Sen. Mitch McConnell calls a charade a charade:
POLITICO Playbook: McConnell: Quit the charade, impeachment is a ‘political exercise’
SENATE MAJORITY LEADER MITCH MCCONNELL on “Fox and Friends” this morning: “Do you think Chuck Schumer is impartial? Do you think Elizabeth Warren is impartial? Bernie Sanders is impartial? So let’s quit the charade. This is a political exercise. … All I’m asking of Schumer is that we treat Trump the same way we treated Clinton.
“We had a procedure that was approved 100 to nothing -- Schumer voted for it, to go through the opening arguments, to have a written question period, and then, based upon that, deciding what witnesses to call. We haven’t ruled out witnesses. We’ve said let’s handle this case just like we did with President Clinton. Fair is fair.”
MCCONNELL was asked if he had spoken to Schumer: “Yeah, before we left town. Look, we’re at an impasse. We can’t do anything until the speaker sends the papers over, so everybody enjoy the holidays.”
“THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, if they think this is a very significant episode, can take it into account we’re voting [next] year. Most people that I run into, whether they are fans of the president or not, say, ‘Well, why don’t you just let us decide this. We’re in the middle of the election.’”
Interesting. So the door to calling witnesses remains ajar. I am confident Pelosi and Schumer believe McConnell will slam it shut with a procedural vote at the proper time so they want an upfront guarantee. As if.
Hopefully the debate over whether or not it is unique that some lawers overbill their clients while delivering substandard results stays on the previous thread.

Thanks for confirming you were talking about Mueller/Comey. Let's just refer to the entire scandal as Spygate.
If you are going to make the argument that Trump's enemies were resorting to the tactics that I quoted, are you willing to admit Team Trump has resorted to some extraordinary countermeasures to fight back using any means available to them such as deception, misdirection, their own half-truths/false narratives etc?
Let's assume there are multiple members of the Obama administration, DOJ/FBI, CIA, etc who were involved in the spying on the Trump campaign. Lets also assume there are some White Hats on Team Trump/Team USA, whoever they may be, actively working on identifying everyone involved in the crime in order to bring them to justice.
Wouldn't you expect Team Trump to resort to some kind of clandestine efforts themselves in order to prevent the Obama criminal cabal from knowing what all was going on?

Sounds like you are saying institutions like the DOJ/FBI, CIA etc are still engaged in deception against Trump and Team Trump is "grappling in the dark" which to me sounds like you think Trump is still on defense.

And this from the body of the letter, OMFG:
"Though some of our efforts did not become law, such as providing homeless community college students with a safe place to sleep at night ..."
Um, shouldn't these "students" be focused on getting a job, becoming self-sufficient, then attend classes at night or on weekends?

Newt Gingrich wrote at the time, "as President Trump gave a historic speech in Saudi Arabia before the leaders of more than 50 Muslim-majority nations, journalism’s first draft missed the history almost entirely.
"While the media focused on the ephemeral questions — whether the president would use campaign rhetoric in a diplomatic setting, or how the trip would affect the Obama legacy — they largely missed the real drama of the moment: a titanic shift in U.S. foreign policy occurring right before their eyes.

jane,
Because of our heat and humidity it generates mold. You may not see it but it is there. You'd be surprised that when they built your house, it may have rained ovrernight while the rafters were in place then dried out but not enough when they closed it up, the mold came out in sort of invisible means.
We have had rain, rain, rain, for the last 72 hours. Now a little sun but still cloudy. When the heat comes out, lots of spores which breed the moldy conditions.
Its Florida and its quaint and predictable features:)
