Criminal Subpoenas For Trump's State, Federal Tax Returns

Per the Times, 

8 Years of Trump Tax Returns Are Subpoenaed by Manhattan D.A.

The pretext is an investigation of the Stormy Daniels payoffs.

My guess is that a criminal subpoena is harder to fight but secrecy rules also make it harder to leak without more dramatic consequences. But what do I know?

I don't like how I am coming to hate them, either. That is why I don't answer the creeps I see on Twitter, and why I copy the President's tweets here as much as I can so that you guys don't have to see the replies.

Pence couldn't do it, though. He's a good and moral man, but he has been in politics all his life and doesn't know how to fight like Trump. Also, if Trump were to resign, they would go after him and his kids as a "lesson to us all."

How does an investigation of one payment (completely legal on the face of it) get a subpoena for 8 years of returns. Does a judge have to sign off on it? And is there no appeal or recourse? It’s such an obvious fishing expedition.

Until my doctor decided I needed a lumbar puncture and it went South. To confirm the Pressure Headaches diag.

I ended up at the University of Michigan Hospital last night and had a blood patch to fix the leak that was causing CSF Headaches. Worst pain I have ever had.

Tomorrow, back to work rocking out again. I hope!
