Trump announces a dramatic last-minute deal! Peter Baker of the Times goes on at length on a pint I have made before (Where? Hmm... this from Mar 2018 for sure.) - Trump creates this drama and then solves it. Or at least, "solves" it. North Korea has been the most harrowing example but the China trade war (with an inevitable "victory" in time to keep the economy humming for November 2020) is becoming the most consequential.

I may have mentioned this before, but I recall that after the war, Britain discovered a huge sub population of boys born during the blitz who ended up gay. The presumption was that the extraordinary stress imposed on the pregnant mothers from the bombing caused some change in their development. Might have also had something to do with missing/lost fathers, I suppose, but that may have been taken into account.
So, nurture at the most primal level?

Geez, I only wanted to debunk a study with counter science it has turned into who agrees and who doesn't agree. This is exactly the problem with an opinion that will not accept scientific exception. I was not making an opinion on gayness but how the science was delivered. Next time I know to not bring up science or math or logic.
It was not about Gays but about science and how it can be turned into a political argument without the hint of proof. Yes, I repeat myself for a reason.

Unfortunately, almost everything I could find in a cursory search seemed skewed by an advocate for one or the other human theory.
Apparently there is plenty of evidence of homosexual activity in other primates, but nothing I could see that indicated that there were exclusive homosexuals who actually preferred their own gender.

Scratching an itch can be satisfying or you can destroy your protective epidermis and end up dead.

The reprimand continued as Judge Walton also ruled that True the Vote receive a "bad faith enhancement" to its requested attorney's fees.
The case's conclusion and judge's opinion are "clear and convincing evidence necessary for a finding of bad faith" in their discrimination against True the Vote.
True the Vote requested a recovery amount of $1.9 million in attorneys' fees. The total award amount is still pending.

Well, I'm a big Alexa fan. I have Show and Spot devices at home, which I've described here. I hate Google, even though their device is smarter, but I like having a willing and available assistant who has the encyclopedia memorized, and can navigate, make and answer calls, and do other tasks in addition to answering questions. I have a Garmin that takes voice commands, but navigation is all it does. I have a phone that you can say "OK, Google" to, but as I say, I'm not a Google fan. Plus, I find Alexa's voice more appealing that Google's.

Who was it the other day asking about White people in the Bible? Esau means red and Edom means red or sunburned. Who gets sunburned? I know Black people get tan lines for sure but come on now.
I bring that up because of several OT passages talking about God hating Esau or Edom, even in the womb I believe. Why did he hate him/them?
The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou who dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high, who saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? (Obadiah 3)
Pride takes everyone down.

My wife found out that our dog (a Schnauzer) could hardly hear, so she took it to the veterinarian. The vet found that the problem was hair in the dog's ears. He cleaned both ears, and the dog could then hear fine.
The vet then proceeded to tell Andrea that, if she wanted to keep this from recurring, she should go to the store and get some "Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month.
Andrea went to the store and bought some "Nair" hair remover. At the register, the pharmacist told her, "If you're going to use this under your arms, don't use deodorant for a few days." Andrea said, "I'm not using it under my arms."
The pharmacist said, "If you're using it on your legs, don't use body lotion for a couple of days." Andrea replied, "I'm not using it on my legs either. If you must know, I'm using it on my Schnauzer."
The pharmacist says, "Well, stay off your bicycle for about a week."

IMO, as good as you see the kids’ lives with their non-father male role models, a father who lives with and is committed (e.g married) to their mother and loves them all would be better.
YMMV, but I’m pretty sure.

This has never been about individuals or whether some heterosexuals are bad parents and some homosexuals are good people.
Nor is it about civil rights.
Now, my personal opinion is a homosexual has some type of mental issue as do millions of other people but that itself is neither here nor there either.
This is about culture and the health of society.
I am not aware of a single culture that has normalized and mainstreamed homosexuality and celebrated it that hasn't been on the cusp of failure. I'm not sure it's even a cause so much as a symbol. A culture and a society so enervated and so dissipated that it is reduced to championing a small percentage of people doing some weird stuff as the institutions that sustain it whither is not a healthy one and one that is in dire straights. Doesn't mean it's lost but it better get its stuff together.
One of the unfortunate truths that every society must accept but none seem capable of is if certain characteristics are not disapproved of by society that society will not survive.
What comes after is always worse for not only those who were not asked and told not to tell, but for everyone else as well.
Diversity, unfortunately in the real world, celebrated for its own sake is death as society atomizes and tyranny rises to control the chaos.
And every tolerant good hearted person always thinks it'll be different this time and it never is because human nature and behavior is immutable.

ABob, my problem with that is I didn’t have a father (after age 7). My life would have been a hell of a lot easier i’m Sure if I did. But i’m Surely not going to let anyone take anything from me as a result!

Sen. Grassley has put a hold on a top IC nominee b/c of ODNI Dan Coats' refusal to share #SpyGate documents: "I learned that the Justice Department has taken the position that Director Coats has prohibited them from sharing the requested records with the [Judiciary] Committee."

I'll try to raise a Beasts sighting with the following;
Vettel surely deserved that penalty as he blocked Hamilton with that old garbage scow of a Ferrari.
If that doesn't work we might have to question Bear Bryant's ancestry.

ABob,
Let me continue - would I have been a different person if I had a father? Absolutely. Would I have been a better person? Who knows. When I was 7 I decided I would never get married. Did that open the door for more success? Who knows. Would I have been happier? Who knows? But I an who I am, and it ruffles my feathers when it is implied I could have been better if fate were different. So I apologize if I’m overreacting.

AB, no idea how that Brit thing was evaluated, but I can imagine a basic observation that, like many of us might observe, if you used to be able to count gays in your immediate environment on one hand and a decade or two later you run into them everywhere you turn, well, you can draw reasonable conclusions.
For instance in our very liberal neighborhood, I know of one couple who are our next door pals. That and a couple that hang around our community theater.
