The fact that COmey never tried to convene a gj--which he could do by requesting the US Atty to do so--meant he never was investing a crime--only spying on people which did not require a gj.
Everything everyone said is true and yet at the bottom of it all is the left has not only revealed their true colors in the last few years but those colors are the bright red blood of infanticide and severed penises to manufacture front hole "women" and the rest is the baby poop brown of the bat shit crazy temper tantrum they're throwing to turn the US into a combo Frankfurt School Romper Room -n- Drive Through Abattoir.
The fact that the Lefitsts have exposed their true colors (aided significantly by Trump) is IMO an inflection point. Going back to the 1950s McCarthy era the Communists have largely been successful in concealing their true nature to the masses. Obama got elected because the Communists were able to conceal his true leftist radical nature and con leftwing voters into believing his lie that he was a centrist. Those days are over.
What you are seeing from Team Trump is an organized messaging strategy (political gaslighting) covering multiple issues that intentionally triggers Progtard/SJWs into continuously displaying their true nature day after day, week after week all the way up to the 2020 election.
--The business cycle has been transformed since the corporate tax and regulatory cuts. --
I hope so Mel. I remember saying a year or so ago that either the economy was coming to the end of its cycle or possibly there was so much pent up activity that had been deferred by Barry's 8 years of stagnation that maybe it would be different this time.
We'll certainly find out soon enough.
The most pro growth administration since Reagan can't eliminate cycles but it can change the shape of them, particularly after 8 years of the most stifling administrative state in recent domestic history. I don't think it's unrealistic optimism to have higher than usual expectations for the current one.

Highly recommend Jane's 10:43 Human Events link on Barr and Mueller.
It's a very good article that we discussed here when it was first published.
And how, exactly, did Bill Barr know that that § 1512(c)(2) was central to Mueller’s obstruction theory – in June 2018, when he was still in private practice at Kirkland?
On June 8, 2018, Bill Barr wrote a detailed memorandum to Rod Rosenstein about what he believed was Mueller’s interpretation of 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(2). While Barr professed to be “in the dark about many facts,” in light of the Mueller Report, it’s clear he knew *exactly* what Mueller was up to.
Now, it’s possible that Barr simply heard some extremely accurate scuttlebutt from some old DOJ pals about the exact statute Mueller was relying on to investigate obstruction of justice. It’s also possible that he was so incensed that he decided, on his own initiative, to draft a very thorough memorandum to Rod Rosenstein about his concerns, appropriating some expensive Kirkland associates for the task.
But that’s improbable. A more likely explanation (and my first novel thesis) is that Trump’s legal team sought out Bill Barr, gave him inside information about Mueller and Weissmann’s interpretation of § 1512(c)(2), and asked him to write the memorandum to Rosenstein.
It's plausible speculation but there is also the possibility that Mueller or Rosenstein is who gave Barr the information on Weissman's interpretation of § 1512(c)(2). Both of them knew what Weissman was trying to do so they possessed the same inside knowledge that Trump's lawyers did.

After refusing to accept the results of the 1860 election, Democrats were out of power for 24 years.

I haven't read any of the commentary myself, but after seeing the pix, I just assumed that the "My Fair Lady" observation was a reference to the famous scene (but maybe not so famous after all!) from the movie in which all the costumes were black and white.
I thought The Nation was a prog rag. But then I found this there
AFAIK they have been the most pro-Communist leaning media organization in the country for decades. My guess is they realize Team Trump is successfully gaslighting Progtards into displaying their true nature and destroying all the "progress" the Communists have made in destroying the country for the past few decades. IMO The Nation is trying to get fellow Progtards to STFU about impeachment just like Pelosi is.
The day after the midterms, Jeff Sessions was asked for his resignation. Less than a month later, Bill Barr was nominated as his replacement. Everyone talked about how he was the “consensus choice” in the administration. No other candidate was ever seriously floated.
That leads to my second novel thesis: After it became clear that Rosenstein was not persuaded by the Barr memorandum, Dowd and Sekulow persuaded President Trump to fire Sessions and make Barr the Attorney General.
Why fire Sessions? As discussed, it was on Trump’s lawyers to solve the problem posed by Mueller’s interpretation of § 1512(c)(2). One can’t imagine they were too happy in July 2018, having realized that they had no means of stopping this investigation, save for one.
The timeframe is key here. The Barr Memorandum was written on June 8, 2018. It probably wouldn’t have been obvious to Barr or Trump’s lawyers that their effort to persuade Rosenstein had failed until July.
The problem for Trump’s lawyers is that Rosenstein had either adopted Mueller’s obstruction theory, or was letting him run wild with it despite his reservations. But who decides what the Department of Justice’s position on the proper interpretation of a criminal statute is? Usually, the attorney general would decide. In this case, however, it was the Deputy Attorney General, since Sessions was recused.
But what if Sessions wasn’t the Attorney General?
The timeframe is key here. The Barr Memorandum was written on June 8, 2018. It probably wouldn’t have been obvious to Barr or Trump’s lawyers that their effort to persuade Rosenstein had failed until July.
And Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement in late June.
If Trump’s legal team thought that Sessions needed to go, they probably would have been reluctant to advise Trump to fire him right away, with a bruising Supreme Court confirmation battle coming up, followed by the midterm elections.
Black rock stiffed him on a buyout of a falling bank, all deep staters hang together, considering his success in the EU elections he should have more leeway and opposed to the five star.
And since my Italian is a bit rusty, I'm relying on translate to get to where Conte is basically saying. "Ignore the electoral results, follow the EU's Rules."
This may not be too good a route to go, given the current sentiments.
When were you at Chernobyl? Before or after, and why? My old firm has been there since cleanup began. We designed and installed the first Sarcophagus to cover the plant site. I went in 1999, when in London. In two days I reached my health-physics count for a full quarter. Still radio-active filthy.
Russia, Ukraine, they all look alike:) I thought maybe you were there representing those Finnish reindeer herders who got over 50K micro-sieverts. That's a full year's worth for those working in a hot zone nuke.
Apparently a pic popped up of him with Kim on Saturday. Also, the original source for that story has a decidedly worse reputation than News Of The World.

"From that photo at 10:05 it appears that the Queen is fascinated with Trump"
I wouldn't be surprised if she quite likes him. After all, Prince Philip was never one to shy away from frank, if not controversial, public comments! I'm sure the royals also have a love/hate relationship with the press. She probably doesn't mind having an excuse to shun the London mayor, either. I understand she likes a good joke. She & the Trumps may have more in common than people might think. I do admire her good sense in refusing to abdicate in favor of Charles! Hopefully she'll live a great deal longer, thus making his reign as short as possible.
JMH I just assumed that the "My Fair Lady" observation was a reference to the famous scene (but maybe not so famous after all!) from the movie in which all the costumes were black and white.
You are giving them more of the benefit of the doubt than I am. First of all, it's The Today website. The title "Melania Trump is giving us 'My Fair Lady' vibes as she meets the queen" omits all of the other references in the article (Lady Di, Camilla wearing white, etc.) and emphasizes the Eliza Doolittle angle.
I saw it as a sly but not so disguised dig at comparing her to Eliza and implying her outfit was ostentatious and ridiculous. But that's just my humble opinion :)
For those who didn't read the article - these photos were not side by side but were included.
London part of trip is going really well. The Queen and the entire Royal family have been fantastic. The relationship with the United Kingdom is very strong. Tremendous crowds of well wishers and people that love our Country. Haven’t seen any protests yet, but I’m sure the....
....Fake News will be working hard to find them. Great love all around. Also, big Trade Deal is possible once U.K. gets rid of the shackles. Already starting to talk!
I've forgotten whose Twitter account I dropped in on (something linked from here I'm sure) only to find all the videos marked as sensitive, requiring an extra click as you described. I was wondering how Facebook could get so granular about their censoring, and I ended up thinking they just block anything anybody complains about, with perhaps a glance to make sure they're not tying up anyone on the left. There was absolutely no reason for any of the videos to be fire-walled like that, unless someone just went down the whole Twitter page reporting every video. Since that's an emblematic lefty tactic, Facebook can count on expanding their own seek and destroy operations exponentially.
It's my impression that folks on the right just don't make the same kind of concerted attacks when it comes to media manipulation, while a lot of SJW's make it their life's work. To get a video restored to open viewing, you basically have to go through the same sort of process as you would if your whole account had been closed down, so most people probably decide to just live the results.
One last thought before heading out. The very believable hypothesis laid out in that Human Events link ties in to a conversation here from a couple days ago.
There would be no reason to send Mueller's homework back to him so he could re-do it within DoJ guidelines. Mueller already proved to be impervious to legal advice.
Barr had to release release it as-is and he had to do it quickly, IMO.
Have watched all of Chernobyl and it is a frightening depiction of all the events.
Excellent depiction of what radiation poisoning is like and the frantic PR campaign to minimize what actually happened.

Mueller giving Trump the information—No way.
They are adversaries in this process.
All the evidence underscores that aspect of this phony hoax of an investigation.
Melanie looks lovely and any attempt to denigrate just shows those writers as jealous, petty people with no sense of what is fashionable.
On their best day they could never lol that good.
It's my impression that folks on the right just don't make the same kind of concerted attacks when it comes to media manipulation, while a lot of SJW's make it their life's work.
A lot of SJW's actually get paid to do that kind of thing. That's one of the biggest problems our side has.
They get paid to attack us (often by us, either indirectly thanks to working for nonprofits, or doing their dirty work while on the clock at government jobs; or directly by grants).
We have to work for our own living, pay taxes to support the people attacking us, and then, in our spare time after work, fight back against the SJW's on our own dime.

Lefties are all about collectivism and the herd mentality, groupthink, mobs, central government and global citizenship.
Conservatives are more prone to be individualists and to respect the rights of individuals, personal responsibility, State's rights, and sovereignty of nation-states.
That's why they're better at organizing, protests and riots, and circling the wagons, than we on the Right are.
It's plausible speculation but there is also the possibility that Mueller or Rosenstein is who gave Barr the information on Weissman's interpretation of § 1512(c)(2). Both of them knew what Weissman was trying to do so they possessed the same inside knowledge that Trump's lawyers did.
You are aware, I assume, that Weissman worked under Mueller and Rosenstein, not the other way around, so if they wanted to shut him down, then didn't need to go behind his back to do it.
Facebook has a "warning" about this statement "this photo may show graphic or violent content" and it makes you click on a separate link to open it.

The above is from the Human events link from earlier.
It so closely matches something I wrote here several months ago it, it is eerie.
Sessions was shitcanned for a good reason, and it wasn't because he was Stealthy.

Clarice,
When were you at Chernobyl? Before or after, and why? My old firm has been there since cleanup began. We designed and installed the first Sarcophagus to cover the plant site. I went in 1999, when in London. In two days I reached my health-physics count for a full quarter. Still radio-active filthy.

Momto2:
"Very Dangerous Statement!"

Mueller giving Trump the information—No way.
