Hey RG, IANALTG, but I don't believe any court has an obligation to help a per se or pro per party, especially the judge, although most I have seen in action are usually pretty fogiving of mistakes.
Many courts however have self help areas in their clerk's offices and on their websites.
The best bet might be to hire a local para legal to file papers and keep on top of things.

For Jimnj, a quiet title action is not a quit claim. A quit claim deed is simply a deed relinquishing any rights one might have in some property. Unlike a grant deed there is no warranty that any ownership interest is actually being deeded, only that what you own, if anything, is going to whoever you're deeding it to.

A quiet title action is a lawsuit that essentially declares to the world "I claim to own this piece of property. If you think you have a claim on it you best get your butt into court and prove it, because if you don't, your claims will be extinguished."
A qt suit is required to notify anyone with a known claim and to advertise for any unknowns.

Buckeye, you probably know all of this. I'm not amom and don't play her on TV, but if you're taking hydrocodone/APAP, I think the fear isn't the hydrocodone part, it's the APAP (tylenol) part.

They commonly come in tabs with 325mg and 500mg APAP doses, and liver toxicity starts somewhere at 3000-4000mg which isn't too tough for people with your kind of usage to hit. Adding booze on top of that will have the expected (poor) effects.

I once heard a judge say in open court most title insurance isn't worth the paper it's printed on. The problem as you know is title insurers pretty much always exclude any claims not recorded against a property, like unknown water rights and claimed easements, from the insurance and they also list and exclude anything recorded against the property.
So in practice the only thing you are actually insured against is something recorded against the property that the title company misses in its title search and mistakes the title company itself might make in the transfer.

Right after surgery I was on a morphine pump, push the button type.

They keep you hooked up so they can monitor and alarm on low respiration, low pulse, low oxygenation.

Of course the nasal cannula which also had the respiration sensor was junk, so it false alarmed all the time.

Got pestered by the nurses pretty frequently.

I was on Oxy for 6+weeks when I had my sepsis arthritis on my knee. I was in the hospital and never once desired a drink. But when I got home, I wanted to get off the Oxy and did it cold turkey. You do sleep better with the pain but it's not worse the downside.

Update on my fallen tree: I am meeting a furniture maker in an hour to look at it and see if a slab could be recovered and made into a table or maybe the top of a kitchen island.

The first estimate to move it was $1600 which doesn't include grinding anything - just cutting it up and pulling it out of the yard and into the woods behind the house. I'm getting two more estimates.

The pain I am dealing with now is so little and so infrequent, don't need much pain killer.

Before the surgery, if I walked at all, I would have bad pain that quickly became excruciating in a matter of 2-3 minutes.

I think I could have managed without the opiates at home after the surgery if I could take Ibuprofen, but it interferes with healing, bone grafts in particular, so it is verboten.
