Two 10-year-old girls from California having a slumber party “fought off” a naked creep who sneaked in through a window and tried to sexually assault them, cops said.
On his second day at the Wockhardt plant, Mr. Baker and a colleague caught an employee trying to smuggle out a garbage bag of documents. The documents led Mr. Baker to discover that the plant had knowingly released into Indian and other foreign markets vials of insulin containing metallic fragments. These had apparently come from a defective sterilizing machine. He learned that the company had been using the same defective equipment to make a sterile injectable cardiac drug for the American market. The willful deception there and at other plants so shocked him that he overhauled his inspection methods, with significant results. ...
Mr. Baker kept digging. Over the next five years, first in India and then in China, he uncovered fraud or deceptive practices in almost four-fifths of the drug plants he inspected. Some of the plants used hidden laboratories, secretly repeated tests and altered results to produce fake data that fundamentally misrepresented drug quality, then submitted that data to regulators.

Mrs H and I went to the Age of Steam Roundhouse tour today in Sugarcreek, Ohio, about an hour and a half away in lovely Tuscarawas county in Amish country. Once you get south of Canton, everything is rolling hills and once you're off I-77 you're on roller coaster roads where you're blind to what's on the other side of a hill. When we got there it was pretty obvious we reached our destination because there were trains all over the place. The roundhouse is only half of one and was built from scratch on a former cornfield using a blueprint from a long time ago and can be expanded if they ever get significantly more steam engines. There was an SUV in the parking lot painted the Pennsylvania Railroad dark maroon with old gold trim and had a PRR keystone insignia in the grille and little ones in the center of the hubcaps. Of course I had to find out who owned it and some old duffer (an amazingly spry 80 year old) from Easton, Maryland (a Maryland accent; I was in heaven) was wearing a PRR tee shirt. He asked me if I'd noticed the coupler trailer hitch so he took me out to show it off. Not only was that there but an air hose was clamped behind it (he told me some guy was looking under it once and I asked him if he was looking for a compressor or if he was a retired car knocker looking for a bleed valve to release the air brakes). Oh and he had a I ❤️ Trump sticker in the back window (the Eastern Shore is MAGA country).
There were at least 20 steam engines in there almost all of which are kept in operating shape and some make appearances at special events once the logistics are worked out with connecting railroads to enable them to get there. One of the guides told me that one of the smaller engines was delivered by truck; when I asked him if the gross tonnage popped the tires he said no but it wrecked the transmission. There were lots of diesels outside including two B&O switchers like I'd ridden on half a century ago. The tour was outstanding and we got lunch at some little cafe in town where the cost was dirt cheap (we picked up honey ham and butter cheese for home consumption).
On the way back to 77 we passed a field where two horses were running just for the sheer joy of it. A perfect day.
So if I understand this correctly...Comey held his press conference to reopen the Hillary investigation before the election, in order to help Trump win the election. He then met privately with Trump to tell Trump about all of the dirt that he had learned about The Obama administration while he was the head of the FBI under Obama. Then, with Trump's connivance, he "leaked" his own memo, to be published in the NYT, in order to trigger the Mueller special counsel investigation, in which Mueller spent 2 years and 30 Million dollars, ostensibly investigating the Trump campaign's collusion with Russia, but in reality--and again with Trump's connivance--to ensure that the Democrats would make fools of themselves when the investigation exonerated Trump, thus ensuring Trump's re-election in 2020. A brilliant campaign of deception.
Can anybody think of sounder grounds for the impeachment of Trump than any part of this being correct?
Thanks, clarice, but this moniker has served me well. There, as here, I believe I was the only one who'd ever been employed by a railroad; although arguably the tour guides are working for some dinky pseudo railroad keeping the dream alive.
Still it was a very MAGA day and seeing those running horses was one of those random events that will probably stay with me forever.
And if it is not what TomR is positing, isn't a massive campaign of deception orchestrated by the President against the Democrats, the media, and even his own supporters (using the pretense of a special counsel investigation to "exonerate" himself) valid grounds for impeachment? That is one of the many, many problems I have with the 4D argument.

EXCLUSIVE: U.S. Air Force has deployed 20 missiles that could zap the military electronics of North Korea or Iran with super powerful microwaves, rendering their military capabilities virtually useless with NO COLLATERAL DAMAGE
Known as the Counter-Electronics High Power Microwave Advanced Missile Project (CHAMP), the missiles were built by Boeing's Phantom Works for the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory
The microwave weapons can be launched into enemy airspace at low altitude and emit sharp pulses of high power microwave energy that disable any electronic devices targeted
Mary Lou Robinson, the chief of the High Power Microwave Division of the Air Force Research Lab has confirmed to DailyMail.com that the missiles are now operational and ready to take out any target
While North Korea or Iran may attempt to shield their equipment, U.S. officials doubt that would be effective against CHAMP.
The project has been advancing secretly ever since the Air Force successfully tested a missile equipped with high-powered microwave energy in 2012.
Never heard of this before! And it's operational and deployed? Hmm.
If they are real they would be very useful. A cruise missile then can pulse microwaves over a 700 mile path frying electronics in its' range. Shocking?
Here’s a pretty good comment under that China trad war article:
Tariffs do not get passed along into higher consumer prices unless the product has a very high inelasticity in demand.
Here’s a thought experiment: suppose I sell an imported product for $10. The government imposes a 25% tariff, so I decide to up the price to $12.50. Here’s your issue: if I could charge $12.50 for the product, why wouldn’t I just have charged that in the first place? Charity? No, I didn’t charge that because every time I tried, sales collapsed.
And if you understand retail, especially imports, gross margins are enormous. Sales prices can be 10 times cost of goods. So that $10 product probably just cost $1. And a 25% tariff on $1 is only 25 cents. Top of the line iPhones cost about $180 to make but retail for close to $1000.
Tariff expenses come out of some combination of negotiated lower prices with vendors, lost jobs as importers seek to cut costs, and lower profits. Consumer prices are the last thing to consider.
I have to believe that US retailers have looked at this and can re-source a lot of goods.
I looked at some stock charts of cheapo stores that carry a lot of Chinese imports and none of the charts are buckling. They're off their highs now, but I don't see anything to indicate they are under attack by short-sellers.
There are short-sellers, but at very low percentages. Investors seem to be thinking these companies have some strategy to deal with the tariffs.

So, Sabo posted a nekkid pic in the same pose as the anti-abortion chicka y'all have been talking about today on Instagram in a side by side format. unsavoryagents is the account name. LOL
I wish I could bring it over here, but I still can't post pics or links w/o it going to the round file.
The AOS group on FB has it, but it won't even copy out of there to share on FB.
He's a friggin genius.

Right now I’m imagining The Lord and Satan in a “Consider my servant” format playing “Not It” with Pat Robertson.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7037549/Air-Force-deployed-20-missiles-fry-military-electronics-North-Korea-Iran.html
Shocking?
Anybody else heard of, or believe this?

MT,
I have to believe that US retailers have looked at this and can re-source a lot of goods.
