Barr’s comment on Wray can be interpreted in so man ways that it’s probably wiser NOT to assume any intent from the wily prosecutor past face value. Wray’s contributions could be either witting or unwitting, and we’ll never know until told.
If anyone is withholding exculpatory evidence that would exonerate Flynn, then I believe it would be DOJ attorneys who report to AG Barr that are doing that, not the FBI.
The $1 million dollar question I have been asking ever since the Mueller SC ended is, assuming there is exculpatory evidence, why hasn't AG Barr dropped the case?
Should be is too good
I cannot respond to TomR because the FBI started s counter intelligence investigation into a candidate and then President of the United States.Comey ,their head guy ,signed 3 FISA warrants based on false information that he knew at the time was unverified.Rosenstein also signed a warrant which was false on its face.
These are facts.
DC didn't steal the Expos. The franchise, at the end of their existence in Montreal, was basically in receivership (the MLB owned the team from 2002 until the Lerner group purchased the team (04-ish) to move them to DC). their last season in Montreal they were playing to record low attendance and playing home games in Puerto Rico. there is still a lawsuit circulating through the courts between the Nats and Orioles over television rights and revenue sharing.
Brennan to me is a communist spy who has been imbedded in our government for the past 20 years.
Does he still have a top security clearance?
If so ,someone on the Trump team dropped the ball and it should be corrected as soon as possible.
Clapper looks guilty as sin and we have recently heard nothing but silence from McCabe.
Comey in s recent interview displayed irrational, zealot like behavior.
I think he has gone off the deep end along with Hillary.
I think down the road ,both will rely on the insanity defense to stay out of jail.
It's interesting that the first thing targeted in the Trump administration was the NSC. Initially, I thought it was based on an Obama vendetta against Flynn, but perhaps not so much. MacMasters came in and proceeded to clear out the people brought in by Flynn. His policies, however, ran counter to the President's, so out he went.
Bolton is another curious character, but I'll set that aside for now. The question is, when and how did Vindman arrive at the NSC? Who brought him in or was he an Obama holdover?
I don't mean to go Hollywood here, but shades of the Costner film, "No Way Out", come to mind along with a touch of "7 Days In May".
Thanks for the input all but I smell a whitewash coming. I hope Barr isn't more concerned about saving the integrity of the institution than exposing the truth. I'll remain skeptical.

there is a large professional staff in the Executive Office of the President and Obama appointed lots and lots of czars (striping out portfolios from confirmed cabinet secretaries and handing them over unconfirmed czars). from there he had all manner of secret working groups ...

Your understanding of Hannity’s interpretations may be the more complete explanation. The use of “IF” carries some weight as well, when assuming things.
My position on Wray is that he is where he is because Trump wants him there.
It could be that he is there as a double agent; in other words, the Deep State thought he was on their side, but he really was acting for Trump. So perhaps the delays in releasing items were done in order to make them think that he would cover for them, and now they are discovering that it is just the opposite.
If Wray were a mistake, Trump would have no problem with firing him. He has the authority to do so and wouldn't give a hoot what the press said. See Scaramucci for a good example.
Which makes me wonder if Scaramucci was actually a spy for the Deep State who got hired and then discovered. He sure has become very nutty sounding and perhaps in a panic.
Boy, this IS like a mystery novel or spy movie, isn't it?

China’s new cybersecurity laws under its Multi-Level Protection Scheme 2.0 (MLPS) will require that all internet service providers and mobile data providers require facial scans to sign up customers for new services. The laws will go into full effect on Dec. 1, 2019. This means that every new cell phone number assigned in China will be associated with a facial scan.
Scaramucci went to visit Cohen in jail. Why would either of these two jokers allowed near President Trump or the White House?
Very bad vetting and I wonder who is to blame for their hiring or placement.
Scaramucci is starting an AntiTrump PAC for 2020.
I wish Durham could find info to bring down the Mooch.
As I was watching my podcast, I learned that Wray is a financial analyst type, one who did audits and financial investigations.
This is interesting to me because all of these banks, money-laundering groups. double books operations and such are more his forte than some other candidates might have had.
MLB, under the reign of Lying Buddy Selig, did their level best to murder the Expos, starting with the 1994 strike that ruined the franchise's best chance to win a World Series.
Then, before FINALLY letting them move to DC after two seasons of purgatory split between Montreal and Puerto Rico, MLB gutted the team, leaving DC with a bad joke of a team for several years, rather than the competitive team it could have been right from the start.
But that was par for the course for Lying Buddy; everything he touched turned to crap (except his own personal bank balance, of course).
One person that comes to mind is K.T. McFarland, Deputy National Security Advisor under Gen. Flynn and for a brief time under MacMaster. She was named Ambassador to Singapore in May 2017.

Alexander and his twin brother Yevgeny Vindman have some serious explaining to do. Both Ukrainian by birth, both holding dual citizenship and both holding TS clearances, (unusual for dual citizenship holders) both put in place by McMaster
John Yoo, a former Bush administration Justice Department official, said Monday evening on Fox News’ “Ingraham Angle” that he found it “astounding” that Vindman would be advising Ukrainian officials against Trump’s interests.
“You know, some people might call that espionage,” Yoo said.
it was all three of mine. i think my main takeaway would be that Obama politicized the Executive professional staff (and more generally the entire bureaucracy) to such an extent they became a "government-within-a-government" accountable to Obama, and once the election was certified, they went to work covering up the crimes of the previous administration and undermining the Trump administration at every step of the way.
it seems pretty obvious Obama and the deadenders of the previous regime really don't want anyone poking around Russia and Ukraine. why would be a follow up?
I read an article the other day, can't remember who it was but it could well have been mentioned here, that pointed out that even if Trump were somehow removed from office by the Senate, there is nothing in the constitution or anywhere else saying he couldn't run again in 2020 anyway! Could you imagine, under those circumstances, Republicans wanting anyone other than Trump to run?
i thought part of an impeachment conviction was not being able to hold a position of profit or trust after? but then there is Alcee Hastings so i'm probably wrong.
I guess I am going to have to grit my teeth and go gas up the car this afternoon. It is supposed to be wetter and much colder tomorrow and the next few days.

@MaxBlumenthal
I was arrested on Friday on a COMPLETELY FALSE charge manufactured by the Venezuelan opposition related to their siege of the embassy in DC. I spent 2 days in jail, was shackled for extended periods & was denied my right to call a lawyer. Here's the facts:
I want to return to what was discovered during the raid when Baghdadi was killed. The president said they found lots of documents about ISIS, what if it included information about this from a commenter at the Wretchard link:
Obama armed and financially supported ISIS thinking they would
overthrow Assad. Shipping arms to ISIS via Turkey was the whole reason
we were in Benghazi (operation Zero Footprint). Exposure of the purpose
is why Obama preferred to let everyone be massacred than send troops to
save them. It's why everyone who survived had to sign a NDA.
The
Gang of Eight at the time - including Pelosi, Schumer & Boehner -
had been read in and supported arming ISIS. McCain knew as well - which
is why the Benghazi hearings never went anywhere.
The New York
Times reported as much in 2016.
I would very much like to know what was found in Baghdadi's lair. I sure hope we find out before the election.
I would rather have the current closing of cash pipelines continue, with the accompanying financial straight jackets put on evil doers (whether Soros, the EU, or Iran, if they are truly different). Let's get the benefits before showing our hand.
Now here is a tactic that I can see the Dems using here to multiply their voter base: From the Torgraph about UK December election.
"Votes for 16-year-olds could scupper December election - live
It looked like an election was a certainty when Labour said this morning it would back a December poll. Yet Boris Johnson's bid to go to the people before Christmas could be pulled if MPs vote for an amendment that would lower the voting age to 16. A No 10 source said the Government would pull the General Election bill today if it is amended to lower the voting age to 16 or to give votes to three million EU nationals living in the UK. Danielle Sheridan has the latest developments as MPs debate the Government’s bill. But if a general election is called, which party benefits from the vote happening in December? Tony Diver, Josh Wilson and Mason Boycott-Owen explain all.
As another General Election potentially looms, the battle for No 10 will be fought and won online. Yet could cyber criminals and fake news ruin the chances of a fair vote? James Cook looks at the sophisticated hacking and online influence campaigns faced by the Government. Amy Jones analyses why a first non-Thursday election since 1931 could be good news for the Tories.
And in a piece of non-election focused political news, Ruth Davidson has abandoned her plan to take a second job with a lobbying firm."
The Gang of Eight is a colloquial term for a set of eight leaders within the United States Congress who are briefed on classified intelligence matters by the executive branch. Specifically, the Gang of Eight includes the leaders of each of the two parties from both the Senate and House of Representatives, and the chairs and ranking minority members of both the Senate Committee and House Committee for intelligence as set forth by 50 U.S.C. § 3093(c)(2)
I did some more digging and Sidney Powell is asking the judge to order the DOJ to turn over the contents of Misfud's phones to Flynn's defense team. I can understand why the DOJ opposes this. Flynn plead guilty to lying to the FBI. His case centers around his phone call with the Russian ambassador (which was perfectly legal) as well as his lobbying efforts for Turkey. Whatever evidence is on Misfud's phone (FISA abuse by Obama officials to spy on Trump) almost certainly has nothing to do with Flynn's case.
On that note while I am sympathetic to Flynn because he opposed Obama's Iran nuclear deal and did nothing wrong involving the phone call to the Russian ambassador, there has to be some legit reason that AG Barr is not dropping Flynn's case and clearing Flynn of any wrongdoing.
If Flynn was getting paid by Turkey to lobby on their behalf AFTER Trump took office and Flynn was the National Security Advisor then IMO that is a significant ethical lapse and conflict of interest on Flynn's part. I have no idea whether Flynn informed Trump or anyone else about his lobbying contract with Turkey. If Flynn did not disclose his lobbying contract with Turkey and/or lied to Trump about it then I can see Trump ordering the DOJ or Mueller SC to punish Flynn for his unethical transgressions. That is one possible explanation for AG Barr's actions. I can't think of any others that explain the DOJ's actions against Flynn.
This is suitably scary. How two factor ID makes hacking easier.

As I was watching my podcast, I learned that Wray is a financial analyst type, one who did audits and financial investigations.
This is interesting to me because all of these banks, money-laundering groups. double books operations and such are more his forte than some other candidates might have had.

You're right, DC did not steal the Expos.

Posted by: rich | October 29, 2019 at 01:41 PM
I read an article the other day, can't remember who it was but it could well have been mentioned here, that pointed out that even if Trump were somehow removed from office by the Senate, there is nothing in the constitution or anywhere else saying he couldn't run again in 2020 anyway! Could you imagine, under those circumstances, Republicans wanting anyone other than Trump to run?

Robin,
Ryan was in the gang of 8.
