Gotta admit, I'm quite surprised to see the tremendous antagonism toward Tom R. I have no idea the transgressions that have occurred, but . . . my goodness. I must have missed a hell of a lot.

When Henry and I met at Jane's place months ago I told him we were clearly (IMHO) seeing something of a Spy vs Spy contest, roughly approximated as DIA vs CIA and . . . with the election of Trump, the DIA had largely won that battle.

But anyone here currently putting forward something like "Trump said *this* to Haberman," or "Dowd said *this* about Mueller" as somehow having *any* kind of dismissal of the 4D chess notion . . . well, are you kidding ???

We're deep in the midst of disinformation battles in this Spy vs Spy (and look, that's merely shorthand; it's much more than that) but there are things we cannot know -- and people either in the Trump Administration or working in support of it have designed things that way.

Does anyone here *seriously* take issue with that?

Given the use of disinformation to create a fog, we can't be certain of much right now. Including whether Tom R is barking up the right or wrong tree. Whatever his delivery or style, it would be good to remember that.

* * *

Rich, the last time I recall coming back here you posted something about a matter I apparently did not address. Remind me now and I will address, presuming I can remember what the issue.

Narciso79

It was in a ironic sense, I guess he could always send the army to occupy Turkey's biggest cities.

Narciso79

Yes rg in broad strokes it was general Flynn, col Harvey, Cohen ratnicl et al vs brennan Clapper price haddad...I had to go running man, but what has happened since.

rich

wonder what the 4d move was to see that piece of shit in congress ... win by losing?

losing by alot to lose just a little more.

rich

>>>Does anyone here *seriously* take issue with that?<<<

i do take issue with it.

in re: the issue not addressed it was a clip of some economics nonsense you had brought over from a twitter post. let me look at some notes for what specifically it was.

RattlerGator

Very good. I don't remember signing off on some economics stuff here as somehow correct. Food for thought, perhaps. I'll be interested to see what it was.

As for 4D, I think you're clueless how the claim is used (or weaponized, so to speak). An anal-retentive approach to 4D will get you nowhere and that's just as well.

Narciso79

See you can pull off the enterprise trick against reliant but you have to firs the phasers at some time.

rich

this was the mash up of notes i came up with RG ...

>>>>>>When is RG getting back here to discuss economic matters in response to that Twitter chunk he upchucked on the last thread?

>>>Posted by: RattlerGator | June 19, 2018 at 03:31 PM

regarding the end of the dollar etc<<<

Was working on catch up and hopelessly behind. a belated happy birthday.

The tweets you posted from others is a cartoonish take on the US dollar as a reserve currency-and its end or reduction isn't going to be the Apocalypse Soon the cartoonish anti-fed-ers make it out to be.

more on this later.

Posted by: rich | June 20, 2018 at 01:41 PM

and i need to get my comment posted for RG ...

the US exports 2.3 trillion in goods and services and imports 2.9 trillion in goods and services.

the dollars held as reserve stand at about 65% of the world total dwarfing everyone else. the nearest competition the Euro is about 20%, and for the data set I found, it is less than the sum of the individual currencies back a decade or so ago (people held marks and francs)-but this is a minor difference. The next is the renminbi but one just needs to look at Sudan and Zimbabwe for what an economic relationship with China would look like (strip mine the assets and fund terror groups to kill off those who would object).

Posted by: rich | June 22, 2018 at 12:26 AM

after that bit of throat clearing ... the dollar as a reserve currency has costs and benefits. the cost is the mercantilism of Europe and Asia and a benefit is low and stable interest rates. however, nothing prevents KSA from selling oil (a single example) in any currency-including gold and silver-to any buyer they would like to do business with. Aramco sells oil in yen, won, dollars, and euros ... the point being, their cost structure is overwhelmingly dollars as the industry is overwhelmingly dollars. this is another benefit which accrues to us-seigniorage.

Posted by: rich | June 22, 2018 at 12:38 AM

one of the downsides is that economic crises become foreign policy and national security concerns ... see the Asian Financial Crisis and the Sunshine policy and more recently Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

i feel like burning washington dc down ...

So what's happening?
Let's rehash my humble opinion.

In 2008 the Fed put America on life support by printing trillions of dollars.

It was meant to make us feel ok as they gutted us & put us on a collision course with destiny, the end of the Dollar as world reserve currency.

i am holding in my hands scholarly translations of the prince and the art of war ... i'd be interested in which sections i'd need to review for the 4d take such as it is.

i'll even concede it was a 4d move by trump ... let the assets the obama administration wanted in his campaign to sniff around some minor players but use a pretty strong stiff arm to have kept them away. Melinda

I told TomR I would not discuss the implications of the Swedbank laundry for not the reasons that might be taken at first glance, that he was wrong. He’s not, just short of financial scope.

The corruption that’s being attempted to thwart exists in so many corners has been brought forward to the light. Brexit and Italian insouciance stops their theft, and threatens everything. The institutionalized money laundering by over 500 banks worldwide exemplifies the two state system that exists for not only us as US citizens, but globally. I knew it existed. What I didn’t know was the depth of the plan to end it.

What I see in this new war differs from anything I’ve ever seen attempted yet stark when highlighted. The enemy of all of us are led to make choices, small, easy ones at first. The choices are the game, leading them down a path of unrecoverable steps that leaves them totally enisled on the last ridiculous choice, like AOC’s ‘Not Ready For Prime Time” Green Plan.

Lies are part of the game, the results, however, speak for themselves.

Best. Game. Ever.

RattlerGator

rich, the only thing you need to know to accept the 4D play is this:

“The whole secret lies in confusing the enemy, so that he cannot fathom our real intent.”

deceit and deception the notes on p.136 are instructive:

Kabuki:

THE DAILY CALLER: “Sir, do you think, since Mueller has passed the Sept. 1 deadline now, do you think he’s interfering in the election?”

POTUS: “Well, I view it as an illegal investigation. It should’ve never been started. It should’ve never been allowed to start. You know, I’m not the target of this investigation, just in case you don’t realize. But I view it as being illegal for many reasons. Some of which are that, number one there was no crime and number two everybody was conflicted, including Mueller. There were, I mean tremendous conflicts here, you know the conflicts, you’ve heard the conflicts.”

THE DAILY CALLER: “Speaking of one which you cited, I’d like to know, you said you interviewed Mueller for FBI director.”

POTUS: “Sitting right in that chair.”

THE DAILY CALLER: “What did you think during the interview?”

POTUS: “I liked him, but I didn’t give him the job?”

THE DAILY CALLER: “Why?”

POTUS: “But I had a business dispute with Mueller before that. I had a real business dispute. And he’s Comey’s best friend. And I could give you 100 pictures of him and Comey hugging and kissing each other. You know, he’s Comey’s best friend. How can you possibly have a man who is that, and then somebody from his law firm came out and said, ‘I can’t believe they picked Mueller. He hates the president. He hates the president.’ So that’s four things, that’s four, then you have the conflicts of the people — you know I call them the 17 angry Democrats, I guess they’re being lowered down now. It’s incredible when you look at Weissman and all these people. Some of the people work for the Hillary Clinton foundation. It’s an incredible thing. Honestly, people are very angry about it. People that love our country are very angry about it. So, I consider it to be an illegal investigation. It should’ve never been allowed to have happened.”

Tom's powers of persuasion need some work and I'm pretty much on his side. In his defense this isn't an easy thing to discuss while there are still so many unknowns which is why I don't discuss it here until all is known.

Hard to persuade people whose minds are already made up with no intentions of listening to or considering other possible explanations for what is going on. You are 100% correct about there still being so many unknowns. I think Mueller is working with Trump based on the dots I have connected but I at least acknowledge that due to all the unknown variables I could be wrong on that.

The dot connecting DawsonSField did in that tweet thread I linked definitely moved the needed in the direction of working with Trump. It explains why the Mueller SC took so long and what has been one of the main focuses of the investigation (perhaps the classified redacted part of the Rosenstein appointment memo). Of course my confirmation bias affects my agreement with his tweets. One reason I posted it here was to see if anyone had a logical counterpoint to point out he was full of crap. I haven't read one post from anyone that leads me to question that guy's analysis.
