The Failing New York Times, in one of the most devastating portrayals of bad journalism in history, got caught by a leaker that they are shifting from their Phony Russian Collusion Narrative (the Mueller Report & his testimony were a total disaster), to a Racism Witch Hunt.....
.....”Journalism” has reached a new low in the history of our Country. It is nothing more than an evil propaganda machine for the Democrat Party. The reporting is so false, biased and evil that it has now become a very sick joke...But the public is aware! #CROOKEDJOURNALISM

I once ordered a short blonde at Starbucks (for those who wouldn't be caught dead in a Starbucks, blonde is the lightest Starbucks roast, and short is the smallest cup of coffee one can get at a Starbucks). The barista asked me what was wrong with a short brunette? She was a short brunette. With my usual sense of political correctitude, I said there was no short brunette on the menu, or I would have ordered a cup of it. We both had a good laugh.

Short (8 oz.), tall (12 oz.), grande (16 oz.), and venti (24 oz.), MM3. At one point the company was thinking about introducing a larger size, but I don't know whether they did. Oddly enough, if you ask for the sizes, short is not mentioned, even though it was the original Starbucks size. In addition, those bookstore and highway rest stop coffee shops operating under the Starbucks name typically don't serve a short size.
I think I have just locked up the 2019 JOM Gold Medal for Purveyor of Useless Coffee Shop Information!

My wine cellar (actually a special enviroment/room at 56 degrees F) is stocked with mainly French (Bordeaux) wines. Includes 12 unopened cases of pre-2000 and 2000 (great year). They were already in the multi-thousand range but thanks to Trump my investment has doubled:)
Lately, I have been drinking "open house" wines neighbors bring over when you have them for dinner.

I can't stand Markey, Warren, Biden or any other Dem running.
I like Lewandowski & do hope he runs in NH because I think he'd make a great Senator. Trump, I think will take NH this time but I still worry deeply about what Soros plans to do. We're in for some trying times until the next election...

Ooops! Dumb me.
Clarice, fabulous Pieces, even if I disagree.
When I was in my third year of college at CU, my best friend was a Chinese girl from Hong Kong. She invited me to Hong Kong for the summer. I had a bank account, opened when I was born, with $800.00 in it. I asked my mother if I could use that money to go, and she agreed.
My friend's father owned the Hong Kong stock exchange, and her mother (in a very fun story) was the #1 trader in China. I was very excited. What an opportunity to learn so much!
That spring the Chinese came in and threatened to take Hong Kong over (it was under the control of the UK at the time) and my friend's family picked up and moved to Canada. End of trip. I'm still mad at the Chinese for that!

Gus, count your blessings that the Brewers got to 7 games in the only World Series they played in.
My team is the San Diego Padres--also an expansion franchise that's 50 years old or thereabouts.
The Padres went to the World Series twice--lost to the Detroit Tigers 4-1 in either 83 or 84; then got swept 4-0 by the Yankees in 97 or 98. Those things hurt so much that the dates are fuzzy in my mind.

Heart (Is that a good way to address you?),
I am an infrequent poster too, so often feel a little out of the loop despite reading almost every thread through. It's like real life in a way - there are the people you interact with daily, and therefore their absence is striking. Then there are those who you see occasionally and wonder what they're up to over a long absence.
My extended family is not very close, so the JOM folks are kind of stand-ins for the extended family I don't have. I mostly observe, appreciate, and, if I'm caught up (which isn't very often), chime in. But mostly, I enjoy the personalities and the differing points of view. Yours is a voice I enjoy, so I hope you'll be around more often.
That said, if anyone is still with me, my husband was telling me about a woman in, I think, Michigan who knows everything there is to know about bearings for old machines, primarily woodworking. And I wondered randomly if anyone here knows about her. She sounds like quite a character.

--How do we cover America, that's become so divided by Donald Trump?--
That's a quote from Clarice's pieces from the NYT dolt.
Before Trump the left was calling us racist pigs and shoving homosexual marriage and every other perversion they could think of down our throats. It wasn't Trump who promised to fundamentally transform the US. It wasn't Trump who launched his career from a radical leftist terrorist's house, a left wing terrorist embraced by the educational establishment of this country. It wasn't Trump who put his financial interests before middle America's and transferred our industry and wealth overseas so they could cut their skim off the top. It wasn't Trump who called us deplorable and irredeemable or told us we're a bunch of dumb hicks clinging to our guns and religion like Linus's blanket.
Trump hasn't divided America. Trump is just the first Republican to point out the leftist sharks and their attendant, ruling class, globalist remora have already divided the nation. And he is also the first to point out they seek to unify us in the same way an amoeba seeks to unify with its next meal.
They're not mad he's dividing America. They're mad he's not another mealy-mouthed sycophantic GOPe creep pocketing his share of the cream while patronizing the people who elected them.

Local prosecutors in Manhattan labeled Jeffrey Epstein a low-level sex offender nearly a decade ago, against the recommendation of a state panel of experts and to the shock of a New York judge.
Documents obtained through a public-records request provide new insight into how Mr. Epstein wielded influence within the criminal-justice system, as his lawyers tried to prevent the financier from having to report to New York City police regularly or appear in a public sex-offender database.
