CH @ 1:52 from the previous thread.

I just think it's pointless to speculate on something that should have been resolved by now.

Seriously? In Spygate we have the biggest political scandal in US history whose outcome will have a major impact on the future of the country. If you want to have an objective, informed discussion about what all is going on with Spygate IMO that discussion should be based on facts and not false narratives, misinformation and in some cases outight lies.

The Gohmert vs the Globe question is a valid litmus test IMO. Did you read this article I linked earlier?

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-04/32-tips-navigating-society-full-propaganda-and-manipulation

A few of those 32 apply to the question, especially #2 and #7. The direct quotes from the judge and the defendant's lawyer sealed the deal for me. I think those direct quotes are so damning that Gohmert, Howie Carr, Rush, Hannity, Gatewaypundit, etc intentionally omitted mentioning them ( #11 of 32) which is why most everyone here, including me, was unaware of the real facts. I didn't have a definitive counter to Gohmert's narrative until I accidently stumbled upon the Globe article while looking for an article.

Fan who threw 96 mph at in-stadium radar booth signs contract with A's

Baseball fan Nathan Patterson lit up the speed-pitch radar booth at Coors Field a few weeks ago while attending a game with his brother.

Now, he has signed a contract with a Major League Baseball team.

Patterson casually threw a 96-mph fastball at a Colorado Rockies game July 15, and on Thursday, the Oakland A's made his dream come true as the 23-year-old signed a contract with the club.

The backstory makes Patterson's journey even more epic.

He played high school baseball but never pursued it in college, but he started taking baseball seriously again last August. He originally caught the A's attention at a Nashville Sounds game (the team's Triple-A affiliate at the time) when he threw 96 mph there as well.

Patterson told MLB.com he hadn't thrown "for a few years" before last August, and noted of his high school playing days, "I didn't really have a good arm then."

He was injured in a car accident in December and needed surgery. But Patterson was resilient, kept training and stayed sharp in a rec league.

If 11 candidates qualify, will they all be on one stage?

Old Lurker

Jane, MLB average is something like 93. A handful exceed 100 every so often. Record is something like 105.

So the kid has something.

Tom R

Fastball velocity is a topic near and dear to my heart since in a couple of weeks my son will be a college baseball pitcher.

There is a growing debate if the newer, popular training methods younger pitchers are now using to throw 95+ mph are not only causing more and more Tommy John injuries (torn UCL) but also directly causing pitchers to suffer from thoracic outlet syndrome and increased risk of blood clots. For example:

http://www.startribune.com/white-sox-reliever-farquhar-passes-out-in-dugout/480435823/

https://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/mlb-is-thoracic-outlet-syndrome-becoming-a-major-worry-101416

Fastball velo has become a damned if you do damned if you don't dilemma. Pitchers who want to get drafted need high velo but to get the kind of velo MLB now wants in their pitchers you face increased risk of serious health risks.

Old Lurker

Clarice, when records are the issue, we prefer to have accidental fires. Since wives don't like that, it is best to store the papers in a freestanding garage or building. Getting accidentally robbed is problematic since they have to take other stuff besides that one box of papers to make it look real.

Back from the grocery. I am so darn tired of Kroger rearranging their shelves and aisles every month or so, so that I end up wandering around looking for things.

In addition, there are digital coupons, some of which are good for up to 5 of the same item, some of which are only good in multiples of 4, some of which are only good on Friday and Saturday, on and on and on.

It shouldn't require a degree in math to shop wisely.

Is I am following this correctly, Trump staged the theater that positioned Mueller as an enemy of Trump. Radcliffe then provides a strong defense of Trump. Now, because of that strong defense, Radcliffe is permanently scarred and cannot accept the job that Trump selected him to fill.

Had there been no theater, Radcliffe wouldn't be pigeonholed.

This is so, so interesting (to me) -- I'm going to copy and paste. It's long, but easy to read. It was removed from twitter twice (by them) but he finally got it out. I hope it hasn't been posted before -- it's how Zuckerberg gave Obama the use of facebook targeted advertising before his first campaign and how Trump's team used it.

Here's the thread by Roscoe B Davis:

One day you stupid liberal idiots will wake up & realize, it wasn't Russia, China or Ukraine that influenced the 2016 election. @realDonaldTrump hired experts in social media to use the liberals own game to beat them with it.

Information is the most powerful tool in the box.

You want to know why the anti-Brexit Brits hate Trump with a passion? Brexit was Bannon's test model, his petri dish so to speak, it was a test model for Bannon to show Trump how he could defeat the Clinton Machine at their own game.
All you ever heard for years was how much funding Hillary had, how big of a ground game she had. How Trump had zero chance of overcoming all of that, he was a pipe dream. Reverse engineer Trump's movement from Steve Bannon.
Bannon isn't just some blowhard editor of Breitbart and former Annapolis grad. Bannon's mentor Andrew Breitbart discovered the toolbox, Bannon found the way to get into it.
This toolbox was being built back as far as 2007 or perhaps further. But starting in 2007 it really began to grow and become the beast. Way before Trump way before any of this, Obama tapped into targeted advertising with the help of FaceBook, Google, and Twitter.
Targeted advertising isn't a new concept, it's been used for years, decades. All the way back to those corney old Soap Commercials targeting housewives that watched their favorite daytime dramas and the term "Soap Operas" was born.
Facebook approached the Obama Campaign in 2008 offering their help and support. FaceBook was still in its infancy but very much ahead of the curve in data gathering and targeted advertising.
All this cool free connectivity and intermingling isn't free. Social media connectivity is the bait, it's what draws you in and opens you up. They give you all the cool bells and whistles to draw you into sharing everything you know, feel, or even want.
Zuckerberg brought that to Barry gave him full on access to it and Barry in 2008 began the change in how you run a campaign. The use of this data is what you would in fact call a civilian PsyOp.
It's no different that LBJ sending pallets of leaflets to be dropped north of the 17th parallel. FaceBook had developed a way to pinpoint the targeting like never before and the bigger the database got, the more participants that got involved, the better it got.
In 2008 and 2012 it got better and better, and that playbook, that toolbox became the beast. And then along came Andrew Breitbart, a defector from the left.
His suspicions of what was going on, suddenly became clear, and him and his buddy Bannon were going to figure out how to get at it, without letter the left know about it.
FYI It wasn't going after this toolbox that put a target on Breitbart, but his going after ACORN was. That's an entire different story but it's what really moved him away from his liberal past hard.
By 2015 Facebook and Google had built a big enough database of your privacy, that instead of being able to target a group or a demographic, but they could and can literally target an individual. That's finely tuned highly weaponized forms of a civilian PsyOp.
Instead dropping a leaflet in your neighborhood they could mail it to your home, or the next best thing, marry it to your smartphone. This is a powerful tool, and in the right hands, it could be weaponized to reach a planned outcome.
Up until November 8th 2016 it was all considered all fair game.
But when the very weapon invented by the liberal left, developed by the liberal left, & successfully used by the liberal left in 2 POTUS campaigns, was turned on them & used to beat them, it suddenly became Satan.
"It ain't no fun when the rabbit's got the gun."
Trump hired the right people, he figured out their game. And he turned their game on themselves. It's really pretty simple. And all these idiots screaming Russia Russia Russia are idiots.
Just like FusionGPS was originally hired by Rubio Pac people, to go after the other GOP candidates. When Rubio took a dump, FusionGPS found another buyer.
Remember early on Trump was reported to have this huge strategy from a small organization. His team was pretty basic, his kids, his in-laws, and what was his support staff of the Trump Organization.
Kushner sought out Brad Parscale who had done a series of ads for real estate for the Trump organization back in 2011 & 2012, and but him in charge of the Digital Media strategy and they sent DJT down that escalator. It's literally that simple.
As Trump slugged it out with 16 other nominees and came out the guy. Up until that time there was a silent player in all of this and that was Bannon and the Company he co-founded with Robert Mercer, Cambridge Analytica.
They were all in with Team Cruz, and when he dropped out, they approached Trump with what they had and Parscale convinced Kushner and Lewandowski that this is what they needed to do and the direction they need to go.
Literally overnight it converged with Parscale's Trump fundraising and political advertising campaign based out of his little office in San Antonio Tx, nick named "Project Alamo", into a supercharged social media machine that could bulldoze the Billion dollar campaign machine.
On August 17, 2016, Bannon was appointed chief executive of Trump's presidential campaign after the Nomination is secured and the delegates made it official at the RNC.
Manafort was ballast and Bannon was driving the machine, Parscale moved FaceBook data managers literally inside his offices in Texas and they and CA took the digital fight to Hillary and concentrated their efforts on FaceBook with the explicit help of FaceBook.
Trump hired the right people to get a job done, and hired the people that knew how to beat the liberals at their own game, with the tools they developed. All this bullshit about Russians is a joke.
Hillary had 85% of the mainstream media in her pocket, she had the Obama administration spying on Trump and she still lost. She outspent Trump 3 to 1 and she still lost. She rigged her primaries and she still lost.
She did everything she could, including conspiring with UK players and the Ukraine, to try and beat Trump and lost. Russia was the excuse drummed up to cover up the illegal spying, and to try and delegitimize, a duly elected POTUS.
FaceBook & Google have turned your privacy and your data into a commodity worth more that crude oil. They sell that on a daily basis, it's what they do, it's the basis of their business model. Introducing people, connecting people, sharing pictures & thoughts is not profitable.
You know you're over the target when Twitter starts deleting your threads. That's why I backup everything always, it won't just go away that easy.
