Unelected federal bureaucracies are sometimes called the 4th Branch of government. Congress will write some law, for example, regarding clean drinking water. Few details will be provided. Then the Federal Departments will crank out volumes of regulations that must be obeyed by citizens, businesses and local government. Due to the famous legal cases "Chevron", "Auer" and others the courts have given these regulations the force of law.

The Cleveland oped on Flynn prompts two questions.
Does it not seem extremely fishy that only one day passed between when Flynn got indicted and when he agreed to a plea bargain deal? I would have thought a high priced DC law firm that Flynn retained would need more than a few hours to provide him competent legal advice and to coordinate with the Mueller SC on the details of the plea bargain.
The oped also states Trump-appointed US Attorney Jessie Liu has taken over the case from Mueller. If the Mueller SC wrongfully indicted Flynn, engaged in prosecutorial misconduct, etc as many Trump supporters believe, then why doesn't Liu do the right thing and drop the case?

YIKES!!! Four inches was a lot here on Saturday! I cannot imagine 10 inches! (Bartholomew is two counties south of Indianapolis. Humidity here is unbelievable, and we did get rain last night.
narc-in that sbc article you linked, there was this statement:
It is the proverb of the “frog in the kettle” applied practically to affect change. Wrong word. Crirical race theory and intersectionality are designed to effect change as in "bring it about", not simply impact it, which is the meaning of affect.
It's not really wordsmithing when the whole point of the article was the purpose of these shifts.
Extraordinary: @TheJusticeDept’s deputy AG asked @ManhattanDA Vance to respond to a letter from Paul Manafort’s attorney with double-jeopardy objections. @CourthouseNews
I think the charges between state and federal are a little different with Manafort then with gamble, but I admit it's a puzzler. If he was a drug dealer or a murderer who got off, but this was a thief if memory.
Every time they say "it's just a few corrupt ones at the top of the FBI" andother grunt gets exposed:
A former FBI agent hired by St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner to help in the criminal investigation of then-Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens was hit with charges of perjury and tampering with evidence Monday.
This morning on Fox, Gary Woodland was a guest, and they showed a video of his good friend, Amy Bockerstette, (the girl with downs' syndrome) and her family, watching him on the show. He loved it.
He seems like such a genuine great guy. He said he couldn't wait to play with her again. I've got a new hero.

NEW AT DIS HOUR: An incredible amount of rain has fallen over southern Bartholomew and Jackson counties in south-central Indiana.
Radar estimates nearly 10" of rain has fallen between Freetown and Waymansville. I've received reports of 9"+ measured in rain gauges. #INwx #plant19
================================
YIKES!!! Four inches was a lot here on Saturday! I cannot imagine 10 inches! (Bartholomew is two counties south of Indianapolis. Humidity here is unbelievable, and we did get rain last night.

Shanahan is probably sick of the process. I know I am.

We have iffy weather, thunderstorms with gully washers, then the sun comes out and dries everything up, then rinse and repeat all day.

narc-in that sbc article you linked, there was this statement:
It is the proverb of the “frog in the kettle” applied practically to affect change. Wrong word. Crirical race theory and intersectionality are designed to effect change as in "bring it about", not simply impact it, which is the meaning of affect.
It's not really wordsmithing when the whole point of the article was the purpose of these shifts.

Didn't the Supremes yesterday validate that a State charge and a Federal charge do not meet the standard for double jeopardy. Or something like that.

So, Trump fired Shanahan because of a 6-year-old domestic battery charge on his wife during a drunken brawl?
