He consider #5-10 to include appointing conservative judges.

Christa Cooper
‏ @MissMarple2
Replying to @STUinSD

Stu, Do #5-10 include appointing conservative judges?

Not my point. I could care less if they are conservative or liberal. I want them to stop legislating and only interpret the laws as written by Congress or EO's by the POTUS. That is there only job.

With people never challenging him or afraid to suggest a better alternative.
I think a lot of Repubs keep their distance because they don’t want to tangle with him. Some have some very good solutions and ideas.
I like Rand Paul for 2024
What you see is what you get.
He was also the first one to challenge Hil about Libya gunrunning.

Some other Republican other than Trump will have to step up in 2024.
I am sure we will find the right candidate then.

Really? Like McCain in 2008, or Romney in 2012?

I'm not so sure, but I shall pray the nonD candidate is up to winning then.

Jim Eagle

Really? No one never challenging him? Who specifically? He doesn't even have his own party on board. Names. Please. Lots of Names.

There has to be someone because the Dem alternative is unacceptable.

Hear hear, JM.

Both parties have been putting up tomato cans* for years.

What truly great person has run for president within the past 20 years? Say what you will but Trump is actually a great man compared to Obama, either Clinton, either Bush, Kerry obviously, and I'd say Romney, McCain and Dole as well. And please tell me about the rest of the 2016 field, or those emerging for 2020?

Trump's life history is unique and American, and he'd previously accomplished more than any of they** ever did. And then he won besides. That's how I look at it.

*I edited out "small candidates."

**Is there no word for "the aforementioned"?

I have been keeping my eyes out for a potential candidate.

Do far I have, in no particular order:

1. Governor Desantis of Florida
2. Rep. Crenshaw of Texas
3. Mick Mulvaney

These look like the best choices so far.

VP Pence is a possibility, but his well-known run-in with the gay community here may keep him out of the race.

Kirsten of Homeland Security has had up and downs wrt the best course on the Border.
They seem in sync now. Michael Kelly challenged occasionally.

Local radio was doing an open line day where callers can explain various conspiracy theories. I guess he does it every April fools day.

One caller was a full on Sleuther and he explained to the host how Trump knows everything because Q is either a single person that knows everything or Q is a group of higher up intelligence committee persons that are dedicated to Trump.

When the host asked how he knew that he explained that once you are smart enough to see the clues it becomes obvious. The host then asked why the opposition hasn't figured out who Q is, he responded with "they aren't very bright and certainly not woke to this."

He managed to use White Hat, Black Hat, and The Cabal as descriptors. He then went into muffled giggles as he concluded that it is so obvious if you pay attention to the clues.

Jim Eagle

I agree. He set a new bar but outside of Howard (over-caffeinated) Schultz, the Dems have no one like that. Even Bloomie is a former elected politician.

He is in a league of his own, and his base knows it, appreciates it, and owns it.

Jim Eagle

So, you are Q:)

Another caller had a hell of a theory.

Apparently in the late 80s as Trump was getting kicked out of Atlantic city one of Trump's helicopters crashed. Trump was supposed to be on it but fate spared him. Several of his executives were killed.

The guy explained that the mob took out the copter and the CIA and the Bush family covered it up because they didn't want a war on their hands. He said that the CIA's many ties to the mob put them in a position where they had to protect them. Poppy Bush, who was President when it happened, was knee deep in the CIA/Mob connections due to his time as head of the CIA.

Apparently Trump had an issue with the cover-up and that was the beginning of the hatred between the Bush family and Trump.

I am, JiB. :-)

Prison Reform Ceremony at the White House.

30 minutes and very upbeat!

The second caller sounded very composed and logical even though what he was saying was ludicrous. The first guy (Sleuther) sounded like the internet phenom "Double Rainbow."

Typical IQ setup. Pick the weakest link, latch on to it. Compromise it. Send it out to the targets. Then reveal it to damn the target. Where is John Le Carre when we need him, the commie that he is.

A Careful Strategy for Whipping the Asses of Green New Deal Messiahs

A very good read. When AOC referred to it as "our world war II" i realized the counterstrategy would have to be about more than the GND price tag.

The GND appeals to the two youngest generations who aren't likely to be swayed by arguments based on cost. A very good read.

You and I tend to appreciate similar things, rse. When our French exchange student wrote me an outraged letter that her parents had split up and how selfish they were (even though she was 20 and about to be on her own) I had two reactions. First I was touched that she would confide such personal thoughts to me and second her parents were very different but very good people that had to work this out in terms of relationships with their two daughters and they did. I still hear from her every now and then; she's kind of a physical therapist but I think in the unique French way of doing things she's closer to an MD in education and training than my daughter (her mother is an MD) and married an older man with children from a previous marriage and has two of her own and seems very happy.

It doesn’t really matter but I am wary of people looking at President Trump like they did at Obama.
Like he is the Messiah or the only Chosen One.
There is a danger in that course.

Of course there is but we elected him, in large part and certainly in marked contrast to Obama's acolytes, because we didn't want to be ruled and I'm confident he knows this and acts accordingly. He is an alpha but adheres to the Constitution on doing things and wants the legislature to be responsive to their constituents and send him bills to pass or veto, the way it's supposed to work.

I would like to encourage people to watch that prison reform ceremony video. I have never seen the president look so completely joyful.

The five former prisoners onstage were really pretty good speakers, including one lady with a shaved head who got an early release because her daughter is ill with terminal brain cancer (I assume the shaved head was in sympathy, which I have seen before.) It was a bi-partisan group and included Van Jones!

I think this was a worthy bi-partisan effort. A lot of these people got excessive sentences. They also are getting hired with construction companies and places like Wal-Mart.

Another accomplishment!

Jim Eagle

Frederick is reading Huck Finn this semester. His teacher will love your link.

I'm watching a video that has stopped me dead in my tracks, especially with respect to Comey. More in a

I should have said Comey and Mueller.

Am I the only person who wishes we could stop getting news items from videos instead of text? Part of the problem for me is that the narrators can be very irritating people. And the time element.

Anti-semitism is the juice behind extravagant liberal-prog-anarcho-fascisti platforms for 2020:

I am sorry but there was no written source to mine. Also no narrator.

I try to avoid doing it because they take so long, but I do try to give a description and a run time.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

I virtually never watch videos. As soon as I see a link is video only = swish.

Has this been discussed here?

Diana West -- The Red Thread

For the anti-video crowd here, read this:

For those with more time:

I just watched a video where she discusses the book with Stefan Molyneux. It was a very good listen and gave me some history on the men I did not know. I'm back to being *very* conflicted about both men.

If some of you have the time, check it out. It's 58 minutes long. I'd love to know what y'all think.

The Red Thread: Who Runs the Anti-Trump Conspiracies - West/Molyneux

Dennis Miller's "Fake News Real Jokes" on Amazon Primer is pretty good. General humor until halfway through when he cuts loose on the politics of the day.

"The Highwaymen" with Woody Harrelson and Kevin Costner... the story of the two Texas Rangers who tracked down Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow in order to rub them out. Mid-1930s setting lotsa nice Fords :D

Early 30s political drama: "Damnation", an interesting look at the convergence of industrial capitalists, government power, farmer rebellions, whoring, drunkeness, guns, God, and liberty. Lot of different soap boxes used throughout. 10 episodes. More lotsa nice Fords :D

CH, late to the time bandit party. ;-)

Ah I remember when baston and the late barrett were at tyr village voice going after the only guy who vanquished the mob guiliani

i'd pay to watch Dennis Miller debate all three of the late night talk show hosts at the same time.

he'd kick some patoot. maybe have Norm MacDonald moderate :D

Captain Hate

Miss Marple,

I wasn't aiming that at you or RG, rather a statement about the medium. I link Life, Liberty and Levin for example.

Dan Bongino's video podcast for today.

He has a time line of the Russian hoax, is pinpointing dates of important events, and is explaining the significance of such events in establishing that Mueller is not a white hat.

He makes a good case. You can listen to this while you are posting here, or while you are getting ready for bed, or ignore the whole thing. I found it very helpful to have the timeline while listening.

That was a very enjoyable 3:23. Maybe there's some hope for the GOP after all.

When Mrs. Buckeye was Prez of the Parent advisory group in the kid's school system, she figured out quickly that the Libtard school board and administrators didn't like the group's more conservative ideas.

So her secret weapon was to make sure those ideas were presented by the gal with a beautiful hypnotic southern drawl.

If that didn't work, then the next point would be made by the African-American gal on her team.

Was like dropping a nuke on the meeting, never failed.

Tom R., I watched it while multitasking. Multiple starts and stops, no idea where anything is in there by timestamp. The direct links back to Frankfort School professors was a surprise, Christopher Steele as an avowed socialist while head of the Cambridge Union was a surprise, etc.

The Nellie Ohr - Bruce Ohr marriage remains a curiosity, of course.

While I continue to bounce back and forth, I recognize a personal weakness is that I still very much *want* Mueller to have covered himself in glory. DawsonSField's Twitter threads plausibly satisfy that want. So does this tweet about that Carter Page letter to Rod Rosenstein:

He knew all along (honeypot). Because Carter Page e-mailed him saying he was being wiretapped, on 5/14/17. That's 5 days after Comey was fired, two days before RR joked with McCabe about 'wearing a wire,' and three days before RR hired Mueller. pic.twitter.com/C1lJHC1IQm

Everybody agrees that ObamaCare doesn’t work. Premiums & deductibles are far too high - Really bad HealthCare! Even the Dems want to replace it, but with Medicare for all, which would cause 180 million Americans to lose their beloved private health insurance. The Republicans.....

....are developing a really great HealthCare Plan with far lower premiums (cost) & deductibles than ObamaCare. In other words it will be far less expensive & much more usable than ObamaCare. Vote will be taken right after the Election when Republicans hold the Senate & win......

....back the House. It will be truly great HealthCare that will work for America. Also, Republicans will always support Pre-Existing Conditions. The Republican Party will be known as the Party of Great HealtCare. Meantime, the USA is doing better than ever & is respected again!

President-Elect Jim,SunnyvaleCA

A stale discussion now AND all hypothetical, but I join with A-mom and others to say only DJT could have won in '16.
War hero McCain was shot down by the media, and squeaky clean Romney was slimed.
DJT was too brash, too natural, and most of all we all knew him from reality TV, gala events, supporting roles in movies, high profile interviews and on and on.

"Some other Republican other than Trump will have to step up in 2024"
Yes. That person won't have to be Trump, they only have to be better than the Dem nominee in order to win. Hopefully that person has values, loves America and has lots of help from fellow patriots.

A comment posted at BJG blog. Issues not covered because they occur in fly-over country. I have no idea if prices will go up THAT much, but it's way more important than all the Dem-agenda items being covered.

"The Russiagate story has crowded everything else out of the public view. Like how about this: much of the midwest and plains region of the country has either had a subnormal late cold blast or is sitting under a million square miles of water. That translates to —

* The corn crop ain’t coming in this year folks. What has been planted has been wiped out by a late frost and it is nearly too late to get a second planting in. The price of corn is going way up and considering how pervasive corn is in food stuffs of this country everything you eat is going to skyrocket.

* Plains States ranchers have been stomped by the floods. Entire herds have been drowned and calfing won’t be for another 7 months. Would not be surprised to see beef prices double by late June. Which I guess balances out as there won’t be the corn for the CAFOs to fatten the cows anyway.

* Potato crop will be delayed for the same reason the corn crop is gone.

This all thanks to global warming :(. Really we are experiencing a Maunder Minimum. Will get much worse in 2021, 2022. Personally I will be planting late variety stone fruits to adjust to the colder climate.

Forty years ago this information would have been the lede on the Huntley-Brinkley newscast. Now days it is not even mentioned"

Heh, in my usual catching up, I noted some mention of Vesco on Blacklist, prolly from narc. So we watched that episode this evening. Holy Cow, they really did!

I won't betray any plot, but I have to relate our connections to Bobby. His BIL was our AME (air medical examiner) who worked on secret Army projects at Edgewood Arsenal, when his two kids were toddlers. Bobby's mom was a lovely Italian mama right out of the old country. Didn't get to meet his dad (passed long ago), but he was a key guy in the Apollo Program.

Bobby's last plane was a sparkly new 707, Silver Phyllis, and was observed doing a barrel roll down in the Caribbean in front of Nixon and Bebe Rebozo. Pilot: Ike Eisenhower, the only other pilot besides Tex Johnson to do that. Total bad ass. Did a repossession of SP down in Panama when Noriega copped it. His last act of pilot craziness was blowing out a knee holding top rudder during a barrel roll in a B-25.

After Bobby settled in under Castro's (supposed)protection, momma would go down to visit by making the trip via Mexico City to avoid the travel ban.

Bobby's sis had the two kids mentioned above. the older son is a psychologist in Cowlumbus. The younger sister has been a lifelong pal and my instrument instructor. I just pinged her about the show and found out that she had no clue about it. Sis remarried and her son from that marriage worked for us right out of HS. Smart as shit like all the rest of the extended tribe.

How about that, mt the plot was a variation on the national treasure theme, vesco is supposed to have mentored reddington which seems somewhat unlikely.

Maryrose will probably consider this a sign of my fanatical thinking, but Secretary Pompeo also thinks it possible that President Trump is fulfilling a plan by God.

Interesting Robert vesco 200 billion haul just about equal don Corzine loss in 2013, adjusted for inflation, but he had to flee to three countries.

War hero McCain was shot down by the media, and squeaky clean Romney was slimed.

McRINO didn't even want to win and go in the history books as the person who beat the first black nominee of a major political party; that's why he torpedoed his campaign by telling everyone they had nothing to fear from an Obama presidency. His campaign dunces reined in Palin too who swore she could turn Michigan around. Schmidt and Wallace; Dumb and Dumber.

It doesn't matter because everything had to happen exactly as it did for us to have DJT as President. The Tea Party had to ride to the rescue of the GOP and then be treated like trash by the party in order for the voters to see that an outsider candidate was the only way to break up this static logjam where campaign promises were routinely not acted on. Maybe that could've happened under a Romney presidency but that would've required a primary challenge which never work well. Nope it's my opinion that things had to happen exactly as they did to put us where we are now.

I thought she explained herself well this afternoon and there was an actual discussion rather than people talking past each other. I've been very critical of maryrose in the past but today was different unless I'm totally misreading things. I think the Mueller investigation kept us all under a cloud for a while and now that it's over we can talk about things without being held back by the uncertainty.
