Still way behind! It took awhile just to find out that the AG had delivered his report.

Captain Hate:

"I could still be wrong about Rosenstein, because of unknown things, but that's where I've planted my flag."

Just for starters, I planted my flag on the fact that Rosenstein gave a thumbs up to the fraudulent FISA Court filings, appointed a special counsel without the requisite evidence of an underlying crime, and cut off an important challenge to the scope of Mueller's powers, in the Manafort trial, by intervening to claim that he had verbally widened the SP's purview in secret. There's more, but as far as I'm concerned those facts alone are some bad legal juju, whether or not he was an active participant in the cabal trying to bring the president down. I, personally, suspect protecting himself has been a major piece of his calculations.

CNN can still do good reporting when they stay away from politics. I wish daddy were here to read this:

That's my assessment as well, Steph...

--Some subtle digs are allowed.--

There wasn't anything particularly subtle about it. It was a plain old dig, which I consider preferable to the subtle ones which allow one to act like they are innocent and being picked on by the other party who is not being so subtle.

MM,

In bed but why would you believe anything from CNN? I believe they are totally corrupt inside out, and this reports only provide a thin layer of truth to the total distortion and destruction of one Donald J. Trump.

Captain Hate

JMH,

Rosenstein has urged Jim Jordan to withhold judgement on him on FISA until the IG Report on it comes out. I have no idea what's there but he seemed very confident it will exonerate him. I'm trusting it will contain something convincing one way or another.

Trump has kept him in place for a longer period of time than others for some reason...

BREAKING: A Pulitzer-winning reporter is preparing to write a major journalism review examining how the mainstream media elite got the Russia "collusion" story so wrong

--Humblebrag violation?-

Nah. I'm saying every one I have taken seems slanted toward how my brain operates so I'm questioning their accuracy.
I am a little peeved Jack would doubt I'm smarter than the average lawyer however. :P

MissMarple2

Jsck,

You do have a point. I waffled about posting that article, but sine it was about archaeology and not political, I thought maybe they had a reporter who was off doing actual reporting.

Probably should just avoid them, but I found it really interesting.

Beasts of England

JM Hanes captures my thoughts on the Rodster quite well. I'd only add that the poor feller is in miles over his head - intellectually, emotionally and analytically.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

New thread, but I agree with Steph's appraisal too.

In case you doubt that pain is coming for the dems, a reminder from the campaign. Video at the link.

I guess I didn't really need to say "new thread" since JMH just posted a long, thoughtful comment. :)

You know I'm just kidding, Ig! And for what it's worth, the spatial tests I've taken online yielded about 140. I found one a few years ago that was linguistics-based and the result was closer to 160; which is in line with the proctored evaluation I took at age ten...

AB:

Mueller claims not to have exonerated the Prez on the obstruction, but if you look back at the last sentence Tom Bowler bolded, I think he actually makes it pretty clear that there's no there, there.

...while not determinative, the absence of such [collusion] evidence bears upon the President's intent with respect to obstruction.
I.e. since the President didn't collude with Russia, he had no motive to obstruct the investigation. After throwing a bone to the left, by claiming he can't exonerate the Prez, he then essentially exonerates him.

GUS

The entire FULL COMMIE LEFT is spewing the same tripe about the AMERICAN PUBLIC needing to see the whole MUELLER REPORT.

Not a single one of them has acknowledged that the entire COUP ATTEMPT was indeed a RODHAM set up.
NOT A ONE. It's now all about the firing of COMEY, somehow OBSTRUCTING an investigation into something that never happened. NO CONCERN ABOUT FISA SPYING at all.

TomR:

I saw the photo. It looks like a security detail to me. Yes you added a caveat, but you might want to dig a little deeper before extrapolating from a blurry photo which includes a tall guy with dark hair -- from behind! If you're talking about a different photo where you can make out any sort of distinguishing features, please feel free to point me to it. If Comey were there, it would certainly be news -- he'd make sure of it -- so it shouldn't difficult to confirm, before launching yet another fanciful tale.

If you really think about it the concept of the prenuptial agreement is thousands of years old. The only real innovation was lawyers figuring out how to get in the middle of them.

If you don't believe me I cite Jacob v Laban.

JM Hanes

I don't know if this has already been posted, but Dershowitz lays into Mueller and makes some interesting points about what is and isn't a prosecutor's job.

JM Hanes

Oops. Wrong thread.
