Keep your reading glasses handy! The 400 page Mueller report is due at, presumably with the 9:30 AM (Eastern) press conference.
The only certainty: in those 400 pages there will be material that inspires the "Impeach Now!" crowd as well as material that enrages those who want the senior FBI and DoJ leadership who instigated and this investigation locked up.
The first casualty of 24/7 media (and Twitter) is context.

As found in my inbox this morning, on topic:
Even after Mueller, the war continues in DC.
Don’t expect Trump to get any of his agenda items through Congress. Trump’s promises to replace the Affordable Care Act, invest in infrastructure, and cut middle class taxes have been essentially shelved.
The Democrats refuse to cooperate on anything in hopes of using that against him in 2020.
Essentially, what this means is that Government has simply ceased to exist and what’s left resembles a married couple deadlocked in a bitter divorce.
If you’ve been divorced, you know what I mean.
It ain’t pretty and it won’t end well.
We’re looking at the end-game for Western civilization. There is just no going back.
Government has become a battle to see which side can destroy civilization first.
Websters defined civilization is as: “refinement of thought, manners, or taste.”
How much of that do you see in Washington anymore?
Civilization is everyone coming together because the sum is greater than the individuals.
Today, it’s all about the individuals and there is no longer any cohesive sum that is greater.
While the Dems have officially killed the Trump agenda, what they fail to understand is that this is also the destruction of their agenda as well.
There will no longer be a government of ALL the people. It’s now a government of us vs. them.
It’s a classic case of how civilization dies.
It defeats the entire purpose of forming societies. Politics has become a confrontation to impose tyranny upon your opponent.
The very core of socialism is to deny individual freedom. The state comes first – the individual second. Everything the American Revolution stood for is now completely overturned.
I have offered the author a rental on The Ledge.

THIS, from A-Bob last night:
"“one that won't change many, if any, minds”
Yep. Will be watching from the Ledge as usual, expecting no big blowout."
And Jane, re Hannity last night... Biggest tease I have encountered since girls I dated in high school, and usually with the same result.

Anything in the Mueller report related to an obstruction of justice charge that documents stuff we already know Trump publicly said or tweeted should be greeted with a “So what?” Who cares about how many times Trump sent out a “witch hunt” tweet? We already know what he said to Comey about LTG Flynn’s case.
Unless Trump did something we don’t know about yet that might constitute obstruction of justice I’m guessing the parts of the Mueller report on obstruction of justice will be a nothingburger.

Mueller decided he could not come to a conclusion on the question of obstruction because it was difficult to determine Trump’s intent and because some of his actions could be interpreted innocently,
Perhaps my confirmation bias is kicking in but that does not sound like the actions someone would take if they were a corrupt Deep State prosecutor trying to destroy Trump.
PS. One of the authors of that article (Barrett) was who Strzok/Page leaked to. He might be one of Nunes criminal referrals for receiving illegal leaks.

Er, so therefore there's no evidence of obstruction and he should have concluded as much, especially as he concluded there was no evidence of an underlying crime that would motivate obstruction, and failed to note anything that was ever actually obstructed.

This follows the pattern of the accusations and firings of the White House Travel Office back in the early days of the Clinton Administration.
Set yourself up as the virtuous one while falsely accusing innocent people. Get rid of them and put in your own people as a reward.
Only this is writ large. And were they going to accuse Pence as well?
This seems to not have been well thought out.
Posted by: MissMarple2 | April 18, 2019 at 09:09 AM
MM,
My opinion (just my opinion) is that they needed to take Trump down because he wasn't part of the deep state, indebted to no one, and they didn't want him to see what was going on. The others (politicians - all) they had enough on to keep them in line (on both sides)
Which is precisely why I want a new law that prohibits anyone in office (except a 1 term president) to be allowed to run for President.

I believe it started in April of 2011. That was the famous Zippy & Seth Meyers roasting of Trump, who was in attendance, over his birther comments. I know it was the catalyst for his decision to run in 2018.
Hell, it may have even been sooner, knowing how thin a skin Zippy owns. I can see him with the Ferret discussing how to get even with Trump. IRS? Illegal's working on his projects? Get Brennan and Comey on the Phone?
Find the date Trump made his birther comments and that is the most likely starting point.
