Captain Hate,

I think he was a traitor, too, which I think drove him nutty trying to cover it up and portray himself as a victim.

Megan McCain would have no career in TV if the libs didn't know they could count on her to attack President Trump.

As you visit Arlington National Cemetery this weekend, please be mindful of the families that are visiting loved ones laid to rest here. Please, provide them the space and privacy they deserve. Thank you.
=======================
It's a shame that people have to be reminded of this.

Jane

Holy cow Caro! Sounds great!

God rest the souls of the brave patriots who gave their lives in the name of God and country. There is no greater love.

#BREAKING: Mark Miles CEO of Hulman & Company told me LIVE on @WISH_TV they will NOT move up the start time of the race because of weather. #DaybreakRaceday @IMS
==================
This is probably because of TV contracts. We have storms predicted for early afternoon which might either interrupt the race or cut it short, depending on how many laps have been completed.

Very beautiful Pieces today, moving and important for people to read.

Jane

Had a delightful time at my niece's graduation party.

Got to catch up with my BIL's family, some of whom I haven't seen since my sis and he got married.

Highlight was talking to my niece's Chemistry teacher. She was Hannah's mentor through high school and had high praises.

"Best student I have ever had, period."

Only downside is she mistook me for Hannah's grandfather.

Curse of white hair and being 15 years older than my youngest sis:)

Thank you, Clarice. Very moving remembrance.

I have been to three internments at Arlington: Two at the gravesite and one for ashes-in-the-wall.

There is a special building with parking that you enter and meet with the other's, mostly family, as the OIC (officer-in-charge) briefs on details and the order of the program. Then you are taken to the sites where the Chaplin of the internee's faith conducts the service. Full military honors including the obligatory folding of the flag including the recitation for each fold:

Symbols for the Folds of the Flag

The first fold of our flag is a symbol of life.

The second fold is a symbol of our belief in eternal life.

The third fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veteran departing our ranks, and who gave a portion of his or her life for the defense of our country to attain peace throughout the world.

The fourth fold represents our weaker nature; as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace, as well as in times of war, for His divine guidance.

The fifth fold is a tribute to our country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, “Our country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right, but it is still our country, right or wrong.”

The sixth fold is for where our hearts lie. It is with our heart that we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

The seventh fold is a tribute to our armed forces, for it is through the armed forces that we protect our country and our flag against all enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.

The eighth fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day, and to honor our mother, for whom it flies on Mother’s Day.

The ninth fold is a tribute to womanhood, for it has been through their faith, love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great have been molde
