December 23, 2019

MM, he told Bongino that he paid attention to Twitterers, he didn't specify which ones. Bongino's twitter army is on a completely different storyline that the DawsonSFields and TBeanzs. I could be wrong but I don't think Nunes was giving a shoutout to people who tweet that Comey is a White Hat.

Total goes up to 465.

‘If they’re investigating me, they’re a–holes’: Giuliani rips Manhattan US attorney’s office

Tom R

Now that journalism for the most part is dead and replaced with Fake News and propaganda I for one appreciate the effort put in by the Twitter Sleuths to try and uncover the facts. I think it's a signal they must be doing something right when the Twitter Sleuths get banned, some permanently, by Twitter.

I don't think so, either. What I think Nunes was saying is that he found them helpful because it gave them ideas on what they should look for and where to look.

That is not the same as giving an individual shout-out.

The Sleuthers claimed all along the Nunes didn't know jack until he went to the Whitehouse and Trump's team filled him in on the actual spygate events. In that podcast Nunes clarifies exactly why he went to the Whitehouse and it completely and totally shuts down The Sleuthers claim. That leaves two choices.

A.) Nunes was giving a nod to The Sleuthers, who figured out that he has been lying for years, and continues to lie on Bongino's show.

B.) Nunes was telling the truth.

I was typing as you posted, MM. Yes. I agree with you.

It will be interesting to learn who Bongino's source has been. Nunes was impressed with that person's analysis.

Tom R

Bongino, who I like, is a very popular pundit, not a Twitter Sleuth.

Thank God.

Tom R

TK @ 5:41

Can you tell me at what point in that 55 minute podcast Nunes states he was the person who notified Trump that Obama had been spying on him during the campaign? I don't have time to listen to the entire podcast so will skip straight to the pertinent part.

Thanks in advance.

Jim Eagle

I put twitter sleuths, you, and other bloggers on this who post without any background in DC politics in the same category. Nothing you, or your compatriot thinkers influences one once of my thinking on what is true or false or right or wrong. I make my own decisions based on what I see as fallible and non-fallible. IOW's I discount internet discussions and look at the candidates experience, voting record compared to their pronouncements and if they are pro-2A, pro-life, and pro-Constitution. Pretty simple, actually.

Devin Nunes told Dan Bongino in his interview that he and his staff paid attention to those sleuths, because it gave them ideas on where to search.

Why believe anything on the internet. Perfect platform for misdirectsion.

Listen to it played in reverse, Tom. You will hear "red herring, red herring." It is right after that.

You can then superimpose it over your recording of Trump saying that Nunes is a pawn who needed spygate spoon-fed to him.

Your assumptions will really run high then. Good luck!

On the other hand, if you want to review the Nunes interview and point out his deception, that would probably fit the etiquette of Spygate Debate that you dismissed JohnH over.

Sorry for the language but this story is too bizarre not to keep track of. This lunatic lawyer, Hook, with the lunatic client trying to shake down Allstate with a ludicrous claim was in the news a while back for the crazy demand letters he sent Allstate's lawyers;
Lawyer Who Told ‘Cumstain’ Opposing Counsel to ‘Pay Up Fuckface’ Is Off the Case.
So he was supposed to show up at a hearing to show cause this week but apparently didn't show. Or did he?

Hook’s clients have new lawyers now, and all parties had gathered in a California courtroom of U.S. District Judge Otis Wright to discuss Hook’s behavior, but the lawyer was nowhere to be seen. As the proceedings dragged on, Judge Wright told Hook’s former clients that he wouldn’t dismiss their case. That’s when Hook jumped up from the courtroom audience.

Judge Wright was pissed. “Were you hiding?” he said, according to ABA Journal. “Were you waiting to make a fashionable entrance?” According to law.com, Judge Wright and Hook traded words and Wright demanded Hook give up his license to practice law.

“I will not do that,” Hook said.

“Shut up,” Judge Wright said. “I want you to resign from this profession.” As of this writing, Hook is still allowed to practice law in the state of California.

There is no word on whether or not he went “batshit crazy on you mother fucking cock suckers,” as he promised to do in a November 23 email to Allstate’s lawyers.

The more extensive ABA Journal story on the hearing.

A guy has somehow achieved the impossible and managed to give lawyers an even worse name. Hilarious.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

Sorry, Hook didn't have the lunatic client.
I was thinking of the Paradise couple trying to shake down PG&E with their claim of a $300 million emerald destroyed in the Camp Fire.

Emeralds can get destroyed by fire? Do they melt?

Donald J. Trump
Wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume that Republicans in the Senate should handle the Impeachment Hoax in the exact same manner as Democrats in the House handled their recent partisan scam? Why would it be different for Republicans than it was for the Radical Left Democrats?

Jane, from a wiki comment, emeralds will fracture from heat.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

--Emeralds can get destroyed by fire?--

Based on the opinion of the Justice Minister.

This is not something I think is a good idea. While I don't want people to suffer, I think there is too much room for machinations with this.

Sounds like “death panels.” Coming soon.

According to gemology online, a fire that is hot enough to melt aluminium (@1200° Celsius) can damage an emerald. Emeralds are very heat sensitive and can fracture at around 850 degrees Celsius.

From the horrible article linked by both MM and anonamom:

“Single-family housing zones would become two-zoned,” Samirah told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Areas that would be impacted most would be the suburbs that have not done their part in helping out.”

Truly a bold prediction that the Dems wouldn't toss in the towel, and declare the issue moot.

I’ll take your snark as confirmation Nunes didn’t say what you claimed he did and you were just making it up. You posted 4 and 10 minutes after MM linked to the 55 minute long podcast so I didn’t think you had even listened to it yet.

If Pete Buttigieg becomes President, he’ll be the second President to have a spouse with a Penis.

There was a Dirty Jobs episode, MM, where Mike Rowe went up into one of those wind monsters. He had to drain gallons of oil out of the transmission that converts propeller rpm to generator rpm. It is a violent environment in the gearbox trying to subdue att the torque created by the large blades. The oil gets destroyed at a rapid rate due to the heat and friction, so changing oil is a frequent operation.

Once again your"take" is a ridiculous assumption that you think benefits you.. Not a surprise.

The Nunes interview was posted yesterday.

Here is my take. I find it unrealistic that a person who has dedicated years to all things Spygate can't find 55 minutes to listen to one of the top 10 names involved on either side of this scheme.

It is almost as if you thought being clever with your question would provide cover for you not doing your homework.

I am probably wrong though.

I’m not sure what all that meant but Congrats to your family!

Great Christmas story!!

McGahn left in October ,2018 before the Ukraine dustup, so only issue is with obstruction in regard to discussion of firing Mueller. After Horowitz report in which FBI fudged the e-mail on Carter Page in March of 2017 and before Comey's firing which now everyone can agree was justified, any Mueller grand jury testimony should be deemed fruit of the poisoned tree. All 3 dem cases, on grand jury testimony, tax returns and executive privilege should be tossed by the supreme court.

Correct. Bongino is going to repeat whatever the Team Trump narrative is. I already know what that is.

I am proud to be a snobbish elitist TomR because I know more about DC than you will never know unless you spend my time there as both lobbyist and reservist. You are welcome to take your shots at me but it doesn’t disprove you don’t know what you are talking about.

From yesterday, Tom.

Bongino interviews Nunes and talks about the spying that went on before Trump by Obama. Well worth checking out.

President Nunes...sounds nice.

And that led into the next page:

Where I make several comments about the Nunes interview as well as relink the interview.

If you asked nice questions like, "did you have time to listen to the interview, TK?" Instead of you leading questions that falter because you didn't do any research, the Spygate dialogue would improve.

But, I'm probably wrong about that too.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

Interesting article on the business cycle from an Austrian perspective.

So Tom R what hat is Mueller wearing so why allow the 19 page executive summary and not include grand jury testimony like Barr requested. Mueller was not on Team Trump and my opinion is that neither side wants a resolution at this point since they still have to sell a narrative for the next ten and half months to keep the viewers watching.

Ahh.. Bongino is being deceitful with his audience.

Trump campaign plagued by groups raising tens of millions in his name

Outside entities are raising huge money in Trump's name, despite disavowals from the campaign, and spending little of it on 2020.

Tom R

TK @ 8:11

It appears I was wrong. My apology. Back to my original question. At what point in the podcast does Nunes point out it was him who notified Trump that the Obama administration had spied on him during the campaign?

This Twitter thread has 3 videos with Rudy Guiliani and OAN about Ukraine, corruption, Adam Schiff, and Joe Biden.

I notice Rudy is having to give interviews to non-mainstream networks for the most part, because the mainstream is locking him out.

Worth listening to.

The Team Trump tentacles have spread much further than I would have ever imagined. The purveyors of The Narrative are shrewd and there is no telling where they might set up shop and perform their misdirection.

Is it possible that an expert on The Narrative would be so bold as to settle amongst a bunch of contrarians just to keep them off the scent? But, then again, throwing them off the scent would have them no longer trusting the authors of The Narrative, which would put them right back on the scent, to which The Narrative would immediately misdirect them again. And so on.

There is an important goal to be achieved by utilizing misdirection amongst loyal Trump supporters that have a different opinion. But is the goal seeker really sending us towards the goal, or is that misdirection as well?

I am certain that whomever solves this riddle will almost certainly have "Smart Sicilian" and "Iocane powder" on their resume.

Tom R

I am proud to be a snobbish elitist TomR because I know more about DC than you will never know unless you spend my time there as both lobbyist and reservist.

Now you know why your 5:51 was perceived as an insult. Thanks for telling the truth and confirming my perception.

jim nj,

We need to find another source for that story, because Politico is anti-Trump, and one of the sources quoted worked for Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney.

That type of article makes it look like the Trump Campaign isn't good with finances, which isn't true.

I am very suspicious of stuff from Politico.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

I'm not so sure that article previously mentioned here claiming the Senate can dismiss or try at any time is as iron clad as the author says.
In the Nixon case she cites, the House impeached Judge Nixon and sent the articles of impeachment to the Senate. The issue in Nixon was, could a Senate committee decision voted on by the Senate satisfy the Constitutional requirement for a trial. The Court said the Senate has plenary power on how it tries an impeachment case. It did not take up the question of whether it can act prior to the House forwarding articles of impeachment.
She bases her whole argument not on the language of decision of Nixon but on her interpretation in this paragraph;

The Court also held that no separate provision of the Constitution is defeated by such a plenary construction of the Senate’s authority. Therefore, not even the sole power of the House to impeach is defeated by the Senate’s sole power to acquit or convict. Boom. Just end it now, Mitch.

I'm not sure she hasn't got the argument exactly backwards from what she intends but regardless of what she meant to say, the jump she is making is not explicit or even necessarily implicit in the Nixon decision. The Senate's plenary power to try cannot be extinguished by the House. But when that plenary power exists is obviously dependent on the House's prior actions. She may be right, but it is not nearly as cut and dried as she states, IMO.

Not sure why McGahn ever spoke to Mueller in first place, plus who cares since the whole Mueller report should be deemed fruit of the poisoned tree.
