DOE decided to grant a petition to the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) to allow a dishwasher product class with a cycle time for the normal cycle of less than one hour. Former President Barack Obama enacted a rule in 2016 making the average dishwasher cycle more than two hours -- Americans enjoyed a cycle time of one hour decades ago.
It seems more that lots of ineligibles try to vote. In other words, attempted fraud to get an AOC protege elected.
Cabán’s camp emphasized the Board of Elections had invalidated 2,329 affidavit ballots. A source with knowledge of the count said that 1,662 of those were invalidated because the voters were not enrolled as Democrats. Another 144 were not registered voters, according to the source. The remaining affidavit ballots had problems with proof of residency, among other issues, the source said.

The Deep state always stays on offense which is why Barr has to aggressively use whatever Horowitz comes up with.
There may be no dynasty as dominant, no champion as great. Joey "Jaws" Chestnut continued his chokehold on the sport of competitive eating as he ate 71 hots dogs and buns in 10 minutes to claim the 2019 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.
The victory gives him his 12th Mustard Belt and fourth in the past five years as he easily coasted to victory, finishing a full 21 hot dogs ahead of Darron Breeden in second. Despite the win, Chestnut was clearly disappointed with his official number after setting out to eat 75.
"I was going for 75," Chestnut told ESPN shortly after finishing. "I always want a new record. I came out fast, but I slowed down faster than I would have liked."
Conditions were far from ideal for eaters, with the sweltering heat pushing into the uppers 80s, likely contributing to Chesnut's failed attempt at a new world record. Geoffrey Esper, who beat Chestnut two weeks ago in a chicken wing eating competition, finished third with 47 hot dogs.
Earlier in the day Miki Sudo won her sixth straight title in the women's division by eating 31 hot dogs and buns. Her training partner Michelle Lesco finished second with 26.5 and 54-year-old Juliet Lee and Sarah Reinecke tied for third with 23 hot dogs.

Sounds like a joke people made 50 years ago at the expense of hippies. I think it's interesting to compare just how absolutely wonderful a hippie was in comparison to our modern SJW's. A 1960's hippie generally stuck to his word - he was going to turn on and drop out - not get in your face in restaurants, tear down historical statues, club you in the head to prove how anti-fascist they were.
Or tell you that a man can lop off his manhood and proceed to participate in women's sports, a hippie would never have been able to think up something like that. I happen to know plenty of gays, ex co-workers, current co-workers of Mrs. hrt, people I still know from high school, etc. And every one of them that I've heard opine on this issue feels the same - they're pretty much transphobic. They (again, the ones I personally know the opinions of) think transsexuals are weird and that they're taking up too much of the gay pride oxygen with their weirdness.
The hippies needed to bathe more, it's true, but at least they could only name two genders.
Narciso, MRS GUS, taught certified in Milwaukee Public Schools for 11 years, she has taught in a private Catholic school for 20. By all accounts, she is a fantastic teacher.

Politicians often rack up huge incomes during and after their time in office. Harris’ tax returns show an official whose financial success jumped along with her influence on the national stage — and put her among the top earners in a crowded field trying to prove its chops on working class issues.
So you can see why I'm on the Ledge with the binoculars a good man like Allen west can be thrown under the bus by the leg driven out of the state, defamed by Michelle fields,
AOC is an ignoramus, but she's sort of Nancy-Pelosi-stupid. Ambitious people who cannot be embarrassed or shamed are the dangerous ones. It's hard to believe what a short time she's been in office; it seems like forever. 2020 will be interesting. She's apparently not popular with the public (or her constituents?) or the Dem establishment, either, but she's a press celebrity and given the kind oxygen she manages to suck up, I'm sure she'll have a well funded campaign.
CH, what kills the progs and, by extension, the Dem party, is their belief that they can normalize their extremism, increase the size of the Overton window just by repeating their nonsense tirelessly. With alleged moderates falling all over each other to embrace any goofiness the progs throw out there, moderation is dead in the Democratic party. By default, the Dems have to nominate someone who is so very far from the mainstream of American voters - last time they nominated a full progtard, in 1972, he won a whopping 17 electoral votes (even home state of South Dakota couldn't pull the trigger for McGovern).
Porch a different and dumber liberal at the pool today. She declared Trump's speech was all about him. My response: did you watch it? Her: I will never watch anything he says.
Me: He didn't say a word about himself.
Her: That's because the liberal media told him not to.
I give up. Then her buddy came over and confirmed - in my earshot, how dumb I am.
We all know David Brooks is an idiot. But he outdid himself today. The entire column is kind-glowingly vapid and stupid, but the last paragraph may be the dumbest thing ever printed in The NY Times:
It’s often uncomfortable and over the top, but we’re lucky to have a rebellion against boomer quietism and moral miniaturization. The young zealots may burn us all in the flames of their auto-da-fe, but it’s better than living in a society marked by loneliness and quiet despair.
Cap'n, back when it became obvious years ago that they didn't know the treasure they had in West is when I wrote off the GOPe as ever being part of the solution.
Shes like new coke in a way, very selective audience e chunk as caot calls him hired a few stringers like her, a drag queen against the schiffer I'm given to understand.
Nike figures that the core market for their over-priced and stupid-looking shoes is African-Americans, who they're relying on to cheer Nike's flag-dissing. I hope Nike is wrong, but I think it's about time that any investment manager with even a smidgen of integrity start dumping the stock, and for the shoe-buying public to boycott this creepy company.
Remember Sherman McCoy in bonfire an entitled banket who reminded his wife he was so woke he pumped the black power salute, on the way to work. I imagine there are some prog money managers who feel the same way and bid up the stock.
I was reminded that Tom Wolfe couldn't report on the Oakland rabblerousers today without a beatdown and they wouldn't let him into Bernstein's panther soiree.
Speech all about him.
Didn't watch or listen to it.
You inform the dim bulb that Trump never mentioned himself, unlike her hero Obama.
Dim bulb says he didn't talk about himself because of the libtard media.
Libtard acknowledging that you were correct.
SPECIAL KIND OF IGNORANT FULL COMMIE.
I think you're right, Narcisco, some managers are watching their woke p's and q's at every step, but mostly they just salute profits (and they remember that Nike stock actually rose when they hired their in-house flag expert Kaepernick). I'd love to see all these anti-American turds get some comeuppance.
I didn't really see the point going dark on social media for a couple of days. All it would essentially prove is that folks will always come back, because they've got nowhere else to go. We're not just fighting Facebook, we're fighting all the clients who are paying big bucks for FB data, both directly and indirectly, and it's going to take more than a blip in the daily stats to change that dynamic.
At the gym this morning I could MSNBC obsessing over some claim that Trump's speech referred to airports during the American Revolution. Anyone know what they were talking about?
Nike still has a lot of contracts with colleges and pro teams and athletes. Taking them down, barring something that will offend the SJWs, will be a long term thing.
I hope in the morning you have the decency to apologize.
He didn't after calling me an asshole and imbecile so don't hold your breath. My guess he was drunk. I recall him having a similar outburst against Kevlar Kid a couple months back. Going off on Narciso is like going off on Miss Marple. Neither are confrontational nor do they attempt to demean/belittle others like a few resort to.
That's the beauty of the prog m.o. Prog media opine on the news without ever actually delivering it, and since lefties wouldn't be caught dead actually listening to a Trump speech, there's no way to challenge them on the facts. The latter is the really big achievement. I despised Obama, but I didn't put my hands over my ears and babble nah, nah, nah.
It's all a long term thing. When I despair, it's because I don't think folks on the right have the patience for the long slog that substantive change will require.
I despised Obama, but I didn't put my hands over my ears and babble nah, nah, nah.
I did my best to ignore him for eight years, after initially giving him a chance to prove he really was this transformational figure (LOL, that didn't last long), but when I'd criticize him it was based on things he did or said.
We saw this game with the housing stocks, because Clinton and Bush both house trained the banks on subprime they bought and sold any garbage tranche and one day the house came tumbling down.
It really pissed me off. The one thing all Trump haters have in common is the need to say "blah blah blah" while you are talking so they don't have to listen.
Narciso, there's the typical analyst report that assumes something that has been winning will continue to do so, that wouldn't even consider that consumers might change their behavior if given enough reason. Although I certainly like this market overall, I think the Facebooks and Googles and Twitters are probably all good shorts, along with Nike. I gotta love this, from that link you posted: This May, Nike joined 172 other companies in signing a joint protest letter to the Trump administration that called the potential tariff on $300 billion worth of Chinese goods “catastrophic for our consumers, our companies and the American economy as a whole.”
As if Nike gives a rat's patoot about "the American economy as a whole"! They're probably rooting against the economy, because Trump.
"since lefties wouldn't be caught dead actually listening to a Trump speech, there's no way to challenge them on the facts. The latter is the really big achievement."
I agree. They've done a stellar job too. It's always - "what did Fox say that? Fake news" They say exactly what they've been told to say.

At this rate the libs will appear to be the sworn enemies of all that's sacred. Trump is exploiting how their rhetorical symmetry breaks.
I didn't even give him that. He was an obvious POS from the first moment I set eyes on him, IMO.
That's what every instinct told me but the expectations by the usual suspects, including a whole bunch of eventual NTs, were so over the top that I played along just to see.
He was referring to the next American revolution, which he observed from his time machine that was parked at the airport. I mean, sheesh, everyone should know that, give a time traveler a break.

I can't remember how the movie I watched last last week turned out
I am similarly blessed; a book I read or a movie I saw last year, it's all new to me and ready to be enjoyed once more!

Posted by: Captain Hate | July 05, 2019 at 11:16 AM

Posted by: JM Hanes | July 05, 2019 at 11:25 AM
Because this seems eerily similar to the way TomR arrives at what he believes with little or nothing to base the belief on.
Iggy,
What prompted that? I always have something of substance to base my opinions on.

I did my best to ignore him for eight years, after initially giving him a chance to prove he really was this transformational figure (LOL, that didn't last long), but when I'd criticize him it was based on things he did or said.

Gus,
It really pissed me off. The one thing all Trump haters have in common is the need to say "blah blah blah" while you are talking so they don't have to listen.
Posted by: Jane | July 05, 2019 at 11:39 AM
Narciso, there's the typical analyst report that assumes something that has been winning will continue to do so, that wouldn't even consider that consumers might change their behavior if given enough reason. Although I certainly like this market overall, I think the Facebooks and Googles and Twitters are probably all good shorts, along with Nike. I gotta love this, from that link you posted:
This May, Nike joined 172 other companies in signing a joint protest letter to the Trump administration that called the potential tariff on $300 billion worth of Chinese goods “catastrophic for our consumers, our companies and the American economy as a whole.”

He was referring to the next American revolution, which he observed from his time machine that was parked at the airport. I mean, sheesh, everyone should know that, give a time traveler a break.
