Not that we celebrate death around here but I'll cheer for justice:
ISIS leader al-Baghdadi believed to have been killed in a US military raid, sources say
Trump will address the nation at 9AM. I doubt it is to announce tonight's starting pitchers.
DO LET ME ADD: My kids have put up with many years of the following type of dialogue:
Eager Learner: "I hate those guys [at the DMV / at the supermarket / reffing the game/ whatever]. They are the worst!"
Pedantic Yet Seemingly Inexhaustible Dad: "OMG don't hate! We aren't haters! OK, yes, we hate ISIS. And Bin Laden, but he's dead. And Kim Il-whoever is running North Korea into the dirt is hate-worthy. That pretty much covers it. Don't be a hater."
I try to keep the list pretty short but I'm always happy to shorten it. If I were a better Christian I'd take a hate-the-sinner sin-not-the-sinner view, but I have other failings I'll focus on before my ISIS-hating rises to the top of my self-improvement list.
BONUS: Here is a transcript of Obama on Osama. Some will wonder whether Trump will also be self-congratulatory.
From Gaylord's transcript:
Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
Didn't he have to be coaxed off the golf course to attend the war room overseeing that? And hadn't he cancelled earlier raids?

Conclusion ... Stable Genius.

Surfing the TV news, ABC guy (don’t know his name) actually gives Trump credit for not just this, but his whole strategy of going after ISIS over the last 2.5 years, taking back the territory they’d held, and seriously hampering their ability to stage attacks on the west. --The Kincade fire occurred at about the same time as one of those high-power lines faulted.
The power line caused the fire or the fire took out the transmission line.--
Most likely is the third option; the transmission line started the fire. The power lines had been deactivated hours before the fire started so they had no juice to start a fire. PG&E says it noted a remotely sensed fault in a transmission line in the area. Shortly thereafter a fire was reported that would become the Kincade fire.
Posted by: Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki | October 27, 2019 at 09:29 AM
--If they don't change the current liability rules over who started a fire, California will be devoid of electricity.--
I suspect the state would be more likely to take over PG&E and make it even worse before they would let it off the hook.
If something isn't done the state may have more of a problem than just no electricity. Homeowners insurance is becoming increasingly difficult to get and increasingly expensive with many people paying two or three times what they did just a year or two ago. Many have to get homeowners insurance that doesn't cover fire from a private insurer and then sign on to the state's very expensive fire insurance government run version designed as a fallback for uninsurables.
Quite a few escrows are being held up over this issue.

The operation started at 5PM yesterday. He didn't tell most people in Congress due to leaks. They got intelligence, plans, HOW ISIS GOT STARTED.
No one injured except canine ("or as I say, a dog"). Listed the Americans and Jordanian that ISIS brutally killed by name. Will be calling American families.
Operation had been planned for 3 days. (Which means since before he went to South Carolina.)

What we saw in that speech was a demonstration of a leader in complete control.

I have quit most mainstream press links on Twitter, TV as well.
I think they are evil. I don't know who controls them (Soros, China, democrats, whatever) but they do NOT care about this country and I am tired of even reading what they have to say.
I watch this guy's podcast around noon:

You can always find a link on his Twitter page. He is pretty free with the four-letter words but he has good contacts and understands Trump better than most.
I also watch Dan Bongino's pod cast, available on YouTube and comes on around midday. He is very good at explaining all of the investigative and police type stuff associated with the coup.
I just can't take the regular media any more. They are awful.

Trump callously allowed a dog (man's best friend) to be put in the line of terrorist fire, and that dog was injured; it's the worst thing that's happened on earth since Mitt put the family dog on the car roof. An example of man's inhumanity to beast this severe is, must be, an impeachable offense.

Has it been established yet whether or not Trump’s decision to withdraw US forces from Syria was a deception to lull ISIS into a false sense of security and expose themselves? I read that the US had been surveilling the ISIS compound for 2 weeks. How comes only for past two weeks and not longer? Perhaps it’s only been for the past two weeks because we didn’t know for certain where the ISIS leader was until he dropped his guard?

Many of these same idiots have selective memories. For Chuck to even say he took all of the credit is to admit just how deranged he has become. They are out of their minds & need to be crushed anytime one of them opens their stupid mouths with such nonsense.
Some complaints I’ve heard already is why would Trump describe in such detail what happened on a Sunday morning. President Trump explained it perfectly & provided examples of the evil ISIS has accomplished. It might bring discomfort to some but I’m glad Trump explained what happened, how & why. Much of the successes of this mission will go on deaf ears or be ignored. The public has been fed so much BS & lies for so long that they need reminding.
God bless this President & God bless our troops! God bless the canines trained to assist our forces too.
Take care
