I don't see how Fairfax survives the two allegations. This situation is just like the Kavanaugh mess, except for being totally different. Each woman is clear about the time and place and the Duke accuser identified friends in who she had confided at the time. At least one has come forward:

A college friend of Ms. Watson’s, Kaneedreck Adams, said in an interview that Ms. Watson told her she was raped the day after she said it happened, and named Mr. Fairfax as her assailant.

“She was upset, she was kind of crying quietly and she said that she had been raped” by Mr. Fairfax, Ms. Adams said.

“I said, ‘Did you say no?’ and she said, no she couldn’t say no,” Ms. Adams said. “And she said she was trying to get out of there, get away, remove herself from the situation, and she said Justin kept pushing her down.”

If they really happened as described, the women failed to protect others from the same perp by failing to go to the police. The office of democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has deleted a supplemental document explaining how to implement her "Green New Deal" that called for a jobs guarantee even for those "unwilling to work" and the elimination of "farting cows" and airplanes.

Robert Hockett, a Cornell law professor and adviser to Ocasio-Cortez, appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News on Friday and claimed Republicans doctored official documents that came directly from the congresswoman's office.

Many fans apparently believed him. I don't think the Dem elders did.

Hockett again deflected when Carlson asked him about the plan's goal of eliminating airplanes by building "high-speed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary."

"I don't know where you got that either," Hockett said. "Where's the airplane disappearance coming from?"

It comes from an official frequently-asked-questions document released by Ocasio-Cortez's office when the Green New Deal was released and was circulated by NPR. The document has since been deleted from Ocasio-Cortez's website. There are no longer any press releases or content on the Green New Deal on her media page—only a release on her swearing in earlier this year.

An archive of the page, however, clearly shows Ocasio-Cortez circulated the information that the Green New Deal would provide jobs for those "unwilling to work."

Matt Whitlock, a senior adviser to the NRSC, accused Ocasio-Cortez of "gaslighting" the public by pretending a document put out by her office never existed.

By the way, was it you who recommended a spoon (from amazon) on jom some months ago? I got one and really love it. Can't remember what it's called (will go look) but it has a crook in the handle so you can set it on the side of the pan and don't have to worry with a spoon rest.

Also, I think it was Extraneous who recommended a knife sharpener last summer and I really, really love it. First time in years I've had sharp knives.

That's another thing jom is ace about -- besides you guys' beer recommendation (which I don't follow but do read) -- the neat tips about various things. :)
