My brother spent three hours driving north today, so listened to the entire morning's worth of whatever that was. He's an interested but not fanatical follower of the issues. (JOM commenters are at the fanatic end of the bell curve.) His background is labor relations, but he is not an attorney.
His thoughts:
Democrats look a tad inept today. I do not think they moved the needle in their direction at all unless we have the OJ Simpson jury hearing the case.
The Democrats and liberal groups such as the NAACP would be the first to complain if this type of testimony is considered fact as to proof.
They need to go through court to try to enforce their subpoenas to get the required witnesses instead of trying to do a bum rush on an artificial timeline
The Democrats may not end up making more Trump fans but me thinks they are going to definitely make more people who will never be Democrats. Time for a new Party.
I think the winners today are the Founding Fathers and The Constitution.
The Dems today, both the legal experts and the Representatives, extolled the virtues of these brilliant men and their forward thinking unique document that stands the test of time in its fairness and accountability. Many of them quoted the early patriots as examples of thier brilliance and dedication to the future republic.
I guess they are no longer a bunch of old white racist plantation owning mouthbreathers that scrawled out a reparations worthy document.

Re Gus's foot, never forget how dangerous ladders are.
Have a friend who fell off one and broke his lower leg. He has a condition that can be a precursor to leukemia. Ended up having it amputated because it never healed.
Have another friend with a mild, so far, case of Parkinsons. Fell off his ladder [that he should never have been on] couple of weeks ago. Compound fracture of one ankle and shattered the other one. His wife just had a knee replacement a couple of months ago and now she has to take care of a husband who can't even walk.
That injury prompted another friend to tell me about the guy he was talking to at his yard sale last week. Working on his deck. Fell off his ladder. Compound fracture of his femur. The compound was his femur...COMING OUT HIS BACK! Been six months and he's thinking of amputation too it hurts so much. His foot however doesn't hurt. It's so numb he accidentally hit with a sledge hammer and didn't even know it until he noticed his shoe was full of blood.

Speaking of Rosenstein, how does the white hat crowd spin the Oct 20th scope memo that he signed, giving Mueller authority to go after Flynn's son.
In combination with the October timing, the addition of Flynn Jr to the target list relates to the ongoing 2016/2017 investigation of his father, General Michael Flynn, for: (1) possible conspiracy with a foreign government; (2) unregistered lobbying; (3) materially false statements and omissions on 2017 FARA documents; and (4) lying to the FBI.
This October 20th, 2017, request from Weissmann and Mueller aligns with the time-frame were special counsel team lawyers Brandon L. Van Grack and Zainab N. Ahmad were prosecuting Michael Flynn and attempting to force him into a guilty plea.
Getting Rosenstein to authorize adding Mike Flynn Jr. to the target list (scope memo) meant the special counsel could threaten General Flynn with the indictment of his son as a co-conspirator tied to the Turkish lobbying issue (which they did) if he doesn’t agree to a plea. Remember: “jointly undertaken activity“.
The October 20th, 2017, expanded scope memo authorized Mueller to start demanding records, phones, electronic devices and other evidence from Mike Flynn Jr, and provided the leverage Weissmann wanted. After all, Mike Flynn Jr. had a four month old baby.
The amount of twisted pressure from this corrupt team of prosecutors is sickening. A month later, General Flynn was signing a plea agreement:

My last outlier question before I disappear until the Dec 9th Horror-owitz Report.
Am I the only one who doesn't click on Twitter links that lack any description as to why they were linked here?

If Melania were a Democrat, the fashion mags would be ecstatic and we would be seeing her on every cover every month.
Instead, nada.

My sister, who worked in fashion retail all of her career, hates Trump and snubs Melania.
How can you work in fashion and snub Melania? That just doesn't compute. She's gorgeous by any standard of feminine attractiveness. If she was a Kennedy I'd say the same thing provided the bruises weren't obvious. I think I even described Big Mike as "pleasant" looking who unfortunately had atrocious taste in clothes and had the gait of a hobbled mule.

Very interesting but she has always been a shadow Trumper.

from Kevin Dowd's column:
Adam Schiff has pursued the president with the obsessive zeal of Inspector Javert in “Les Misérables,” but his results have looked more like Inspector Clouseau’s.
I like that.😊

Amazing.

Maybe he can tell Lisa and Strzok to "hold hands, you lovebirds".

We have an honest to God fashion model as First Lady
and I can't remember seeing her face anywhere on a magazine at the
grocery store in the last three years.
For eight years you couldn't walk ten feet in a store without seeing
Gigantor lumbering toward you on several different magazines. She
wears clothes marginally better than a sawhorse would.

My last outlier question before I disappear until the Dec 9th Horror-owitz Report.
Am I the only one who doesn't click on Twitter links that lack any description as to why they were linked here?
"Balthazar says 'Simon'," and similar obscurities don't peak my curiosity. I don't write the rules, but I do remember a day when the JOM Report had quotes to go with links that weren't self-explanatory by the link language itself.

Captain Hate,
Azathoth is exactly right.
If Melania were a Democrat, the fashion mags would be ecstatic and we would be seeing her on every cover every month.
Instead, nada.
It's disgusting.
My sister, who worked in fashion retail all of her career, hates Trump and snubs Melania. When I was working selling furniture and she was in fashion retail, she told me to watch "The Apprentice" because Donald Trump was so smart and I could learn a lot of tips from his show!
Now if he comes on the TV she runs away like he has a voodoo curse!

Captain Hate,
1. Her oldest son is gay, so she thinks she has to hate Trump.
2. All of her friends from when she worked are democrats.
3. She watches nothing for news but MSNBC, CNN, and NBC.
