WSJ NEWS EXCLUSIVE
Official to Testify Pompeo Blocked Show of Support for Ex-Ambassador
A senior official was set to tell House impeachment investigators that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other top officials stymied a show of solidarity for the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, according to a person familiar with his closed-door testimony.
Its the Lady Ambassador, I believe.
Shifty Schiff is ruunning low on ammo.

In the 80s, there were some holdovers like robert white, who wanted the guerillas to win, they had the support of reporters like ray bonner, who was a lefty activist with a byline,, he went into exile at the center for international policy, thats where kerry drew his staff from, including jonathan winer for his inquisition

This is almost comical, even if sad. There is a large uncontrolled fire near Geyserville and Healdsburg in the Sonoma Wine Country. PG&E shut down power in the residential lines to prevent a fire hours before the Kincade fire stated.
Now it looks like it was PG&E equipment that started it anyway as one of their main transmission lines had a fault right where the fire started and right before it was first reported.
They can't shut down the main transmission lines without shutting power off to millions in urban areas they don't intend to shut down. The same happened in the Camp Fire that destroyed Paradise last year.
The horns of a dilemma ground extra sharp, I tell ya.

Jack,
As far as I am concerned those people wanting to make a public show of solidarity for the former ambassador should be fired or at least put on administrative leave.
Also, I think he has some questionable ties.

There is a note at the bottom of the story that says the headline and first sentence were changed to more accurately reflect the intent of Page's lawsuit.

When do we turn the clocks back for Daylight Savings Time?
Indiana never used to turn the clocks back, and I liked it just fine. In the summer we were on Ohio time and in the winter Chicago time.
This is the only thing I didn't like about Mitch Daniels' term as governor. He felt we should do what the rest of the states did in order to stop confusion and save money.
I hate it. Also, I don't know when we do it.

State Department contractors receive $2,100- $4,000 per refugee for initial placements etc.
Here's the 2019 report on refugee admissions from POTUS to congress--- compliance with Immigration and Nationality Act
https://www.state.gov/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Proposed-Refugee-Admissions-for-Fiscal-Year-2019.pdf
State Departments spends $548 million annually on "resettlement".
Health and Human Services (feds) spends $1.4 billion on housing for illegal alien children.
Estimated cost of "resettling refugees" over 5 years: $8.8 billion (cash assistance, housing, health care, the Moon).
All stats cited in NOTES section of Malkin's OPEN BORDERS, Inc.
Methinks Trump has put quite a twist on this insidious and well-organized spigot, manned by brokers of "in country" deals providing aid (free money)to "governments" (cash never seems to reach the front lines), funding the associated endless humanitarian crises driving emigration and civil war. chalk up another $8 billion in corruption. Much of the cash is laundered through SOROS' and other billionaire non-profits (open society and tides foundation come to mind) which filters the cash into US resettlement efforts by still even more shady church and SJW non-profits and legal service crooks.
Enter Bill Taylor and Masha What's Her Name (Ukraine's bag lady). no wonder these "career diplomats" don't want the likes of Rudy "the Loose Cannon" poking around their fiefdoms.
i am of the opinion that these dots are worth connecting when it comes to the entire Ukraine fiasco and the nonsensical demonization of "quid pro quo" in the impeachment farce.

Why not amend the Constitution so that any president who is impeached and acquitted is permitted to serve a third term? That would allow him to make up for the time lost advancing the agenda that voters elected him to enact. It would preserve impeachment for genuine offenses but discourage its use for disputed ones and for mere politics. Absent such an amendment, and in an era when government is divided more often than not, impeachment seems likely to become an increasingly common means of opposition.

Methinks you are right. Melinda first clued me in to how Trump has been cutting the spigots for leftist funding, and I have paid more attention to the activities of Mnuchin and various other cabinet secretaries.
It's quite fascinating, and the press still hasn't figured it out, or if they have, they haven't figured out how to write or broadcast about it without cluing the public in on what's been going on.

I agree with henry. In addition, it would encourage, for example, 2024 presidential hopefuls on our side, for example, to vote FOR impeachment so that Trump's impeachment would be successful.

MM-the problem with darvocet was that the narcotic was too mild for the typical patient to get pain relief. (As has been discussed this is how they all work for me), but patients were getting liver damage because they were not sufficiently aware of the toxicity of the acetomenophen at doses of the opiod to give them pain relief.
The oxycodone and hydrocodone prescriptions were on the market at the same time, but gave much more narcotic relief for pain with the same amounts of tylenol for each pill. IIRC darvon got pulled about 2005 or so.
You can also have physical symptoms from discontinuing narcotics without any psychological addiction. I learned that when I quit taking oxycontin cold turkey after I told a doctor it was not working even though they had me on 2 80's per day plus ir for breakthrough pain. I still had a script for another month when I stopped it.
I felt very bad for several days which just made me more determined.

Bishops Ask Pope Francis to Allow Married Priests in the Amazon

"I wonder if Nunes will report on Paul Ryan giving him no support?"
As I recall, didn't Ryan refuse to let Nunes and others issue subpoenas? I don't see Nunes getting the not-who-we-are vapors, when it comes to setting the record straight, so I'd be surprised if he didn't cover that kind of obstruction.
Posted by: JM Hanes | October 26, 2019 at 04:50 PM

Maybe I missed it, but was there discussion of this Obama-appointed judge's ruling about Mueller's grand jury material? I don't think Outhouse even had a thread on it. Conviction and removal in the Senate is trickier. With Mutt & friends a majority is easy. Only question is can they bribe their way to two thirds.
The GOP really doesn't want to do this. As it is they only survive as a party because the alternative is somewhat worse,
