“Even Director James Clapper admits that the FBI actions against the Trump Presidential Campaign do in fact meet the definition of spying, perhaps FBI Director Christopher Wray will be the next to do so.” @LouDobbs
From the end of the last thread: I understand that reporters were involved in the leaks, but when I read "a big portion of IG Horowitz's report will deal with the media and how they were complicit in the Russia hoax" that still doesn't set well with me. Those reporters should be collateral damage. Horowitz should be entirely focused on DoJ personnel and their wrongdoing. It's like blaming guns for shootings.
The final round of The Tradition was rained out today, so they'll finish tomorrow. They're sending them out on both sides staring at 7:30, so it should finish by 2:00. The forecast is for a high of 76° and sunny. Think I'll set the alarm early and head that way... 😎
what if the investigation into the origins of the hoax and justification for the warrants are inextricably entwined with the media and that seems to have been the case, jimmy?
How would that be, Clarice? Reporters are just the instruments of the leaks. There was that NYT reporter who paid for info with her body, but even that doesn't absolve the traitor.
I hate the MSM with the heat of a thousand suns, but I don't want them taking the fall for Spygate.

Thanks for the personalized note you sent with the tote. My wife loves it. She’s a bag person. It is definitely very well made. I was accused of being a tote fangirl by my 17 year old daughter as I was looking it over and commenting on it. :)
I hope you're right, clarice. We'll know immediately if Shecky Schooomer puts his full clown outfit on to match those goofball glasses and says "Nothing to see here *HONK* *HONK*" for the cameras.

If it’s a simple matter of overwork, there’s going to be no substitute for just setting your personal limit and letting things wait ‘til tomorrow.
Re. the dick VP... I’ve gone to higher-ups who I thought misbehaved and in a private conversation was very open about what I saw as the problem. If need be, put the meeting on the calendar, and write a contemporaneous account of it. If you get retaliation, then go to HR openly, not “spy line”.
(If none of this will work, ignore me. I’m a guy and an engineer - my instinct is to solve problems whether wanted or not.)
Either way the obvious answer is fire/demote and replace.
Iggy,
It’s pretty easy to figure out how the Democrats and leftwing media would have spun Trump firing the Deputy Director of the FBI on the heels of the FBI Director. It would have made it a LOT easier for them to convince voters that the only reason both Comey and McCabe got fired was because Trump knew he was guilty of colluding with the Russia and he was trying to cover it up. No telling what kind of permanent harm to the Trump presidency there would have been if that was how things played out. Fortunately
I hope we don't get another whitewash like the last IG report.
I disagree it was a whitewash. The conclusion that the IG couldn't say with certainty that the FBI investigators' opinions didn't influence their actions was disappointing, and even whitewashish, but the evidence he revealed about Strzok, Page, and others was devastating. It was the IG who dug out the phone messages after the FBI tried to hide them.
Tonight's Levin will be on YouTube shortly and I'll provide a link. The last few weeks I've been listening to his podcasts start to finish. Usually I'll just listen to the first half or so, figuring I pay too much attention to politics; but these are important times and I think he's got his finger on the pulse of things.
if i didn't want advice, i wouldn't make it the subject of most of my comments on the overnight. i should complain about it less too! talking to him one-on-one would be counterproductive and i'm not the type to drop the dime on someone or something on the "spyline".
Watching the financial news devolve, I’m convinced nearly everything issued by MFM has been a production of FusionGPS and its competitors. We already know Perkins Coie financed plenty. Who else? The list could be enormous.
The firing of all the copy editors makes way more sense if all the copy is just getting sent in from the get go.
Page has spilled her guts since the IG Report, which is why she retired instead of being fired. I hope Donny Two Scoops has provided her with some of his excess hired muscle as an Arkancide precautionary measure.
Which would be merely pitiful until you consider what was actually happening in this interval the south Indian Islamic state protege of the Beatle emwazi who popped up in Colombo a few weeks back
the exact question i had ... he has a computer and vpn, thinks of himself as the smartest man in the universe, and can access all the production data down to the second probably from his phone ... maybe girlfriend? he just needed an excuse and an alibi ...
Exactly. I try to do most of my off-hours work from home. Mostly because I can get more comfortable and have a glass of wine in front of me (which is a virtual requirement for my Asian customer calls.)

RoKhanna is my Congressman.
We used to have Mike Honda, arguably worse but at least old, ineffectual and lacking energy.
I recently wrote to ask if Khanna was still pursuing prostitutes peeing on a Moscow hotel bed or if he was at work on the Budget.
His response gives off a vibe to me of "of course we'll fail to pass a budget" but the whole message is weird and answers questions not asked.
Is the shutdown a done deal? Sure sounds like it.
"May 9, 2019
I want to assure you that my offices will be open and our work for you and the people in Silicon Valley will continue. If you have a question or a problem with the federal agency, you can reach me or my staff here - or call the Washington office at (202) 225-2631 or my Santa Clara district office at (408) 436-2720 during normal business hours Monday through Friday.
During the federal government shutdown, critical national security agencies including the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security as well as the FBI and TSA will remain. Additionally, the U.S. Post Office will remain open and operational, but many other federal agencies and offices will be closed.
If my staff is working with you on a case or any other federal matter, please note that there may be delays that will be out of our control indefinitely. However, please be advised that the State of California and municipal operations will not be affected.

Thank you for your attention and patience at this time. I will keep you updated and stand ready to assist you throughout this shutdown. Please do share any thoughts, suggestions, or concerns."
This thread has a series of clips from Mark Levin's televisions show this evening. He is discussing the Nadler Committee and the Mueller repoprt with Dr. John Eastman of the Clairmont Institute.
(He's using a much softer voice than on his radio show.)
Worth listening to as it explains a lot of the Constitutional problems with Mueller's report, for one thing.
I'm trying to resurrect a Windows 7 Professional laptop. My girlfriend broke it and I gave her a spare Windows 8.1 desktop about 2 years ago. That still works, but she bought a newer laptop for #30, quite the steal, until she dumped a beer into the keyboard a few weeks ago. That sucker was better than anything else in the household.
I managed to recover enough functionality on the old laptop that I connect to the internet to resolve the remaining problems.
So for the last few days I've been downloading 62 important upgrades and 11 minor ones.
That laptop doesn't download anywhere near as fast as this one does.
Multiple downloads failed because of a conflict with my firewall. The poor child doesn't understand that mommy and daddy are talking to it.
The solution is to add several addresses to the firewall exception list. Yeah, can't find that. Turned the firewall off instead. Got a bunch more to install doing that, but a few recalcitrant downloads are still showing firewall errors.
Now 9 more important updates have shown up and I'm downloading them as we speak.
I can't believe how slow this PC is on downloading.
It's a freaking battle and it's been been 5 days since I started, but i'm going to beat this thing into submission.

Their is no reason for the U.S. Consumer to pay the Tariffs, which take effect on China today. This has been proven recently when only 4 points were paid by the U.S., 21 points by China because China subsidizes product to such a large degree. Also, the Tariffs can be.....
....completely avoided if you by from a non-Tariffed Country, or you buy the product inside the USA (the best idea). That’s Zero Tariffs. Many Tariffed companies will be leaving China for Vietnam and other such countries in Asia. That’s why China wants to make a deal so badly!...
..There will be nobody left in China to do business with. Very bad for China, very good for USA! But China has taken so advantage of the U.S. for so many years, that they are way ahead (Our Presidents did not do the job). Therefore, China should not retaliate-will only get worse!
==========================
I see some spelling errors(Their, by) so this might get deleted.
The smart set will of course point the errors out.
This has been the 3rd coldest winter since records were recorded, according to my son. He worked in landscaping for many yearsand so became a weather hobbyist.
We haven't had the extremes of the late 70's and early 80's, but it has been prolonged and constantly cool, plus it has spread over a winder part of the US.

“Just another abuse of power in a long series of abuses of power by the Democrats that began during the Obama Administration, continued through the Mueller FBI operation, & now the baton has been passed to Jerry Nadler to continue to abuse power to harass President Trump..
....and the Democrat National Committee-The Democrat Party apparatus-has been caught using donor Dollars to Collude with Russian Intelligence to attack a domestic political opponent (me). The FBI has no leadership. The Director is protecting the same gang.....that tried to....
...overthrow the President through an illegal coup.” (Recommended by previous DOJ) @TomFitton @JudicialWatch

Until the budget process is finally resolved, please know that I will continue to work with my colleagues on a responsible compromise that funds the federal government to ensure that the government stays open and is at your service.

People like to talk about debt but do most know which President increased the debt the most on a % basis?
That would be FDR who increased the debt from $23 billion to $236 billion or 1048%.
To compare for Trump to increase the debt to that level we would be at $~200 trillion

Hi all, nothing much to say tonight.

Good morning! We're going up north today to visit my mother-in-law. She has decided to move into independent living. She finally came to the decision over the winter. After almost 89 years in the same town (10 years as a snowbird in FL) she decided to move to a town in southern Maine, the same town hubby's sister will move to this summer. Another sister lives in southern NH. Hubby is going to assist with the logistics of moving.
So,moving Nana is our summer "project."

==========================
I see some spelling errors(Their, by) so this might get deleted.
The smart set will of course point the errors out.

Marlene,
Good luck with "Nana" sounds like a well -considered decision, especially for living in Maine.
"Independent living" if you can self-navigate and have your senses is like an extended hotel stay. A lot less to have to do for yourself.
MM,
This seems like the coldest year in a while. Why do I suspect the statistics won't bear that out?
Posted by: jim nj | May 13, 2019 at 06:47 AM
jim nj,
This has been the 3rd coldest winter since records were recorded, according to my son. He worked in landscaping for many yearsand so became a weather hobbyist.
We haven't had the extremes of the late 70's and early 80's, but it has been prolonged and constantly cool, plus it has spread over a winder part of the US.

I say openly to President Xi & all of my many friends in China that China will be hurt very badly if you don’t make a deal because companies will be forced to leave China for other countries. Too expensive to buy in China. You had a great deal, almost completed, & you backed out!
