EVOLUTION IN ACTION: Vegan parents whose strict diet left baby ‘severely malnourished’ avoid jail. “Authorities discovered the couple’s child so malnourished that at 19-months she weighed just 4.9 kilograms (10.8 pounds). Further medical tests revealed that her bones had not developed since birth. Her development was so stunted she didn’t even have any teeth, Seven News reported. Her parents said they had kept the girl on a strict vegan diet.”

Not just work ethic--how about the relationships they would build with their employers and their families, and the opportunities that would arise from that?
Especially when they find out their employers' (privileged white) grandparents were dirt poor, came over on a ship, couldn't speak the language, and somehow made the most of the opportunities they found here and pushed their kids through school, and now have grandchildren who own businesses and are are lawyers and doctors and accountants and such?

I deal with david koch's phialnthropies and vision alot and he definitely envisioned a cybernetically organized society and recognized how to profit from it. I am with A-bob re Byrne or whomever. I have zero interest in reading yet another shocking expose about bad things done by the previous coup-gang. We know, and have known, since Trump was sworn in pretty much everything we needed to know. OK, take a few months to nail the facts down but beyond that, failure to prosecute and publicly humiliate such flagrant, and dangerous, enemies of the Constitutional Republic has long passed "these things take time" and leaves me, at least, with a sense that nothing is/will happen to those people by design. Why, I have no clue but am left with only unhealthy speculation.
What i found interesting was the commonality of data points between fusion and byrnes other research some of it is atraight louise mensch, but if you color outside the circle you get zapped.
MM, how come nobody ever mentions statutes of limitations and the natural erosion of physical evidence and clarity of recall that happens as time passes?
Have you seen a single story written by our wizards of smart that includes a simple chart listing the "crimes we suspect" and the date the statute runs out on each? Sure, go ahead and note in the footnote that "ongoing crimes don't start the clock" and sleep soundly thinking that works easily.
Good Morning! This time last year we were in Jackson Hole. We stopped for lunch at Jackson Lake Lodge on the day of a beautiful outdoor banquet. The daughter noticed Jay Powell and said,"oh the Federal reserve meeting." The security was everywhere, guys with earpieces and guns, park rangers as back-up. I'm surprised they let the riffraff sit on the outdoor patio and order lunch. :)
I have a question for Old Lurker--how much of Martha's Vineyard would be under water if the oceans rose ten feet? I've only been there a couple of times, but I am assuming that most of the island is lowlands. I know there are bluffs at one end.
I don't expect anything to show up on TV or in the papers, except maybe the Epoch Times and sbw's publication.
I am watching the stuff that is being looked at like that thread I posted early this morning, about whether or not the military could take over Twitter, Facebook, and Google if they were collaborating with enemies of the United States.
This whole thing is far bigger than simply getting the Clintons and McCabe.
Now that we see that about 60% of the population doesn't believe the MSM and thinks they are out to get Trump, I think more stuff is going to start to come out.
You have to be able to build a case and not panic people who don't usually pay attention to this stuff. Even my daughter is starting to look askance at a lot of the dems, and she's still a liberal.
Like I said, I am patient. So is President Trump. I don't think people have appreciated that about him.
I keep hearing ads for Koch Industries during Red Sox radio broadcasts, which amuses me greatly since Sox lefty owner John Henry is also the lefty owner of the lefty Boston Globe, and I'm not talking southpaw.

Marlene - Yes she did and she did great. They have not notified us of a selection yet. There were 3 dogs who auditioned. Here she is (on the left) checking out some of the competition. Trump seems to have read my mind well enough to keep his promises and get a lot of stuff accomplished.
I assume that you cannot read my mind to know what I think of your blatantly accusing me of wishful thinking.
What's a puzzle to me is why you cannot enjoy this presidency and the numerous exploding liberal heads as the "vulgarian" outsmarts them. I find it quite enjoyable.
I don't know anything about the kind of business that Trump and OL have shared experience with. So I probably should not speculate that OL is more patient in his own affairs than he wants Trump to be with the country.
Powell is probably the most tone deaf Fed Chair we've had in some time. His reliance on the old models and his inability to be insightful on how the economic factors are changing is frightening.
Nobody wants a Chair who knew jerks to any situation. But there is enough information on inflation, trade and consumer spending to know we're not in a traditional time. We need someone who can read those changes and make much better judgments.
He's also completely wrong on trade. People better get used to the fact the old days of China steamrolling everyone are over. No matter what deal we finally settle on it won't be the one sided pounding of American workers and markets. At least not until a Democrat gets elected.

Totally disagree with that take. For me, the money quote in the whole speech was this:
"This new pattern has led us to understand that assuring financial stability over time requires much greater resilience in our financial system, particularly for our largest, most complex banks."
That's from the conclusion, yet is totally ignored, because their respective, very private, derivatives portfolios poses the largest risks to the global economy, and everyone knows it.
Our Country has lost, stupidly, Trillions of Dollars with China over many years. They have stolen our Intellectual Property at a rate of Hundreds of Billions of Dollars a year, & they want to continue. I won’t let that happen! We don’t need China and, frankly, would be far....
....better off without them. The vast amounts of money made and stolen by China from the United States, year after year, for decades, will and must STOP. Our great American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China, including bringing..
....your companies HOME and making your products in the USA. I will be responding to China’s Tariffs this afternoon. This is a GREAT opportunity for the United States. Also, I am ordering all carriers, including Fed Ex, Amazon, UPS and the Post Office, to SEARCH FOR & REFUSE,....
....all deliveries of Fentanyl from China (or anywhere else!). Fentanyl kills 100,000 Americans a year. President Xi said this would stop - it didn’t. Our Economy, because of our gains in the last 2 1/2 years, is MUCH larger than that of China. We will keep it that way!
Same here TM.

He was lamenting the lack of safety for Western executives in China.

If I still needed to be in China, don't know if I would go today.
Still safe for tourists, but business people, maybe a bit more risky.
BTW, Asia Times is HK based, reasonably "neutral".

Yesterday Mrs. Buckeye read me a historical account of settlers into a particular county in Ohio that included several of her family.
This was right after the Northwest Territory was opened up, late 1700s.
The measure of a man it appears was how much game they had killed, and we aren't talking squirrels and rabbits.
So and so "killed 96 Bears, 42 Panthers, and 207 Deer". Also, "17 Indians".
It was the Wild West of the day.

@NBCNews: “Heterosexuality Is Just Not Working".
I must be an outlier:)

NBC is going for that "more select audience" thing.

Old Lurker,
Graham said that every time they delve into this stuff they find even more.
I am patient.

I know you are, MM.
Not me.
And I don't care what Graham says they are shocked, shocked to be discovering.

There's that recurring Malthusian Theme all over again....
Posted by: Melinda | August 23, 2019 at 10:20 AM

That tree article is good and blows up everything dickweed Richard Powers promulgated in The Overstory with, you know, real sciency stuff.

I have a question for Old Lurker--how much of Martha's Vineyard would be under water if the oceans rose ten feet? I've only been there a couple of times, but I am assuming that most of the island is lowlands. I know there are bluffs at one end.

Too bad the Kochs weren't a package deal. Tell Satan how "conservative" open borders are; he could use the laugh.

Old Lurker,
I don't expect anything to show up on TV or in the papers, except maybe the Epoch Times and sbw's publication.

MM "Like I said, I am patient. So is President Trump. "
And you are patient because you trust Trump to be reading your mind and acting accordingly.
Why Trump is patient is why I worry.

Marlene - Yes she did and she did great. They have not notified us of a selection yet. There were 3 dogs who auditioned. Here she is (on the left) checking out some of the competition. You can see she is noticeably the smallest which I think will be in her favor as Dorothy has to carry her around on stage a bit.

Old Lurker,
Trump seems to have read my mind well enough to keep his promises and get a lot of stuff accomplished.

"@NBCNews: “Heterosexuality Is Just Not Working".
What exactly does that mean?
I don't trust Lindsay Graham as far as I can throw him.

CH@10:48-
Totally disagree with that take.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
