Another synagogue shooting. Reality is kind of beat right now. I'd rather noodle over The Avengers, or Game of Thrones, or whether the Good Celtics can continue to contain the Freak, or the success of the Yankee Triple-A lineup - escapism, basically.
I'm not completely clear in my mind what his CV included, but Rich wouldn't be bored doing this:

So expecting a truthful article from him or his editors might be wasting my time just a bit. I post that because Rattner deserves a lot of cell time.

Question #4 was the repeated assertion that Mueller was interviewing for the Directorship. It's an MFM-based assumption/falsehood that, I believe, the WH has conveniently, yet deliberately left unchallenged. Mueller's 2 year extension to his initial 10 yr term was written by Grassley, on the condition his name would never be reintroduced. No way DJT, nor Kelly, would not know that.

The NRA is under siege by Cuomo and the New York State A.G., who are illegally using the State’s legal apparatus to take down and destroy this very important organization, & others. It must get its act together quickly, stop the internal fighting, & get back to GREATNESS - FAST!
....People are fleeing New York State because of high taxes and yes, even oppression of sorts. They didn’t even put up a fight against SALT - could have won. So much litigation. The NRA should leave and fight from the outside of this very difficult to deal with (unfair) State!

Victor Davis Hanson: The Adolescent Progressive Mind
One of the strangest things about the series of psychodramas that surround the ongoing effort to remove President Trump before the 2020 election is progressive schizophrenia. In teenage fashion, one moment a player in the Trump removal intrigue is deemed by the media-progressive nexus a demigod. The next moment, he’s a devil. It depends solely on his perceived sense of utility.

Students kill themselves after flunking tests now probed for ‘technical glitches’
Posted by: Extraneus | April 29, 2019 at 10:08 AM
Yes. I now remember that, but what I thought then is different than what I believe now.
It's Maggie, who's been proven to be a FusionGPS outlet.
The distinction being in what I've learned since then is how DJT and his team will plant a lie, or in this case, willfully inflame bias within the MFM for their own use later. And it's not even the MFM they're inflaming, but Glenn Simpson and his group (plus others like it), second hand. Misinformation, in both directions, rules the day. It's unavoidable, but it's a tactic on the MFM's own turf. Citing the press, or the press' account of an interview may or may not be accurate anymore. Do I trust Maggie Haberman or her editors to accurately cite an interview subject, or will they alter the words slightly, to better emphasize the true tenor of the moment? They've admitted it.
So why tell them the hard truth in the first place?
Or, was it the goal of others to reintroduce Mueller as Director to give better cover to McCabe, et al, and finish the coup?
That's where I am this AM.
You and I both know DJT fluffs the MFM. They, in turn, knowingly repeat the part they want to use, true or not. Playing to the bias leads to ridiculous outcomes, eventually.
Bottom line, the lie serves a purpose of which I have no idea, nor am I privy to. Yet it's out there, and it is in no way clear why, nor will it.
It's like quantum superposition, where both exist, yet neither can be proven "to be" at the exact same time.

Bob Mueller was a great HERO to the Radical Left Democrats. Now that the Mueller Report is finished, with a finding of NO COLLUSION & NO OBSTRUCTION (based on a review of Report by our highly respected A.G.), the Dems are going around saying, “Bob who, sorry, don’t know the man.”
Posted by: MissMarple2 | April 29, 2019 at 11:12 AM
I just believe President Trump's true approval rating is higher than 48%.
Posted by: Momto2 | April 29, 2019 at 11:15 AM
fdcol63,
I am convinced Trump's poll numbers are higher for 2 reasons:
1. Polling organizations poll more democrats.
2. A lot of Trump supporters prefer to remain anonymous.
Trump was EXTREMELY popular in this country until he declared as a Republican. I don't think that many people changed their minds about him just due to his running. In fact, he brought voters over from the democrats.
I will say his maintaining his popularity despite a 2 1/2 year barrage by the press is remarkable. No other possible GOP president could have withstood that. His base is loyal and will not be swayed, which only causes the dems and the media to get even more frantic.

" ... For the life of me I can’t figure out why some people take Trump 100% literally knowing that he engages in deception as part of his strategy ..."
I'm all for a POTUS punching back in the face of MSM bias, and I know that sometimes one needs to be "circumspect" and "evasive" and hold one's cards close to the vest" to keep from exposing not just national security secrets and strategy but that of electoral campaigns, as well.
But I really don't want a POTUS who openly lies and is deceptive as a matter of daily principle.
Posted by: fdcol63 🇺🇸 | April 29, 2019 at 11:39 AM
Fdcol63:
All’s fair in love and war. Trump is leading the way fighting an existential war against the Deep State Swamp, the pro-Marxist Progressive/SJWs, and the Wall Street corporate globalists for the future of the country. I don’t think it would be a smart idea on his part to be 100% fully transparent and tells our political enemies what his plans are.
Posted by: Tom R | April 29, 2019 at 11:45 AM
Tom, there's a difference between "not being 100% transparent" and being deceptive.
We have to be able to trust a POTUS. If he lies to us consistently to defeat the Deep State, how will we really know he's not lying to us afterwards, about anything?
I'm not saying I expect Trump to obey the Queenbury Rules while the MSM and Dems sucker-punch him.
But I would prefer that he not lie to us and everyone else on a daily basis.
"The ends justify the means" is an argument that excuses a lot of evil.

The President has kept his promises to me. On those things, he tells the truth.
On the Sessions recusal and Mueller being considered for FBI, it really doesn't matter to me. If you start thinking about it, you start going around in circles. Why was Mueller interviewed, since both the transition people (including Sessions) and Mueller himself knew he couldn't take the job?
On this we get back into whose side Mueller was and/or is on, and we won't know for a while. The confusion does seem to keep the press agitated, which may be the point.
I choose to watch events like this is a mystery/adventure movie, which it is, in a way.

Standard private sector practice to interview past holders of a job to get a feel for what works, and what that person thinks of various replacements / former underlings. As routine as it gets.

Henry @ 11:56
Lets stipulate your scenario is exactly 100% the truth behind the meeting with Mueller. Why would Trump blatantly lie about something as innocuous and routine as getting Mueller’s opinion on who should be the next FBI Director?

Can't figure out what you are apologizing for (or what Jib is saying is for me) so don't worry about it.

fdcol63: But I really don't want a POTUS who openly lies and is deceptive as a matter of daily principle.
Trump is very precise in what he promises and very clear when he refers to it.
He is very cagey when he is negotiating. Do not confuse the two.
The MSM, bless their hearts, conflates to two to undermine Trump. They do it on purpose. It shows they have no respect for their readers.
I have no problem the way Trump operates. I have learned what to trust. ... And that includes nothing the other side has to say.
Drain the swamp!

I want to re-emphasize how people should really pay attention to what he says at rallies or those impromptu press availabilities when he's on his way to Marine One.
He made a reference during the rally Saturday about being unpredictable, and that no one could figure out what he's doing, which is how he likes it.
At the beginning, he spoke about getting to the bottom of the shooting at the synagogue, then said there was a lot of stuff in this country that they were going to get to the bottom of.
I also noticed that he was very definitive at the NRA when he said "we caught them."

Jane,
I posted the 25 Question link without refreshing and thought it was Momto2. Then realized it was you who linked it first.
There are many ways to look at the so-called Mueller interview. For example, maybe Mueller didn’t know HE was being interviewed but that was the thrust of Trump’s discussion. I had a similar experience in a ad hock meeting with my old firm’s CEO and 2 directors. I thought they were picking my brain about doing business in Argentina when in fact it was an interview to head up our Public-Private Partner Initiative.
Different ways to do interviews on the unsuspecting.

Has the MFM said anything negative about Hunter Biden?
