It's my belief Ohr and Lisa Page have been talking and it appears some whistleblower in the FBI alerted the IG to and provided copies of all seven of Comey's memos.
I've thought all along that Page has been spilling after figuring out she was in over her head. She still has complicity in an attempted coup but is probably the least bad.

I picked Ariel up in the pool yesterday to throw her to her dad, and pulled a muscle near my ribcage. Hurts to breathe.
Ariel loves the water and wants to let go and float on her own in her float vest, but she does log rolls and comes up after her face going under all laughing and happy. I've never seen a 2 year old not afraid of going underwater or at least being nervous about it. She also has learned to blow bubbles underwater and just giggles and loves it.

It will take airtight cases with smoking guns, and cajones on the part of Republicans (for which there is precious little evidence), for people at the level of Clapper, Brennan, and Comey to be indicted. I wouldn't bet the farm on it. McCabe and Strzok would be relatively easy fall guys.
I also think Samantha Power was involved, and probably Susan Rice, maybe even Loretta Lynch. My guess is that Rice and Lynch will have plausible deniability, but Power may have her fingerprints on the unmaskings.
Nailing an obvious mid level fall guy will not accomplish what Clarice desires: sentient beings having restored faith in the law because exactly the opposite will result. After three years of Trump claiming what was done was done, and after all we have seen that confirms it and worse, waiting until the eve of an election to nail a flunky will be seen as, and will be, simply a confirmation of the two tiers we suspect and the continuance of Bidness as Usual in DC.
Frankly from a political POV and in light of the fact that for whatever reasons the Equal Justice Hammer was slow walked on purpose from 2016 on, the thing to do now is indict the whole damn crowd from top to bottom on every single charge they can dream up. Charge 20-30 mid to top ranked people as well as 10-20 flunkies, create a prosecution team within the DoJ to process them all, making sure that no charges get tossed before the election. Make it the Nuremberg of political trials and ride the wagon train up to and through the damn election. If in that 50 there are 10 GOPe's, so be it. Hope there are.
Not even close to enough to cure the sickness. Treat it for what it is: a huge conspiracy to steal elections and topple a government by a well oiled and corrupt team of dozens of bad actors and support players.

Rich "then republican congress could barely muster a wimper-"
Congress sure has a role in oversight and in uncovering shenanigans. They can request prosecution. They failed.
But Congress does not charge or prosecute, that is the job of the Executive Branch, under the direction of the Chief Executive. They have failed...so far.
And the Judicial Branch has a role not least in the CJ's direct control of the FISC. And an ability to try to force some consistency in the lower courts. Crickets at best; complicity at worst. They failed.
Yeah, it looks like it, narc. There are mixed reviews of it on Amazon and, although I realize you have to take them skeptically at times, some of the criticisms, like not knowing if a character is alive or not, sound bothersome.
Surgery update: six very generous people volunteered to give up up to five hours of their otherwise-off Sunday morning to get Nick’s collarbone back in one piece—two nurses, a surgery nurse, a surgery PA, the surgeon, and the anesthesiologist. All were so very nice and so very competent. They injected something at the very end, the name of which I forget, which should stop pain around the site for 2-3 days. His trainer came by as he was about to be wheeled out, and then his coach called, so he’s getting a lot of loving care. And then he came home to the dogs!

MM,
This is our hurricane season. Expect many more up to November. Today it was so humid even the Beagles refused to go outside:)
Now if they are a sign of Global Warming, how come we don't get them in May or June? How come?

“a criminal bypassed background checks to get a firearm”
What’s coming next is: “Existing gun laws don’t work. New gun laws won’t work either. We MUST confiscate all firearms.”

MM, about the Reines blockage...
The libs have been building Twitter lists for years and have been sharing them.
Check what lists you’re on.

We MUST confiscate all firearms.
AB, don't know about your neck of the woods, but that ain't happenin' around here.

The Children of the Cornhole are, well, idiots to be sure but occasionally a good and smart angel sits on their shoulder:

The Clintons? We'll have to be satisfied with the fact that they will go down in history as the most corrupt first family in America.

I thiught of tackling that one, but its quite a handful.

Aha! I have recalled the video that sums up my assessment of the odds of indictments of high level kahunas in the Obama Administration. Substitute "indictments" for "playoffs". NFL fans may remember Jim Mora's comments.

“that ain't happenin' around here”
Lots of people in red states say that. Would be interesting to see just how much effort goes into enforcing that, and what reactions would be.

How wonderful, catsmeat.

Excellent, Catsmeat!

The Horde has been remarkably prescient on the opioid "crisis", particularly the dimwitted verdict against the deep pocketed manufacturer.

I would imagine the "powers that be" calling out the National Guard.
I have a lot of friends in the Guard.
They think like me.

Catsmeat ~So glad he didn't have to wait through the long holiday weekend. Feed him some bone broth. I'm sure at his age, he will heal quickly.

That Red Line bus route opened today. It was packed , but since it was FREE, that's understandable.
This article has photos and videos. If you scroll through, you can see how humongous those buses are.

Probably.

Catsmeat-so sorry to hear about your son's injury especially after he made a spectactular play. And take Momto2's advice about the bone broth. It was a big assist to my healing.
Prayers for all here who might be in the storm's path. My brother lives in Orlando and my stepson and family live in Charleston. Praying safety for all here.
