was coined because the inventor thought it was heroic in how well it reduced pain. Of course they had no idea at that time it was addictive. The term 'junkies' was an observation that early users were so desperate to get more, they became junk scroungers to sell scrap to buy more Heroin.
BTW, my search on aspirin was just to see what was the big deal about discouraging its use. Love to hear A-mom's comments, but it appears that, like a lot of other drug usage, there is no payback to the drug companies, so they brainwash the docs to not encourage its use. Except for a very small part of the population who develop gastric distress/bleeding, there is no downside, but a huge upside for preventing strokes/heart attacks.
daddy, re Ginger Baker, I may have told the story before, but I may have seen the very last concert performed by Cream. It was ~68 in Phx and most of the crowd (who were stoned out of their minds) were there for Ginger, not Clapton. Ginger had two HUGE bass drums standing on their sides and tipped out on each side of him. I have never seen pix or reference to that bazaar setup. Could have been part of the craziness that helped break up the band.

It was the only lull in the crappy WX out here, but there were still a lot of sloppy road conditions on the secondary roads and most side streets were mostly unpassable. When we got up on the Canada 1 main highway, there were an amazing number of abandoned vehicles on the very wide median between east/west lanes. Most were deep enough in the snow, I don't think they will be recovered until Spring. More than a few tractor trailer rigs jackknifed in the mess. All single vehicle events, so apparently some combination of wind/slippery surface conditions that launched them after a brake tap. (No guardrails on the inside edge of the traffic lanes next to the berm space.)

Do Rs have just a one-vote majority on the Judiciary committee? And as I recall, the full Senate can still vote on Rao?

daddy,
Did you go to Rendezvous? Best ribs I've ever had and I live in central Texas!

Just one of many bits of corruption that Trump has been working to clean out but, of course, had to do a court battle to prevail.

Regarding the post, Booker is a fraud even by donk politician standards.
Probably why he is running for president and why the others are.

Booker is a fraud even by donk politician standards.
I think less so than Obama, who was able to speak for hours and say nothing but platitudes, and the crowd would go wild. Corey tries, but has the habit of opening his mouth and revealing himself to be the fool he really is.

Speaking of frauds, Jake's standup act is as unfunny as Ellen's:

I've been there many time Porch. Great chow---"Dry" ribs their speciality. I am a fan of Bar B Que in pretty much any form it comes. On the plane they give us Corky's Bar B Que which is "Wet" ribs, but we have to eat them judiciously since they scrimp on the sauce on our airplane Meals.

Hoyden,
I'd love to go there but I am a very lazy creature of habit. Currently they put us up in a hotel way out east of Memphis which is why all I ever do is walk to the Happy Mexican and get snockered on Margaritas. We used to stay in Whitehaven and I'd walk to Houston or the Belmont Grill, and I know a fab fried chicken joint was across the tracks but I was too lazy to take a cab or rent a car.

daddy,
Do you use Uber?
Very convenient.

Dry ribs, yum. That's the way I like 'em. Whole place smells like Lawry's seasoned salt, in a good way.
