The impeachment polling is shaping up as more trench warfare in 50/50 nation.
I promise you, there are people out there thinking that (to snatch a few recent examples from the headlines) the idea of hosting the G-& at Trump's Doral resort was an optically dubious decision and the Ukraine arm-twisting is not how a President should exert his power. But they're also thinking that the Warren/Sanders intended fracking ban would be a disaster.
We're on track for another sequel: Lesser of Two Evils II.
Or, other members of Congress are protecting their own line of business. The Katie Hill story takes an immediate bizarre twist:
https://mobile.twitter.com/KamVTV/status/1186752968642555904
And there was no arm twisting, except by MFM and Adam Schiff, that should be apparent by now.

Doral was bait for something that hasn't popped into view yet, is my guess. So I'll wait until it does.

https://donsurber.blogspot.com/2019/10/trump-wont-profit-from-g-7.html
The Associated Press (link) reported on February 25, 2019, "President Donald Trump’s company said on Monday that it donated nearly $200,000 to the U.S. Treasury to make good on its promise two years ago to hand over profits from foreign governments using its properties.
"The Trump Organization said a check for $191,538 sent to Treasury represents profits from embassy parties, hotel stays and other foreign government spending at its Washington hotel and other properties last year. The voluntary donation is up from $151,470 sent a year ago to cover the president’s first calendar year in office.
"Trump announced the donation plan before his inauguration two years ago in response to criticism that in refusing to sell off his business, people would suspect his decisions in office would be influenced by spending at his properties and not necessarily reflect the public interest."

If Trump, for whatever reason, decided he was no longer a candidate for 2020, could another "Republican" step in and win??
No.
It's difficult to think of anyone in the party with a national reputation who I have the slightest trust in, outside of President Trump. And I think that I am FAR from alone in that.
