big surprise that.

most of them probably agree with the green leap forward but it would be too hard to lie about it back home. burning down the gop should be the primary goal.

rich, it seems the key qualifications for Congress are "stupid and easily controlled"

Wouldn't it be fun if AOC goes to jail for defrauding all those idiots who love her?

The last of my 3 nieces leaves today. All Pro-Trump - all fabulous - best birthday present evah!

got that right.

not going to happen.

FBI investigating assassination threat against Rep. Ilhan Oman

An image posted on Instagram last month shows the words “Assassinate Ilhan Omar” in black in the men’s room at a Holiday gas station in Rogers, Minn.

The ominous graffiti gained traction in social media when the freshman congresswoman tweeted about the Instagram post on Friday.

“No wonder why I am on the ‘Hitlist’ of a domestic terrorist and ‘Assassinate Ilhan Omar’ is written on my local gas stations,” she wrote.

“Look no further, the GOP’s anti-Muslim display likening me to a terrorist rocks in state capitols and no one is condemning them!” she added along with a link to an NBC News article about an anti-Muslim display in the West Virginia statehouse.

White House fires out a scathing response to Nadler and Democrats over investigation into Trump

"Today, Chairman Nadler opened up a disgraceful and abusive investigation into tired, false allegations already investigated by the Special Counsel and committees in both Chambers of Congress," Sanders said in the statement.

"Chairman Nadler and his fellow Democrats have embarked on this fishing expedition because they are terrified that their two-year false narrative of 'Russia collusion' is crumbling," she continued. "Their intimidation and abuse of American citizens is shameful."

"Democrats are harassing the President to distract from their radical agenda of making America a socialist country, killing babies after they're born, and pushing a 'green new deal' that would destroy jobs and bankrupt America," Sanders continued in the statement.

"The American people deserve a Congress that works with the President to address serious issues like immigration, healthcare, and infrastructure," she added. "The Democrats are more interested in pathetic political games and catering to a radical, leftist base than on producing results for our citizens."

"The Democrats are not after the truth, they are after the President," Sanders concluded.

If the Minnesota GOP wasn't a gaggle of hapless idiots, they'd be comparing the script to Keith X's handwriting.

NY Times Backs Up Trump’s “Duct-Taped Women at the Border” Claim

Another Trump “lie” about issues at the southern border crossing turns out to be the truth.

Happy Fat Tuesday! I've decided to be wine free during Lent. It isn't a matter of giving up something, just more of a personal challenge.

We should set up a Justin of Canada resignation pool. :)

Justin is as likely to resign as his "true" father.

Not surprised

I keep seeing Hillary saying, Why am I not up by 50 points?

James Woods
#HillaryClinton lost the 2016 election. #Democrats, who’ve based their entire lives on the “participation trophy” paradigm, simply cannot accept this fact. It was “her turn,” and they are going to throw an eight-year tantrum in the cereal aisle, come hell or high water.

Fabulous Twitter thread explaining how driving for Uber saved this gal's financial life.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

The greatest overreach in the history of our Country. The Dems are obstructing justice and will not get anything done. A big, fat, fishing expedition desperately in search of a crime, when in fact the real crime is what the Dems are doing, and have done!

(I guess AOC has been badmouthing it and Lyft)

After campaign finance disclosures showed she & staff spent around $70K on them during the campaign vs. around $5K for metro cards, even though the campaign office was around 100' from a metro station.

As a former Episcopalian I don't remember having to give up anything for Lent like the mackerel snappers did, other than fasting on Good Friday and maybe Ash Wednesday and an odd day like Shrove Tuesday. Since I've already given up using see you next Tuesday for a-mom I don't feel the need for any further curb of profanity. I could probably join Marlene in giving up wine since I don't usually drink it despite having a small collection in the basement that I've accumulated over time from gifts. I'm not giving up bashing Jeff Sessions after DJT blasted that worthless codger at CPAC.

Fuck it, I'm not giving up anything.

I believe it’s her fellow congressman that have been
saying collusion collusion.

.@AOC: "While [President Trump's] talking collusion, collusion, collusion, I think, in Oversight, we should be talking about taxes, taxes, taxes, and his bank account, his bank account, his bank account. His financial statements, statements, statements."

Illinois, in contrast, is the nation’s worst-rated by all three credit rating agencies. And it’s just one notch from being rated junk by Moody’s and S&P. Illinois is the financial deadbeat of the country.

Bugatti unveils the most expensive new car ever built

That's less gruesome than others, but modern Bugatti really can't make a good looking car.
In fact what they now make are in most respects the antithesis of Ettore's true calling. He did make a few vast, garish boats, but his heart and soul were small, light, simple, elegant jewels on wheels.

OK, report from the front--my momma, a faithful CBS Morning show watcher, who thinks Gail and Nora hung the moon.
So that's where she gets her "News."

We spoke Sunday, and I was updating her on my former partner's activities. Retired partner will be testifying today at the NM legislature (hopefully; Ds delayed her testimony Thursday) to graphically describe exactly how these late second semester elective baby murders go down. So, of course, I said--"like that bill they passed in NY" And of course, that was the first momma had heard of it---so I told her about it, as well as the proposed VA one, with it's killing live, birthed babies.

She is SHOCKED! "Who is behind this???"

This morning I had to call her again, and she reported she went w my sister and her Lutheran minister husband last evening to see their college man and his choir (on tour) perform at his old boarding school, where my brother's son is senior.

"So I asked SIL if he knew about this, and he said no. " (That's not exactly true--but maybe a good way to get somebody to express their opinion first???) "And he was just as shocked as I am."

I think I may have gotten us a vote!!!---or at least the issue that is finally going to make her examine the Ds policies a bit more carefully. Because having all five of her kids vote R hasn't done it.

(And turning people who do vote for the other side is worth TWO votes, according to an Instapundit post yesterday!)

Not quite as miraculous as MM's daughter finally seeing the light, but that's made me hopeful.

Captain Hate

Much as I hate to say it, because I like him, but I think that's a commentary that Cruz has a lot of intangibles that turn people off. I think that has a side benefit in making the donks think that a borderline retarded buck toothed fake Mexican mick is a lot more popular than he really is.

I think it's telling that Beto chose not to challenge Cornyn, but instead is going to launch a (nearly) completely pointless campaign for president.

If Texas was really that close to trending blue, Beto would be able to take the momentum from his near win against Cruz and take out Cornyn, right?

Well, it turns out that a lot of Republicans just don't like Cruz.

OK, I am back up!

Henry, Thanks for grabbing those tweets!

anonamom, That abortion thing is really a vote-changer. It horrifies people. If you can find the video of them CHEERING about it, you will get her vote, I would wager.

Clever there, bud!

You can watch The Favorite though, and get all you want of it. Girl-to-girl use though, so meets w my approved usage standards.
(If you do watch it, please explain the end to us. I can't remember who does still see movies. I'm guessing NOT you though.)

I'm not sure what I am going to do. Spouse says "we already did Dry January."

And that beautiful John Shroeder column someone posted about Lent in the times of such darkness is truly inspirational.

The writer of Hebrews tells us that joy is found, even in injustice, by an eternal, long term perspective. And in Acts we find that joy goes hand-in-hand with the presence of God’s Holy Spirit.

I think it is safe to conclude that not only will being upbeat and joyful help us help the world, but it is a necessary outcome of our close relationship with the Lord.

This year for Lent I think we should give up playing defense and start to play offense. But not the sort of militaristic offense you see in football or military action – rather an offense of positivity and life, marked by joy. I think this would be a great Lenten theme song.

Captain Hate

I'm here for you, a-mom!

Cruz has more than an intangible problem with voters. He did irreparable harm to himself by embracing the lunatic Glenn Beck and rushing stuffed door prizes to the army of invaders that were rushing his own Texas border. Being a dick about Trump winning the nomination didn't help either. And a marriage to a Goldman Sachs fatcat? This guy has real problems.

His El Chapo bill was grandstanding at best. (Like most of his smoke and mirror stuff; "I put a poison pill in the immigration bill that really wasn't a poison pill.")

I could go on.

After Mark Levin wrapped himself in a Ted Cruz flag (thanks to Mark's daughter working for Ted's campaign), the obvious regarding Cruz gets overlooked.

A-mom. Would you mind posting the ginger potion again? I am finally in what appears to be a long recovery from the flu. It was terrible.

I ran across this on the FB photo of Larry, Curly & Moe at the east village pub the other night (daddy, Peter & jimmyk). This is jimmyk's daughter, Natalie, singing “Deh Vieni Non Tardar” from Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro". I hope jimmyk doesn't mind me posting because it is brilliant, and he should be so proud.
